Hi, maintaining is so hard! I lost my holiday wright but weighed in +1 this week and I know the bad habits are creeping back in.....biscuits, wine, an extra slice of bread, not weighing cereal..

Good luck for the final 10lb @Ralphiesaurus.

Hi all, would it be okay if I joined back in 😊

I have had an absolute nightmare time of it. Been going to group doing it half heartedly and putting weight on. Then more weight. So many times I have done this over the course of the last 2 years.

I then decided to take a step back and leave just to get my head back in it. I am officially starting back next Wednesday so will be my new starting weight then.

I am apart of some other threads on here where I have said I have been weighing daily just to get an idea of fluctuations.

I am looking forward to getting back on it and been happier and healthier. Going on holiday in October and want to have lost at least 2 stone by then which I think is doable. Although I am not going to put too much pressure on myself.

Now going to have a read through the thread 😁

Wilma55 · 02/06/2024 14:17

Welcome back @LeftyLou it's been very quiet on here. Hopefully having a holiday to aim for will help - it does for me. Let us know how you get on.

Been away on holiday for 2 weeks, been active though so I'm hoping the damage isn't too bad! Starting a new job Wednesday where snacking isn't going to be possible, snacking is a weakness, so think that's going to help.

Ralphiesaurus · 02/06/2024 18:18

Thanks for the good luck, @Wilma55

Welcome back, @LeftyLou I know what you mean about needing to get your head back in it. I'm glad to have been maintaining (ish) but need to focus again...

Good luck, @Testarossa44 - if there's any gain just put it down to an enjoyable holiday and look forward if you can...

I'm back at group properly tomorrow eve for the first time in ages (ie staying to group after weigh in). I hope it gets my brain back in gear!

ThatAgileGoldMoose · 05/06/2024 22:25

Hello, mind if I join you?

I have about 10 stone to lose. After messing about for the last year I am starting afresh.

I made the broad bean amd courgette fritters that were in the latest book tonight. They're pretty nice.

LeftyLou · 06/06/2024 14:25

Thankyou for the warm welcome 😊
And hello @ThatAgileGoldMoose 😊

So got weighed yesterday and back as a new member so a brand new start weight.

5'1

SW: 15 stone. 5
TW: 8 stone 10 (subject to change)
Interim Target 1: 13 stone 7.5 which will also be my club10

I am starting of on a very good start. Made a meal plan for the week and got my syns for each day planned too.

I bought a 12 week countdown and got the new out and about book with it. Some really good stuff in there!

Hope everyone has had and does have a good week ☺️

Wilma55 · 11/06/2024 17:30

Nice to see some new and returning names on here but it's still very quiet.

I am going from bad to worse, almost in self sabotage with cakes, biscuits, snacks and cheese. Missed weigh in today as think I've gone over target 3lb allowance - the very time I need to go.

Can't blame it all the enormous slice of cake 🎂 at Harlech Castle and the fish and chips in Pwllheli!

LeftyLou · 11/06/2024 22:27

Sorry your having a difficult time getting back on plan @Wilma55@Wilma55

Do you think maybe having some extra but tracked syns on some days might help? To give you a bit more freedom.

Be kind to yourself though. You've worked really hard to get to where you are and that means a lot more than a week or two of been of track.

I am weighing in tomorrow. The last time I joined I lost 4.5 on my first week. Anything really will do me just as long as it a loss.

Some of my meals this week have been

Berry burst smoothie bowl
Granola with yogurt and berries
Turkey rasher sandwich
Sweet chilli prawns
Tuna jacket
Tuna sandwich
Diet fanta chicken
Meatballs and spaghetti

Alpen light bars
Meringue
Hifibars
Mini twister ice lollies
Kitkat

Hoping to post in tomorrow with some good news.

LeftyLou · 11/06/2024 22:30

Also sorry for tagging you twice. I am on my phone and it won't let me delete one of them 🙄

Wilma55 · 12/06/2024 07:50

Ha ha @LeftyLou and thanks for the sympathy and suggestions. Good luck with weigh in.

Feeling more positive today and will start tracking again in my planner book and/or the app.

We're you around on the old threads @LeftyLou with Blondeshavemorefun etc where we used to post our daily meals? I found that helpful.

