DLA waiting times 2022

Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

@Nicolaoro567 I had to ring the decision maker rang me in the morning yesterday to ask some questions and then made the decision yesterday after they spoke to me you should get your decision Tuesday if it anit already bin done xx

I received a text today to say my son qualifies for DLA, still wait for the second text for my other son. They both Autistic. My forms were received on the 11th of Feb. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

My form was received 2nd Feb and im still waiting...

Oh no! Seems to be no chronological order in how the claims are dealt with. Hopefully you hear something soon. Maybe worth a phone call to them to chase it.

I'm the 3rd and still not heard anything I'm debating whether to ring they did tell me on Monday they was working over the weekend

@Sararm they’re not taking calls until Tuesday due to the bank holiday :)

@stressedmummy94 I realised earlier haha. unfortunately I'll have to ring on Tuesday... I've been waiting for so long... it gets frustrating..

I recieved a letter apologising for the delay in making their decision. My form was recieved 21st Feb. Its crazy because me and my friend sent ours off the same time and she had a decision. Back to waiting xx

Do any one know what date we are up to for new claims xx

I called this morning and they said mine is with a decision maker. Scan date 15th Feb. So hopefully have a decision by the end of this week she said. Told me I can try calling again Friday if not received a text by then to see if a decision has been made

I can't even get through it let me go through all the options then hung up twice. My sons was scanned the 14th so fingers crossed our is also been looked at x

Oh thats positive news mine was scanned the 18th thought I had about a month to wait still

@Momof2soonmomto3 I have actually managed to get on hold now 20 mins in but least the calls going through fingers crossed for good news, I really want to pay for private SALT the wait time by me is 10 months

@Momof2soonmomto3 let me know if you have any luck we’re same scan date as you 18th feb we’re away till Sunday so haven't got reference number or anything with me.

So I rang up this morning, Scan date 12th April and he said about 9 weeks atm so that takes me until 14th June so I'm in for a long anxious wait 😖 anyone else around the same time as me?

Hello can any tell me how long it took for them to receive there back pay after being awarded mine was done on Thursday and still nothing
