Some good losses here, well done.

Today I've had cereal B, milk A, banana, 2 hifi bars (6) and, hangs head in shame, a quarter of a large pork pie which needed using up, syns ?

Tonight it's salmon, new pots and free veg.

Tomorrow is another day.....

I rejoined group a few weeks ago and I've lost bugger all, I've been really struggling to get my head around it all this time.

Just done a meal plan for evening meals next week which I hope will help but I think my biggest thing is I need more support and to focus more on losing weight so thought I would jump on here and say hi 👋

catslaveslim · 18/06/2024 21:45

Can I join too please?

Rejoined a few weeks ago and really trying to get my head in the game

SW 15st 13
CW 15st 11.5
TW 13st

LeftyLou · 19/06/2024 22:23

Welcome everyone that's joining ☺️

Hope everyone is doing alright. Another 1.5 off for me this week. Really happy with that. Got half to go for half a stone award. Wanted it this week but can't complain when I've lost 6.5 in two weeks.

But will aim for it next week. Will make a more detailed post about my week a bit later.

Sending best wishes for everyone for the week ahead.

RedPony1 · 20/06/2024 09:48

Welcome @catslaveslim & @newnametodayz , you've got this!

Well done @LeftyLou !

Weigh in number 3 last night, another 1lb lighter! Aiming for half stone award next week

catslaveslim · 20/06/2024 20:07

Nice work @RedPony1

Day two of taking it seriously for me and so far 100% on plan and got my hex b and 14 syns still to go

I really struggle with the hex b, dont really eat breakfast so end up with hifi bars or alpen bars and they are not my fav every day so if anyone has any ideas on that front it would be awesome!

Wilma55 · 20/06/2024 20:12

How about nuts or fruit? Fruit can be dried, cooked or canned. There's a few ideas on the app for HexBs

Good luck for the weekend everyone, always the worst for me

Wilma55 · 21/06/2024 20:40

Oh yes wall to wall barbecues this weekend which could be ok....but could also lead to too much alcohol!

OP posts:
RedPony1 · 24/06/2024 11:28

How was everybody's weekend??

i didn't stop all day Saturday, so didn't actually eat until the eve when we had a BBQ! I had one normal burger in a white roll, but the rest was salad, chicken, pork. Not great but also could have been worse. I definitely did not drink enough Saturday.

Sunday - didn't stop all day again, ate 2 hifi bars, a grab and go chicken kebab thing from One Stop which i think was 2.5 syns. Then nothing until 9pm where i had a KFC rice salad. Again, not great, but actually, both days were probably a calorie deficit of some kind. Did not drink enough though.

i hate weekends with food, i'm so busy. But i am NOT going to prepping food to carry around with me, so i'll just have to be extra good Mon - Fri to counteract it.

Wilma55 · 28/06/2024 17:35

Wl done Redpony, you sound like you did a good job under the circumstances.

Another weekend is upon us and I've not had a good week. Just eaten 3 chocolate digestives and a club biscuit. Got a bbq tomorrow and visiting family on Sunday so likely to be another bbq.

Need to get back to group and weigh in on Tuesfay and face the scales!

Cinnamonandclove · 29/06/2024 18:48

Could I join please?

Not had that much success with SW to date - lost nothing after 3 weeks! Reading some of these posts I think I'm eating too much (but within the rules) which might explain why I'm not losing.

Yesterday I had -
Weetabix, (Hex B) almond milk and fruit
Cous cous with grilled veg and feta (HexA)
Hifi bar, nectarine
Jacket potato with tuna and veg, low fat yoghurt with fruit

Am I getting it wrong and having too much?

TomWambsgansSwans · 30/06/2024 17:34

@Cinnamonandclove it doesn't sound like you're eating too much but there are a lot of carbs in there. If I stay within syns but eat too many carbs I don't lose.

Could you swap either the couscous or jacket potato for protein? Are you a veggie?

Wilma55 · 01/07/2024 06:36

Welcome @Cinnamonandclove , do you go to a group? If so you should show the consultant what you've been eating. Have you been having enough speed food?

OP posts:
Cinnamonandclove · 01/07/2024 16:45

It's true I have a lot of carbs. I'm pescatarian so it is a little harder for me to find protein options. I could swap a jacket potato for an omelette though. I will give more protein a try.

I think I'm getting enough speed food - most of the fruit and veg I have is speed. Not going to the groups - tried them a few years ago and decided they weren't really for me.

Wilma55 · 02/07/2024 10:08

@Cinnamonandclove you could try weighing your carbs to check you're portion size and maybe count calories for a few days to get an idea of calorie count - not what SW is about I know but it's easy to have an enormous jacket potato rather than say 200gr. I know on WW they said it should be fist size!

Been for WI this morning in lightest possible clothes and just scraped into target bubble. Weirdly scales fluctuated by 1.5 lb while standing on them and settled on the highest weight (of course).

OP posts:
RedPony1 · 02/07/2024 14:24

I got my half stone award last week, on week 4!

Good one Wilma! it always settles on the highest number haha

It was my birthday weekend just gone, i was away camping Fri - Mon and ate whatever i wanted. but i planned for this and i am fully accepting a gain on the scales on Weds. But i am back on plan today so hopefully not too much of a gain overall.

Wilma55 · 04/07/2024 15:33

Well done @RedPony1 that's a good loss. How did it go yesterday?

OP posts:
Wherearetherabbitsgone · 05/07/2024 10:52

Hi everyone, first time to this thread. I re-joined SW this week as it's the only thing I know that actually works for me. I lost 3st in 4 months about 8 years ago. Had baby no 2 5 years ago, followed by PND, a very stressful few years and am now my heaviest ever weight. I felt ashamed when I stepped on the scales on Wednesday and am determined to lose a lot of weight.

Wilma55 · 05/07/2024 11:12

Welcome @Wherearetherabbitsgone you have made a massive step in the right direction by rejoining. You know how to do it so good luck. Don't feel ashamed, we are all at SW for the same reason.

TomWambsgansSwans · 06/07/2024 22:53

Welcome @Wherearetherabbitsgone!

I lost -3lbs this week which I was really pleased with, particularly as I was working away so it was tough. I struggle with stress and am a comfort eater but I am very keen to keep it going now having had a bumpy few weeks!

The big things have been trying to stick to mealtime eating only, but I do keep craving chocolate which is hard!