8 years ago i lost 4.5st and kept it off, until Covid.

Now i need to lose it again....

First weigh in last week -3lb

Finding it ok, feels empowering to say no to sweet treats in the office!

Flyrightby · 12/06/2024 21:26

Hi!

I think I was on this thread before under a different name.

I've started again this week so is it OK if I re follow the thread?

I started on Jan 1st weighing 12st9 (I'm 5"4)

Lost half a stone in Jan and then became really ill for 2 months and I've been enjoying my food ever since!

I'm now 12st5lb and initially looking to lose a few pounds in the next 2 weeks and then see how I go after that. I'd like to be around 10.5/11 stone eventually.

Wilma55 · 12/06/2024 22:30

Welcome @RedPony1 and @Flyrightby all welcome here, be good to have more contributers.
Well done on the loss RedPony and good luck Flyrightby.

Weigh in last night, another -2lb gone

I'm feeling ok, got a camping trip at the end of the month but that will include a lot of walking too, I'll try to only cook lean meats

Thanks @Wilma55 😃 and good luck on your new journey @Flyrightby

BackWednesdays · 13/06/2024 13:50

I lost a Lb this morning. Now a Lb and a half off target. Ordered a veg fruit box on line with fish too - motivating for heathy cooking

RedPony1 · 13/06/2024 13:54

1.5 from target is amazing - well done!!

LeftyLou · 13/06/2024 15:02

Some really great losses this week 😃

Yes I was @Wilma55 I really enjoyed those threads too. I'll be happy to post my meals on here. If it helps give some ideas. I know it helps me to see what others are having.

I lost 5 this week taking me to 14 Stone 9.5

I have an app that tells me how long is predicted to my first target and it is saying 5th July. Which I will be over the moon with if I reach it. Obviously that is just over a month away and I don't expect to get such big losses all the time but it is good to have the focus.

My aim this week is 2 lbs to hopefully get my half a stone award. This will be my third one 😅 but third time lucky in keeping it and keeping it off!

I made the strawberry and melon sundae from the new book which was so nice, this morning. Will deffo make it again and squash really goes nicely mixed with the fruit and yogurt.

I also made the green garden soup. It was again nice but looked nothing like the photo in the book. I also added a bit of ceyenne pepper only a quarter of a teaspoon and had to put lots of yogurt in it. I only wanted to add a bit more flavour and ended up burning my mouth off instead.

BackWednesdays · 13/06/2024 18:44

what's in the green soup?

LeftyLou · 14/06/2024 18:12

The recipe as is in the book serving 4 people

6 celery sticks
1 red onion
Onion salt or celery salt
500g potatoes
2 courgettes
1.2 L vegetable stock
Small bag of spinach and/or watercress
Fresh parsley

TomWambsgansSwans · 14/06/2024 20:09

Well done all on your losses, and @Wilma55 sorry you're finding it hard (me too). I put 3.5lbs on during a two week holiday to the South of France. Last time I went on that same holiday I ended up putting on 7.5lbs so at least that is slightly better!

I'm a bit low energy these last few weeks and that always makes me crave sugar. I wonder if it's menopause or stress.

Weigh in tomorrow...

TomWambsgansSwans · 14/06/2024 20:13

My daily meals today:
B spinach, pepperoni and egg muffins
L Ryvita (hex b) with cheese (hex A) and an apple
D salmon with greens and a bit of oil
Syns - ginger shot

Actually a really good day, they are definitely not all like this!

BigFatSoberLife · 15/06/2024 10:04

Hello

Can I join please?

I've signed up online as don't like the groups.

5'8"

SW: 15 stone 12 lbs
TW: 11 stone 7 lbs

TomWambsgansSwans · 15/06/2024 15:08

@BigFatSoberLife welcome! Jump straight in.

I weighed in today and have lost -2lbs. I'm trying AGAIN to give up sugar or at least massively reduce, and that always helps my goals.

RedPony1 · 17/06/2024 15:46

Welcome @BigFatSoberLife 🤗

Well done @TomWambsgansSwans !! That's really good. I know i couldn't give up sugar completely, so kudos to you trying!

I went out for food at the weekend, couldn't pick the venue so just had to make the best choices i could which wasn't great (beef brisket rice balls for starter and burrito for main with salad no chips)
