Fantastic @Tallgirlsrock and lovely that your partner takes an interest. Mine seldom does though he was impressed with the goodies in the SOW basket!

husband not doing well and off work, so its kind of ruined the sw syns thing for me as I am running around even more busy and snacky, I find it even harder now, I do make the effort to eat healthy meals, just need stop the snacking, We have moved to online membership for the time being. Have not weighed in for a wee while...

TomWambsgansSwans · 14/09/2024 12:37

@NOTSUREWHATIMDOINHERE it's so hard when your partner isn't also following the plan if you're eating meals together!

My DH used to 'sabotage' by cooking things like stir fry and then putting a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of olive oil in, and drizzling another tablespoon of sesame oil over the top, so even though it was veg-heavy it was over on syns. Then when I got irritated he was baffled and annoyed. Luckily he did come to SW with me so gets it now although he needs a refresher sometimes and what is and isn't speed!

-0.5lbs off those week, so I'm 9st 10.5lbs and have 11.5lbs to go to target.

TomWambsgansSwans · 28/09/2024 08:43

I lost -1.5lbs this week.

I made myself soup and have had that with Ryvita and melted cheese for lunches which has been lovely!

How are you all getting on?

Wilma55 · 30/09/2024 15:27

I'm back from holiday @TomWambsgansSwans well done on your loss! I've got a hacking cough and feel awful. Ate and drank loads but think I only put on about a pound. Should WI tomorrow but booked another holiday week as feel yuk.

Having a cold and the rubbish weather is not helping my motivation!

I did make some potato, onion and garlic soup for lunch which was tasty and filling.

I've had a disastrous 2 weeks but went back last night to weigh, draw a line in the sand and move on. I won the raffle and got the soup cookbook as a prize. I'm really looking forward to making some of these. When I'm in the office I've been eating salad for lunch, it's definitely soup weather now though!

Wilma55 · 09/10/2024 18:50

Just about recovering now and weighed in on Tuesday, put on 2.5 lb. Need to knuckle down now. Away a couple of days this week and cant seem to shake off my swert tooth. On the other hand my cough and cold has put me right off red wine! How's everyone else getting on?

Hello!
I rejoined on Monday the 7th. I did SW in 2014 and lost 2.5st I think?
anyway ive rejoined multiple times since then and never got back to the weight loss from them. Since 2014, there has been marriage, 2 kids, 2 house moves, job changes, covid etc etc
So, I bit the bullet and joined on Monday, but may swap to a saturday in a few weeks due to work and stuff. Hoping to jump into this thread for motivation and SW chat!
been good all week so far, being mindful and remembered why I loved this so much in 2014.
Paprika Pork from the website is tonights tea.
has anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend or any nice meals planned they want to share? 😊

Wilma55 · 14/10/2024 17:52

Are you weighing in today @ListenLinda, how is it going? Trying a new recipe tonight Black pepper beef from Bored of lunch, 421 calories, havent worked out the syns.

Nor been really on plan since WI last Tuesday so will see what the scales say tomorrow!

OP posts:
ListenLinda · 14/10/2024 22:08

Yep, first weigh in tonight. Lost 1lbz
bit confusing and disappointing as was on track all week, definately ate less i.e mindless snacks etc and no alcohol. Odd.
i’m going to keep on and hope that it catchs up next week!

TomWambsgansSwans · 19/10/2024 20:09

Welcome @ListenLinda!

Annoying I put +1lb on this week. I'm less than a stone to target but keep slacking 😬

Wilma55 · 22/10/2024 16:17

Another half a pound on 😔 Started filling in my app planner as soon as I got home.

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 22/10/2024 21:13

@Wilma55 oh that's annoying!

I did my planner on Sunday, I'm going to try my hardest to stick to plan this week!

Wilma55 · 23/10/2024 11:50

Wete not doing very well are we!

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 26/10/2024 08:25

I lost -1.5lbs this week - I'm pleased with that.

I'm listening to an audiobook called Brain Over Binge about reducing binge-eating too which I do have a tendency towards.

I'm now 12lbs to target and am 9st 11lbs.

ListenLinda · 26/10/2024 12:58

Weighed in with a 4.5lb loss today. So I think the scales definately caught up from last week! Maybe the saturday morning weigh in too, but i’ll take it.

just got back from running around the kids activities, sitting down with a slimming world chip butty to watch Leeds United before getting ready to take the kids to a halloween party tonight!

TomWambsgansSwans · 26/10/2024 17:33

@ListenLinda that's awesome, well done! The scales don't always recognise effort/straying for me - some weeks I get away with it, other weeks I feel hard done by!

It all evens out in the end imo!

Wilma55 · 02/11/2024 10:52

Couldn't get to my normal Tuesday meeting this week so weighed in this morning. 2lb off, happy with that.

Have a good weekend everyone.

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 10/11/2024 18:37

Well done @Wilma55!

Another slow and steady -1lb for me - I am now 9st10 and have 11lbs to target.

Wilma55 · 12/11/2024 16:49

Well done @TomWambsgansSwans I'm usually a pound a week person. Amazingly another 1.5 off this week, I was all ready with my excuses! 4 above target now.

We chose our "icon" today and had a taster session. The tiramisu was very popular though I didn't try any. Will have to look up the recipe.

How's everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 13/11/2024 22:12

Thank you @Wilma55!

I'd be intrigued to try a SW tiramisu!

Wilma55 · 14/11/2024 18:18

Probably quark!

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 16/11/2024 15:11

@Wilma55 definitely! The SW mainstay!

A maintain for me this week, so I am still 9st 10lb with 11lbs to target.

Wilma55 · 19/11/2024 13:16

Bit disappointed with half a pound off this morning, still need another half to get to top of my target range.

3 more weigh ins before my holiday!

OP posts:
Wherearetherabbitsgone · 22/11/2024 06:45

It took me 4 months to get my second stone off but I am there. Still another 3 and a half stone to go. It could take another year but I am seeing the health benefit already.
