Thanks to Thumbwitch for inspiring the title of this new thread. Smile

I will do my very best to minimise my worrying about the future as none of us know what it holds. For now, it's all about celebrating Beatrice's life today, every day.

As always, please feel free to follow us on our journey, and thank you in advance for the wonderful advice I am bound to receive from fellow parents, of SN children or otherwise.

Here's to a positive, uneventful thread!

I'm a fan of Morhulin for sore bottoms - I had it as a child and it has worked beautifully for my children.

Happy Easter Bea and family! [busmile] I wonder if you have been allowed any chocolate (hot or otherwise)...mmm.

theDudesmummy · 08/04/2012 14:31

Can I just put in a vote for an absolutely magic cream if the metanium does not clear it up completely. Antepeol is fantastic, one smear of it literally clears up any rash within a few hours, every time. Do try it. It is not widely available or even much known about (it really should be, it is amazing) but you can get it from online chemists such as

theDudesmummy · 08/04/2012 14:37

Sorry, spelling is Antipeol.

cupofteaandahotcrossbunplease · 08/04/2012 15:25

Happy Easter everyone Smile hope you are all feeling sick from chocolate! Wink

Bea is being passed around the family like an Easter prize, whilst the older girls have dragged their grandma and uncle to the park. Happy days!

Hi all again,

I realise that I didn't really conclude what had happened at hospital. Basically, On Thursday morning ward round the doctors decided they didn't know why Bea was still spiking a temperature, so they declared that it must be, 'just her brain' Hmm, how scientific(!)

Anyway, I brought her home, and that seemed to do the trick, she has been fine ever since!

Right, I have a little plea now. I don't know if this is allowed on MN, but as it is hidden away in Beatrice's personal thread, I figure that the only people who read it will be interested in helping her. Let's hope.

Basically, I am hosting a fundraiser for Helen House Hospice at my house on Tuesday 1st May, from 10am- 2.30pm which I have named Tea for Bea (catchy, no?!)

If you are local to South Northants, please PM me for address details, I have an NVQ level 3 child carer available to look after babies or pre schoolers who may attend, so that mums can just enjoy some tea and cake in peace! Grin

If you are not local but would like to help, by sending a cake/savoury bake or a raffle prize, please feel free to PM me too. Any and all donations will be VERY gratefully received Smile

If this is not allowed on MN, please ignore MNHQ Wink

Tea for Bea sounds great, I'm too far away to bake but will happily donate some money for the hospice. Pm me details and I will send a cheque. I hope it's a fabulous afternoon and you raise loads for the hospice xx

CestTout · 10/04/2012 04:23

Glad to see you ar home and ha a good Easter.

SallyBear · 10/04/2012 07:56

Cup. I've pm'd you about Tea with Bea. Smile

cupofteaplease · 10/04/2012 12:04

Thanks for the interest in Tea for Bea. Smile

I've added another picture of dd2 holding Beatrice- a bit of a difference from them together in the Peppa Pig costume!

Bea finally has her 3rd set of jabs this afternoon, the amount of times we've had to book and cancel them due to illness...!

ExitPursuedByABear · 10/04/2012 12:53

My hasn't she grown!

I am too far to join in Tea for Bea, but let me know the details and I will happily send a donation.

(I could bake a cake but it probably wouldn't travel too well.)

saffronwblue · 10/04/2012 13:04

Wow, cup I just scrolled back trhough all your photos. It is really moving to see Bea grow and change and always being surounded by so much love.

Is there anyway to donate from overseas? Do you have a paypal account?

Carrotcakeisace · 10/04/2012 20:34

My goodness, look how much she has grown!

Gorgeous as ever of course xx

MarzipanNPrayers · 10/04/2012 21:23

Fab picture, bit too far away to attend the snazzy Tea for Bea but hope it goes well and when I can will send in a donation.
