@SBParker99 well I sent the a message saying I was getting the courts and my no involved then the day after the awarded it me which was last week it's been with the approval team since and I'm getting told the same old 'well let you know via your journal once it's been approved'

Blabbermouth93 · 26/11/2021 07:55

Still nothing today was the last day they had to make a decision so they’ve told me over and over I’ll phone again at 9 and then later on today getting a joke 🙄

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 08:39

Ring dead on 9 I hope they say they made a decision for you I feel like no one knows what there talking about I spoke to some one yesterday afternoon and she said if I don't hear b4 Christmas then defiantly ring back they've had mine for nearly 9 weeks Monday so I don't expect to wait till after Christmas lol x

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 08:39

@Blabbermouth93

Alk19 · 26/11/2021 08:53

The waiting is awful I rung universal credit this morning to ask where my back payment is the woman said once your award has been recalculated it normally takes 7 working days for approval and payment sent... it's been 8 'working days' now so she then decided to backtrack and say no I meant once it's been approved it takes a further 7 days there a joke I'm absolutely sick to death of chasing them

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 10:28

@Alk19 that is absolutely terrible I'd threaten them again with further action absolutely stupid you I formed them ages ago it should have all been dealt with pretty quick it's not hard they are useless xx

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 10:28

@Blabbermouth93 let me no how you get on xx

Alk19 · 26/11/2021 10:30

@Jneill2021 I did this morning can't see it helping me any more but worth a try Xx

Blabbermouth93 · 26/11/2021 12:56

@Jneill2021 spoke to them this morning she said it’s taking up to 10 weeks I said it’s been over 10 weeks oh sorry we’re having a backlog it should be dealt with today she said try phoning middle of next week I was like what today was my deadline she said she could be working on your case now or later on today do I phone them back up later , they are taking the biscuit lol

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 13:02

@Blabbermouth93 O god no one gives a straight answer I had my sorry for delay letter on 15th so I'm hoping it goes to a decision maker any day I'm going to ring again this afternoon lol , hopefully they are working on yours now I just wish they would give a straight answer so we would no what's going on it's always something different everytime xx

Jneill2021 · 26/11/2021 16:34

@Blabbermouth93 did you ring them back? LolX

CloMo1995 · 27/11/2021 06:08

Hi, I'm back lol, is anybody here on the old benefit system still and know how long it takes child tax to add the disability element? Thanks xx

Blabbermouth93 · 27/11/2021 09:27

@Jneill2021 still had no decision haha infuriating so Monday call it will be lol x

Jneill2021 · 27/11/2021 09:39

@CloMo1995 usually only takes tax credits couple days and they sort everything, that's what happend with mine for my girl but that was couple yrs ago, make sure you ring them instead of by app as they put me down for hrc for my daughter when she was mrc and I had to pay back the mistake they made xx

Jneill2021 · 27/11/2021 09:41

@Blabbermouth93 o god hopefully over weekend, I rang again yesterday had nice lady saying it taking the 10 weeks instead of 8 atm so I'm hoping sorted quick as 9 weeks Monday lol xx

DeludedWench · 27/11/2021 10:26

I hate this waiting, it's so nerve wracking! I'm thinking of calling on the 1st, as that's between the original 8 weeks and the updated 10 weeks.

But I have this feeling we will be denied and then it's the many weeks for the MR. I'm sitting here like "surely they can't deny on the fact our son relies on a wheelchair" but they always find a reason it seems!

CloMo1995 · 27/11/2021 10:41

@Jneill2021 I rung on Friday and told them, the man just didnt give me a time frame on how long it will take lol, i told them middle rate and no mobility. Did I need to tell them anything else? Xx

Jneill2021 · 27/11/2021 12:04

@CloMo1995 If you claim careers allowance you have to tell them xx

Jneill2021 · 27/11/2021 12:06

@DeludedWench everybody has that feeling its because there so hit and miss with there decisions they say it just goes on care needs but in my cases in the past being rejected because of no evidence, did you send it evidence of needing extra care or diagnosis of any sort? xx

DeludedWench · 27/11/2021 23:29

@Jneill2021 I sent a Urology letter which lists all of his diagnosis and explains them a little but more focus on his kidney problem.

It does seem random, I've seen two of the same diagnosis get different outcomes!

Deluded I've seen two of the same diagnosis get different outcomes!

This is common, it is because DLA is based on needs, not diagnosis.

Blabbermouth you might want to report your posts as you can see DS’s name and NHS number etc on the photograph.

Blabbermouth93 · 29/11/2021 09:07

@Jneill2021 any luck yet hun x
