DLA waiting times 2022

Hi All,

I have ASD 2 years old boy and i sent DLA form for him in 7 dec 2021. But I haven’t received any news yet. How long is usually you get awarded?

The thing is i want to put my son in 2 years old nursery but i’m not eligible for 2 years old funding. I found the nursery that i like and my son can start there after easter but they want funding from the government.

There are another way to get funded by government is via DLA. I need to get the DLA first then i can apply for funding 2 years old in nursery. Do you know how is the process for apply funding 2 years old through DLA route??

Hi dla received my forms 14th feb got a letter on the 4th April saying sorry for delay on decision I wont loose money is this normal if so how much longer to wait al be in my 9th week now 🤦‍♀️🙄

Mine were received on 11th of Feb, and on the 4th I received the same letter. It’s frustrating I don’t know how long we need to wait more. I don’t even have energy of calling them.

I have just been on the phone to them and she said give it a few more week !! Keep me updated how u get on hun 👌👍

I received a call and we’ve been awarded HRM under the ASD, SMI and SPD route. Fingers crossed for everybody else still waiting to hear. My claim was put on system feb 10th but it was escalated as I originally asked for a form Nov 21 but they sent to wrong address as they didn’t update system correctly. All back dated from then too.

He's been awarded until 2028 back payment due in tomorrow! ☺️

That's great news, that what we are waiting for, the mobility side. I'm not holding my breath, he's not been diagnosed yet we are still waiting, his ehcp has now been done, he gets hrc, going out is our biggest struggle though, to the point I can't bare leaving the house. Only the other day he darted off in front of a bus. The wait is driving me crazy

Yes I called I posted to you this morning I had no txt no nothing but you will hear tomorrow I think for yours

They made the decision on Friday but people heard by txt before so don’t wurry

Mine was stamped 3rd Feb. Went to decision maker on the 7th. We heard today that our son has been awarded. But I never got a text I just rang up by chance to see. Then got told he been awarded.

I got a letter today to say sorry it is taking longer to assess our claim. Is that a bad sign, or has anyone been awarded having received that letter? Thank you
