Making hay while the sun shines and always adoring Beatrice.

I have chosen the thread title this time, because current circumstances means the sun isn't always shining for Beatrice at the moment. Indeed, she is currently in hospital in a fair amount of discomfort. However, when the sun does shine, and we have bright and clear days, we pack in as much as we can.

When we brought Beatrice home from SCBU, we had the consultant's words ringing in our ears, 'Take her home and make some memories.' I feel confident and proud that we have made a treasure trove of memories, however long Beatrice's life may be. She continues to be surrounded by so much love and adoration from her family and I feel this love has helped her to thrive.

During the difficult days, such as these, we pray hard for peace and calm, and for a quick resolution so we can take our darling girl home and make even more precious memories with our beautiful Beatrice.

As with all other threads, same rules apply , read if you want to, post if you can, but above all, please spare some positive thoughts or prayers for Beatrice.

You are not on your own. We are all with you.

I am praying the new abs work for Bea like they did for my ds. I know it can happen, I've seen it with my own eyes.

It's sounding much more positive.

Bea had a bit of an uncomfortable night- she found her voice (she never usually cries) and boy did she use it! She's a lot more comfy today. Her diarrhea is worse so they're doing a stool sample. Dr thinks ABs are beginning to work! We've reduced her o2 to 1 litre and she's coping well. Heart scan shows heart is only slightly enlarged, not enough to worry. Hoping that Bea is continuing to improve.

So glad that Bea's O2 requirement is improving. The diarreah might just be due to the AB's (DD was terrible last year when she was on strong ABs for a chest infection) but good that they've taken a sample to check just in case.

Hang on in there and hopefully you'll be home again soon. Take care of yourself cup. X

Sorry she had a such a rough night. Glad she is more comfortable today.

Ds had horrendous diarrhea on the abs as well, like nothing I have ever seen before or since, apparently some of them just seem to have that effect, which is a double insult to children who are already really poorly. Finding her voice is a good thing too.

Ds was so ill he didn't speak for days and we knew he was getting better when he started to complain and shout at the nurses who were treating him.

It does sound like she's gradually improving and good news that the scan showed there is nothing to be worried about.

Come on Bea, you're almost there sweetheart.

Good to hear the dr thinks the abs are working. Hope bea continues to improve and you are home soon.

What a roller coaster. Come on Bea get better for mummy so she can show you offin your new home :)
