SN children

Making hay while the sun shines and always adoring Beatrice.

I have chosen the thread title this time, because current circumstances means the sun isn't always shining for Beatrice at the moment. Indeed, she is currently in hospital in a fair amount of discomfort. However, when the sun does shine, and we have bright and clear days, we pack in as much as we can. Smile

When we brought Beatrice home from SCBU, we had the consultant's words ringing in our ears, 'Take her home and make some memories.' I feel confident and proud that we have made a treasure trove of memories, however long Beatrice's life may be. She continues to be surrounded by so much love and adoration from her family and I feel this love has helped her to thrive.

During the difficult days, such as these, we pray hard for peace and calm, and for a quick resolution so we can take our darling girl home and make even more precious memories with our beautiful Beatrice.

As with all other threads, same rules apply Wink, read if you want to, post if you can, but above all, please spare some positive thoughts or prayers for Beatrice. Smile

Really wish I could have given more, but hopefully the 'MN collective' is able to help a little to make the move less stressful for you all.
Take care

Have sent a small contribution. Please use it for whatever you want.

MNHQ didn't mean to take your email address down - although you may choose to after a while, I think they were just doing their job.

Good luck with everything especially for Bea xx

No please keep it up. MNHQ have to follow guidelines but if they were worried they would remove it themselves.
I hope it's ok I have posted on prayer thread too as others are asking how to help.

Agree LEAVE IT!! We all offered to help you. I am a little brassic myself (understatement!) until payday but would like to contribute then and you can use it for food, hospital car park fees, something new for the house for all I care! Just take all the help on offer. Smile

As long as you are happy to have your RL name (I presume?) in Virtual Land, then there si no need to change anything at all.
I am sure MNHQ will have an office whip-round too

Our Annus Horribilis was 2004 when I spent 7 weeks in hospital prior to DS2's premature birth, sold a house, bought a house, moved house and I returned to work all within the same 6 months. I still have flashbacks.

So, really, sympathies, hugs, a few quid will follow - I hope this will help to get some hired muscle on board.

I am so shocked at the message from MNHQ. I know the point they are trying to make but fgs this is a MN that everyone knows, a baby that everyone loves and they are in a really really really diffucult situation.

Cup - do not apologise. People know you are genuine and want to help. If they can't give physically then financially is often the only way they go show their support and love.

No cup it's honestly fine. HQ have to put that disclaimer on any thread which involves money.

WE asked you to let us help you.

Now you behave yourself missus!

I'm sorry, you are right of course MNHQ. Perhaps it's better to take my PayPal address off. I don't want people feeling obliged. Perhaps I should start a new Beatrice thread as this one is nearly full anyway, and leave this episode in the past. Feel terrible now. Sorry again x

Hello

Please forgive us crashing in to the thread. We're all thinking of Bea at MNHQ.

Some of us at MNHQ have met cupofteaplease and we're sure lots of you on here 'know' her one way or the other too, but it is our practice in situations like this (where MNers are very generously helping each other out) to remind people not to give more of themselves, financially or emotionally, than they can afford.

Best wishes to Bea and the rest of the family - and hope the house move goes well.

MNHQ

I've just had a food parcel delivered by a lovely friend- shepherd's pie, tikka masala, oat cookies and juice- real food!!!!

Right, I think I'm set up on PayPal- elizabethrogers(at)live(dot)co(dot)uk

I hope that works. I tried to open a hotmail account in Bea's name, but I can't access the site from my phone so I thought, oh sod it and used my own email account.

Another candle lit for Beatrice at church today.

Another one here wanting to give to a 'help out' fund. In the circumstances it seems the best way we can help by hopefully taking some of the financial pressure and practical hassle of the move from you. Please see it as the best sort of gift for Beatrice - we want you and your DH to be able to be with Beatrice as much as you can - without all the extra worry of the packing up and move. x

Still thinking of you. I hope Bea's had a more settled day after this morning.

Agree about paypal account. As we're all willing to travel if it's easier to donate the petrol money and more helpful I'm all up for it. x

Thinking of you often - as my gran used to say 'That, and 2 pound fifty would get me a bus ticket'.
I'd be more that happy to put that in to a Basket for Bea Smile.

Strength sent her and your way, and good luck with the move when it comes x.
