Well done @Tallgirlsrock and good luck at weigh in @NOTSUREWHATIMDOINHERE . How is your partner doing?

I went back to group for WI this morning after a gap of 7 weeks. Have put on 3lbs so am now 6 over target. Away next week camping so booked a holiday. Need to take control and start recording my food again.

Husband doing well on it, thank you. I had a wisdom tooth out yesterday, so been eating mashed potato with little gravy or pasta and 0% yogurt lol

Enjoy the camping trip sounds fun.

Wherearetherabbitsgone · 22/08/2024 22:09

I lost 2 and a half pounds this week which I am really happy with after a coulple of slow weeks. That's 1st 5lb off in 7 weeks.

NOTSUREWHATIMDOINHERE · 22/08/2024 22:56

1st week. I lost 4lb. DH lost 5lb. Very happy with that.

That's brilliant well done 👏

Stayed the same at Tuesday's WI, so still need half a pound for 1.5st award. Trying extra hard this week, especially as have an event on Sunday and a day out on Monday.

TomWambsgansSwans · 24/08/2024 16:45

I lost -1.5lb this week taking me to 9st 13 and to 1 stone to go to target!

I'm delighted with my loss as I've tried really hard this week.

Wherearetherabbitsgone · 28/08/2024 21:20

Hope everyone is getting on OK this week.

I have lost another pound. Happy with this considering I ate 2 burgers on Sunday!

TomWambsgansSwans · 29/08/2024 19:55

@Wherearetherabbitsgone well done!

I think I've had a good week too - not sure whether to weigh in tomorrow or Saturday...

Wilma55 · 30/08/2024 19:00

I've been camping and seemed to live on sausages (not low fat!) For a change on our last night we had fish and chips and, no, I did not remove the batter! Had a fab time with granddaughter so any weight gain on Tuesday will be worth it.

Well done to all of you for your losses.

2lb off for me and got 1.5 stone award. Well chuffed, but unplanned days out this week may well result in a gain on Tuesday. But life happens and while we want to lose every week, it's not always possible... We have to live and life happens.

Well done everyone who has lost this week, and if like me, you have enjoyed your week, draw a line under it and start again.

Remember, we are all amazing xx

TomWambsgansSwans · 31/08/2024 09:40

Well done @Tallgirlsrock!

Maintain for me this week so I'm still a straight stone to go to target (currently 9st13).

Your week sounds lovely @Wilma55!

Wilma55 · 03/09/2024 18:15

WI today and was the same as 2 weeks ago, before holiday so not too bad.

Am trying 16:8 with SW this week, basically skipping breakfast which I know goes against the rules. Will see how it goes.

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 03/09/2024 21:29

@Wilma55 I skip the odd meal too if I'm working late and think I can get away with it. Overall I think I'm going in the right direction even though it's not in the 'rules'.

Ultimately it feels more like a weight loss tactic in the way that, for me, eating some of the SW hacks feel like a cul-de-sac as it takes away from the goals.

Wilma55 · 04/09/2024 21:42

@NOTSUREWHATIMDOINHERE did you weigh in? How's it going?

OP posts:
Wherearetherabbitsgone · 05/09/2024 13:42

Well done everyone! I lost a pound so down 1 and a half stone overall. It was good to get that sticker, felt like it took ages to get there. Another 4 stone to go 🙈

Wilma55 · 06/09/2024 08:00

Great news @Wherearetherabbitsgone getting the sticker makes it all worthwhile. How long did it take?

Thanks. It took me 3 weeks to lose the first stone, then another 6 weeks after that to lose the half stone. It feels really slow but I'm going to really stick at it.

TomWambsgansSwans · 07/09/2024 10:45

I lost -2lbs this week and was unexpectedly slimmer of the week!

Current weight is 9st 11lbs and I now have 12 lbs to target. I hope to be there by Christmas.

I am really pleased to have had a decent loss as it's been a few months of not very much weight loss or losing then gaining, so I'm hoping this is the ship changing direction a bit!

Well done, that's an excellent loss! I know what you mean, it's like a really long slow journey but it's worth it when you look back at the total loss and see all the weeks small losses adding up.

TomWambsgansSwans · 07/09/2024 20:16

Thank you! I'm determined to make it to target this time!

Fillyfrog · 09/09/2024 18:48

I joined SW last week and first weigh in this weds. I'm dreading it! I've found it hard when going out and about, for example when going shopping with my daughter at the Trafford centre, spent absolutely ages googling the syns of everything in the food court 🙈

Just had one of the Iceland slimming world chicken balti biryanis for my tea at work and it was surprisingly okay. Will be good for work days 😊

TomWambsgansSwans · 09/09/2024 20:19

@Fillyfrog welcome!

When I'm at the Trafford Centre I usually go for Spud-u-Like with cheese and beans if I'm being good or sushi. There is a fast food section in the butterfly book which shows good options.

Nando's is also good (but I don't think there is one at the Trafford centre) but butterfly chicken, sweetcorn and salad is 2 syns I think.

Wilma55 · 10/09/2024 10:48

We seem to be doing well at the moment.

Went to WI today, 1.5 off and amazingly Slimmer of the Week! 1.5 to go to get back in target range.

So skipping breakfast Mon-Fri seems to be helping - not that I'm advocating it.

OP posts:
TomWambsgansSwans · 10/09/2024 17:40

Well done for being SOTW @Wilma55! Yeah I think with food optimising you can skip a few meals and still be healthy - after all my skinny friends often do this.

SW would never advocate it but my experience (from being a target member before) was that I couldn't get there without cutting down my carbs even if I had all my syns every day - I'm quite short and am quite sensitive to carbs. I can't eat things like pasta as a free food and lose, even if I have a third speed on the plate. That's ok for me overall.

Tallgirlsrock · 11/09/2024 00:24

Well done @Wilma55
I weigh on a Tuesday and to my shock, had lost 3.5lb! I was hoping for a loss, but never imagine it would be so much! Anyway, got home, DH says how did you get on, told him. Obviously he was impressed, but goes on to ask how much I have lost now. I had to go and get my book, which showed I'm actually 3lb off 2 stone. That has impressed me as got my 1.5st award, not last week but the week before.
