Hello, my forms for DLA (for my son aged 5 with ASD & GDD) were received and put on someone desks on 26th August. This Thursday will be eight weeks exactly and I’m starting to panic a little anyone want to wait with me for their replies?

I called tax credits and it only took a few days for the back payment to hit my account. Make sure you tell them you want it back paying from the date your claim was started, they tried to give me just 30 days but sorted it very quickly when I noticed. Also make sure they know if you're high rate, they put mine as middle and I only noticed when the back payments came. Good luck everyone xx

The rates for high rate disabled child element are around £90 a week more I believe xx

@4andapup do you wait for your next up payment or do they just put it into your bank ? Or does it go through if backpay ? X

Mine went through on Monday then again on Tuesday, as usual on Wednesday then another the Tuesday after! It's usually 3-5 days after they action the change on the phone. Do you have an online tax credits account? Log on and you will see all the payment dates and amounts xx
