DeludedWench · 30/11/2021 13:57

Jneill2021 · 30/11/2021 13:59

Good luck to you to I will keep you updated I'm ringing tomorrow to make sure the evidence had been scanned on x

whereareyousellotape · 30/11/2021 19:16

Sound like my claim decision will hopefully be this week I posted it 28th September and they signed for it 29th. I've not heard anything from them to say they received it or anything though so hopefully they have it Confused

Ysey2 · 30/11/2021 19:30

Does anyone know how long renewals are taking? My sons current claim isn’t up until Feb, but sent the forms back 22nd October, I had a letter saying the received it and to ring up in 8 weeks if I haven’t heard anything. But wondering if they will wait until his current claim is nearly up before giving an answer?

Jneill2021 · 30/11/2021 21:39

@whereareyousellotape you should ring them to make sure because I have heard this before and they say they never recieved the claim did you send it next day Signed for ? Its always the best way tbh as they can't say it wasn't delievered xx

Jneill2021 · 01/12/2021 09:41

Does anyone no how long roughly there claim was with a decision maker before finding out the outcome ? X

whereareyousellotape · 01/12/2021 10:26

I have just rang to make sure they have received my form which they have but the advisor said for some reason my claim has not been registered but was scanned on 29th September?? I'm not sure really what that means she said she will register it herself when she gets off the phones at 1pm then it will be allocated then go to a case worker or manager or something. 🙄🙄 things like this always happen to me something always goes wrong so I'm not sure how much that hold up will be. The lady on the phone was lovely though!

Jneill2021 · 01/12/2021 12:43

@whereareyousellotape I would have thought scanned and registered are the same thing it shouldn't Pro long it I shudnt imagin as the dm is given outer dates this week so I shudnt imagin it taking longer then normal x

Hi, my form was received on 4th October so I am hoping I receive a decision soon. The waiting is making me so anxious as I am unsure whether my daughter will be awarded. I’m not really sure if she is entitled either. She is 2 years and 9months, she does not really speak other than 2 or 3 words she has picked up. She is showing a lot of signs of autism, including speech regression, as a 1 year she knew almost 20 words! She also has glue ear, which is considered as hearing loss, she has suffered from this for almost 6 months. Her nursery have put an ECHR in place and a referral to Senco, she is awaiting this referral. She is under speech and Languge and audiology. She has a referral to neurology too which is still pending. I only sent 2 pieces of evidence with my application form: a referral letter to neurology and her most recent audiology appointment details which state that she made no eye contact which needs to be assessed with neurology. Nursery very kindly filled in the form too and stated that she struggles with routine. I have detailed how much extra care she requires but I am just not sure whether it will be enough. I am so stressed out, I would just like to be able to cater to her sensory needs more than I am able to at present…

Alk19 · 01/12/2021 22:47

@AKM001 my son was awarded back in august he was 2 years 4 months at the time he's very similar very evident on the asd spectrum his hearing is fine and only started nursery in September (he has a number of teams involved although we haven't heard from them yet) he doesn't talk has no communication either don't stress to much did you get the part in the application filled in by anybody? I only sent his SALT report and his peads report x

AKM001 · 01/12/2021 22:57

Good to hear! If you don’t mind me asking what rate was he awarded? It is such a long a stressful process for us, as we know that something isn’t quite right, but also don’t want to self diagnose.. it is also difficult to discuss the care issues with people who don’t understand. But I guess as long as we have happy and healthy children, that is all that matters!

I got that part of the application filled out by the nursery which she has attended for a year, I couldn’t find the SALT report to send..my bad! And I don’t yet have a pead report although she has been referred, we are just waiting for a letter with an appointment.. I did send her last audiology assessment letter and her referral letter for neurology x

Alk19 · 01/12/2021 23:20

@AKM001 he was awarded middle rate but in my letter they will contact me in April when he turns 3 as he has hypermobility (prone to falling more bendy than he should be) to see if he qualifies for mobility he also has pica the kid eats anything! It is really hard but I wouldn't change him for the world Xx

AKM001 · 01/12/2021 23:37

Arrrw! He sounds like an amazing little boy! I used to work with a guy who had pica and it was very intense, god bless xx

Alk19 · 02/12/2021 00:30

@AKM001 please tell me it gets easier! Haha he sees things I can't even see have to have eyes in the back of my head Grin x

Blabbermouth93 · 02/12/2021 07:11

Blabbermouth93 · 02/12/2021 07:55

@Jneill2021 you still not had a decision yet keep phoning them I phoned daily as they can make a decision half way through the day xxx

Jneill2021 · 02/12/2021 08:02

@Blabbermouth93 Not yet the wait is just exhausting, yh I'm going g to ring them again just before they close today, just hoping there quick with a decision as I sent loads of paperwork so really hoping it speeds the process up xx

Imitatingdory · 02/12/2021 09:38

AKM001 do you mean an EHCP? If so, can you send that? Having one demonstrates a certain level of need. Have you applied for a Family Fund grant? You can have one to buy sensory toys. Caudwell children, Variety and Newlife may also be able to help with sensory toys.

Alk19 · 02/12/2021 09:57

@Imitatingdory family fund are great the wait is long but I got mine recently they gave me a £300 gift card for learning space x
