Drinks and snacks on the table ( non alchoholic and low carb stuff to the right)..

I have no children tonight.. I may doze on and off throughout the evening as last night was a long one with DS.

Had an interesting convo with school .. Ds is now not showing any signs of distress... And has been Cured... With a touch of maturity!
Damn.. I didn't know he just needed to grow up..
< shucks>
anyway i mentioned that his anxiety was coming out physically ( bad belly for weeks and sleep talking non stop... Which is keeping the house awake every night)... And guess what?! ... It's better it coming out that way than through hard work behaviour at school.!

I. Give. Up. !

MOOSE. I a bit confused by that teacher- she was cross that your ds shouted at another child;so she tries to solve that by shouting at him.....

bigcar · 28/01/2011 21:17

moosemama · 28/01/2011 21:21

Ooo melted, just think, you may have cracked a huge car crime syndicate. Exciting.

Nothing interesting ever happens here.

ouryve, sorry to hear you're poorly. Hope you get lots of tlc and nursing over the weekend and feel better really soon.

Ineedalife · 28/01/2011 21:22

Phew , friday again, no wine for me thanx but I have had cake and chocolate tonight already.

Had another Looong meeting with our CAMHS man on thursday[without Dd3], totally exhausting but talked about loads of stuff.

He did a parents questionaire with us, think it was similar to the ADOS anyway when we had finished he said he would almost certainly be referring her to tier 3!!

Dd3 is still loving her gym ball and has taken to the visual timetable really well.

Couple of negative schooly thngs, but hey not a bad week in all.

ouryve · 28/01/2011 21:22

Moosemama, there must be a super secret college that turns out teachers like this. DS1 and his teacher are constantly locking horns and it's completely against her instincts to back off before he does.

Good for you for composing yourself enough to make that call, though.

superfantastic · 28/01/2011 21:24

lol can I explain... I am only going to the spa as its a Christmas pact between girly friends and family to not buy each other gifts but have a day out instead, treat ourselves not each other! Grin ...but if I like it I NEED it monthly!!!!

1980Sport · 28/01/2011 21:24

I realised something quite sad today...I love handy manny! I was excited when an episode I'd never seen came on this afternoon Blush
That's when you know you really need to get out more!

devientenigma · 28/01/2011 21:25

Hope you have fun super x

moosemama · 28/01/2011 21:25

Into, he didn't shout at another child - he shouted to indicate something to them.

Actually he was surprised/shocked by something unexpected that happened and shouting out was just a kneejerk reaction to that. It was kind of a "Hey, look at that!" shout, not a nasty or aggressive one. Teacher just lost it because he didn't respond to her when she spoke to him but she has just been told he has processing delay ffs.

I was seething for hours afterwards, not only did she seem to think it was ok to scream at a child, let alone a child who has ASD, she then came out into the playground, told him off again in front of all the other parents and was aggressive and rude to me. Angry

Strangely, she was all sweetness and light to me the next afternoon. Hmm

devientenigma · 28/01/2011 21:26

trouble is sport playhouse disney doesn't finish until midnight!!

ouryve · 28/01/2011 21:26

Crossposted there moosemama, but thanks. I feel infinitely better today than yesterday.

DH was a star last night :)

meltedmarsbars · 28/01/2011 21:28

We've had a hotel safe dumped here before (lonely, out-of-the-way place).

Grin

And 7 lorries torched.

An abandoned car on the wrong side of an electric barrier at night.

And a car failed to negotiate a bend and went right through the hedge into the field, invisible from the road!

Ineedalife · 28/01/2011 21:29

LOL 1980.. that happens to me all the time with all Dd3's tv obsessions, if we are watching an episode of something we have never seen before we get really excited.

Hence my nameGrinGrin

1980Sport · 28/01/2011 21:30

So is it really bad watching it when the dc's are in bed devient? Lol

My two aren't even at nursery age yet - but I'm dreading the school years!! Moosemama - I'd have cried in the playground :(

moosemama · 28/01/2011 21:30

Ineed, was it the pre-assessment background questionnaire? The one that takes a full history from antenatal to the present day? I found that one exhausting. It was amazing how many of the signs were there when ds were younger but we hadn't a clue.

In an odd way, I think it kind of helped me to get my head around it all. I'd only managed to thing about parts of it all individually before, but talking it all through with a professional, from start to finish, in one afternoon sort of helped to get it organised in my mind iyswim. It really helped to prepare me for his assessment as well.

1980Sport · 28/01/2011 21:32

I'm glad it's not just me Ineedalife!! I also sing 'what shall we do today...' a lot!!!

devientenigma · 28/01/2011 21:32

totally sport, though I can empathise with you there.....when midnight comes I just don't what to watch!! Jungle junction on at the mo...though my ds is till watching, he's nearly 10.

intothewest · 28/01/2011 21:33

That is such a bad way to deal with anything- How horrible for you and ds MOOSE
SUPER- only kidding- hope you have a great day-
I have to leave now for a while as DD 'needs' the computer (my fault for not allowing computer in bedroom)Grin

bigcar · 28/01/2011 21:33

blimey melted, it's all go there isn't it! We once had a car dumped at the end of the culdesac we used to live on, they torched it too Hmm wasn't a really dodgy area, honest.

ouryve, dd1 is on year 1 of her teacher training degree, it's shocking how little sen training they get.

moose, how unfair, I don't think anyone quite believes me when I say how much understanding is lacking at dd3s school, surely it's not rocket science to listen to the parents.

devientenigma · 28/01/2011 21:33

I bet you both do the dances as well lol

moosemama · 28/01/2011 21:34

Thanks ouryve, I wasn't all that composed to be honest. But the secretary was so lovely. She sussed straight away that I was crying (even though I did my best to hide it) and I reckon it was her that got the boss to call me back as our lady was unavailable.

Fortunately, by the time she called me back an hour later, I had calmed down and had my kicking butt head back on. Grin

(Or should that be my kicking butt boot? Confused)

devientenigma · 28/01/2011 21:35

ouryve, when my sister done her teacher training she fought to go on the sen module as they were advised to go on others!!

meltedmarsbars · 28/01/2011 21:39

Moosemama - kicking butt boot. We all have them hidden (or not) at the back of the wardrobe, here in SN world!
