*just realised I posted this on the old thread...

Can I (re) join?? Started SW again 6 weeks ago and I've lost 10.5lbs. Completely fell off the wagon last week and skipped weigh in (I know I should have still gone...) Been on plan this week so hoping I've pulled it back- I weigh again tomorrow

B: Porridge (HexB) with skimmed milk (HexA) and blueberries
L: Chicken and pasta salad (2 syns for olive oil) twiglets (4) Skinny whip bar (3)
D: Planning a syn free beef casserole with winter veg pack

AmISpeakingAnotherLanguage · 09/06/2022 11:11

Can I join in? Started on Monday.

Meals have been pretty much as follows:

B: Berries, Yogurt, bit of honey (0.5)
L: Egg, beans, potato cake thing made in the airfryer and fruit
D: Chicken and a vegetable sauce, Chicken Curry and pops, Pasta with vegetable sauce and cheese, and tonight is Burger and wedges.

I tend to use my B with hifi bars, and my As 1 with milk in tea, and cheese. I've heard those Alpo chocolate almond/soya milk count as an A which I quite like the idea of.

LeftyLou · 10/06/2022 16:18

Thanks @LeftyLou - i love that you have sw roasties for a snack! i might try that!

How was everyone's weekend?

I was a little dodgy over the weekend, I was more mindful, but daren't even think of syns. First official weigh in tomorrow so trying to be back on track today. Thinking it will go like:

B: Melon, strawberries and blueberries
L: Egg, beans, cheese toasted wholemeal sandwich thin (A+B), cucumber, and carrot sticks, followed by a satsuma
D: Roast chicken with a tikka rub, and cauli, potatoes, and greens - thinking it's probably about 3 syns for the rub etc.

Syns may be some crisps with my sandwich, and a gin tonight.

Nodancingshoes · 13/06/2022 11:00

So bad week last week cos my slimming world group has closed so I took that as an opportunity to eat like a pig...Went to a different group on Sat and had put 2 pounds on. Not going to that group again - didn't like it at all so gonna have to go it alone.

YESTERDAY
B: Nothing - trying 16:8 fasting alongside SW
L: Pasta, chicken, sweetcorn, fat free Greek yoga sauce, twiglets (4.5) Alpen light (heb)
D: Syn free beef casserole, roast potatoes made with fry light, green beans, sprouts, carrots. Alpen light (heb)
Only had 1 hea (milk) in coffee/tea cos I've run out of babybels

Went on 2 walks to up the steps

I cant tell the difference at all from the stone (ish) I've now lost which makes motivation hard 😫

Nodancingshoes · 13/06/2022 11:22

TODAY
B: coffee
L: Pasta salad and chicken, banana/strawberries with fat free greek yog, twiglets (4.5)
D: Planning a roast chicken with homemade chips. Syns for ketchup

AmISpeakingAnotherLanguage · 14/06/2022 12:19

Hi @Nodancingshoes - I'm going it alone too, so here to support if you need to! Can I have the recpie for your son free casserole please?!!

Weigh in today - been doing it officially a week - and I've lost 2.5lbs. I'm quite pleased because while I was good good during the week, the weekend was very boozy and not at all on plan. But now I'm scared 'what if I don't lose next week?!'

BUT I will power on! Today...

B: Nothing, ran out of time.
L: Potato Cake, Veg, and Egg
D: Burger (0.5 Aldi 5% burgers) cheese (A), syn free chips, greens. No bum
S: HiFis (Bs) and Fruit.

Will probably have a shandy and a gin and tonic later too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2022 08:26

Well done on 2.5lbs loss

I’m bumming the week and will start again fri

LeftyLou · 15/06/2022 21:44

@Nodancingshoes there are quite a few who don't go to group on here but the support is just as good 😊

I am very lucky I love my group so I get the best of both worlds.

I also felt like that when I started 2 months ago. I had a 4lb loss in my first week then maintained the second. Now I'm 13lbs down! Just keep at it, some weeks will be better than others and it's normal to have a gain. Just enjoy what your eating and be good when you can! It's worth it, trust me!

AmISpeakingAnotherLanguage · 16/06/2022 10:26

@Blondeshavemorefun it's hard to get back on after a fun time is't it?

@starsstars123 thank you! That's so reassuring to hear! I will keep going! I'm trying not to weigh myself each day which is a bit silly I know, but addictive!

Yesterday I ended up off plan, but it could have been worse.

B: Melon and Strawberries
L: Potato cake, egg, beans, satsuma
D: Pasta Alla Norma. Then it went wrong Garlic Bread with pesto and cheese (not half like normal though!) gui pudding, and a fair bit of wine and some crisps.

Back on today though, just had a bowl of strawberries!

Yeah I still do that too! I think it's hard not to when the scales are just there!

You soon get into a routine of what your eating, I love eating fruit and fat free yoghurt for my breakfast then have cereal a little bit later as a snack if im still hungry as I find the fruit fills you up so much more!

Have you got the app? It's really good for scanning syns etc to keep on top of it, then if you know you've got low syn snacks in you can reach to them. I love twisters, quavers, and small packets of party rings and they are all about 4 syns each. Jelly pots are amazing too basically 0.5 a syn and find them so refreshing

I don't, I've failed so SO many times that I am trying from my old book and google!

But I think that's a really good idea, I'm trying really hard to eat a lot more fruit and veg as snacks, and also drinking a lot more water when I think I'm hungry. I'm using my HEXB for hifi bars which help as well.

When you say twisters, do you mean twister lollies?

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2022 12:58

New to this for 2022 (but sadly not Slimming world, Weight Watchers, Keto, Cabbage Soup, Cambridge etc..😕)

Weighing tomorrow for first time as joined a Sat am group last week 🤞

Have found it all quite easy and satisfying, and definitely feel lighter and less bloated (have also noticed I haven't had a headache or migraine since starting, so I definitely think my problem is sugar or hormones!)

I'll post for yesterday as haven't eaten yet:

No breakfast (I do 16:8, so drink black coffee all morning)

Lunch: Rice salad (brown rice, peppers, mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn, black eye beans).

Snacks throughout day: Seafood sticks x 6, strawberries, nectarine, 2 x slices cooked chicken roll with cucumber sticks

Dinner: Spaghetti Bolognese (wholewheat spaghetti, 5% mince, puy lentils, carrots, celery, onions, peppers, mushrooms)

HEX A: 250 ml ss milk for tea and 30g cheese with Bolognese

HEX B: 2 x Hifi bars
