Morning everyone! I weighed myself today after a week back on plan and I have lost 4 3/4 lb! I nearly cried. It’s been so long since anything I did shifted any weight and I’d started to think nothing would ever work.

Today’s menu:

B: fruit salad (papaya passion fruit blueberries mango), 2 boiled eggs, slice wholemeal toast HEXB

L: (if I can be arsed as it’s a faff) Slimming Eats Pasta shells stuffed with spinach and ricotta on bed of tomato sauce. HEXA

S: apple grapes and 2x Nairn’s ginger oat biscuits (4 Syns)

D: leftover roast beef made into syn-free spag bol, Parmesan HEXA

Hope everyone has a lovely day. xx

Conniebanana · 02/05/2022 09:46

@DelurkingLawyer that sounds lovely
I needed inspiration like this.
Had pizza and then chocolate when home. Mindless eating so need to rein it in today

Thank you @Conniebanana - of course as I am only just back on it I am full of evangelical fervour. I’ll be the one needing a kick up the backside in 4 weeks. I realised when thinking about it all that that’s when I’ve fallen off the wagon every time in the last few years, whatever plan I’ve been doing.

Had my first weigh in today! 4.5 pounds off. A bit disappointed but it’s better than nothing. Feeling more focused for next week.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 04/05/2022 11:18

@RibNSaucyArseCrack is that in a week? I think that's amazing? I thought I was doing well losing 5 pounds in 3 months 🤔

Haven't been on here for a few days, busy times.

Yesterday....

B....bagel thin hex b with 2.5. syns of cashew butter and sliced banana. This is a really filling and tasty breakfast.

L....low sugar tomato soup. 2.5 syns. Apple and 2 tangerines.

D.... lasagne and brocolli. Made lasagne mix in slow cooker in the day then layered it and dinner time. For the topping I use the pinch of nom method of fat free yogurt and 2 eggs and a bit of mustard. So all free.

Treat....Muller chocolate pot 5 syns.

Today....

B.... mini shredded wheat, warm milk, blueberries. Banana

L...have made tuna pasta salad with this tuna Tin thing from Lidl I've never tried it before. Mexican tuna it's called. 5 syns but sharing with DH. Mixed it with cold pasta shapes, spinach, rocket etc.

D... having pork mince tacos but I'll have my taco mix with rice. 1 syn for taco seasoning, 1 syn for microwave rice.

Bit annoyed by app access has run out as I stopped going to group even though I've paid until.mid June. Going to ring them today

RibNSaucyArseCrack · 04/05/2022 11:24

@Plantsandpuddlesuits yes just this week. I think it’s because everyone was like ,” oh you’ll probably lose about 10pounds on your first week!”

and to be fair I did drink lots of cocktails on Saturday. I’m going to be more disciplined this week and do more exercise.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 04/05/2022 11:29

This is what put me off group. I lost 1.5 pounds my first week and was delighted with that and my consultant said in front of everyone that it was a low loss and disappointing

LeftyLou · 04/05/2022 11:29

That's a fantastic loss @RibNSaucyArseCrack.

That is annoying about the app @Plantsandpuddlesuits

RibNSaucyArseCrack · 04/05/2022 11:32

@Plantsandpuddlesuits that’s so mean! I have to say, my consultant is a total babe. She’s so lovely and supportive.
@LeftyLou Thankyou 😀

JingleAndTonic · 04/05/2022 11:40

@RibNSaucyArseCrack I felt the same as you when I first started after seeing people on Instagram with big 10lb+ losses meanwhile I lost 4lbs in week one but that's actually a fab loss! Don't be disheartened.

L - bacon and egg sandwich (HEB, 2 syns for a small scrape of butter and tomato sauce)

T - cajun beef goulash (HEA)

S - fruit, skinny bar (4.5)

DelurkingLawyer · 04/05/2022 11:56

Fantastic loss @RibNSaucyArseCrack !!

RibNSaucyArseCrack · 04/05/2022 14:33

I think just because I have such a long way to go, 4 pounds seems like nothing. My husbands just bought me 4.5 pounds of flour to hold though which is made me feel loads better. It’s quite heavy isn’t it!

JingleAndTonic · 05/05/2022 09:43

@RibNSaucyArseCrack yes it's lots! 1lb a week would see you almost 4 stone off in a year which is loads when you look at it that way.

L - chicken and cheese sandwich (HEA, HEB, 1 syn mayo) with crisps (5)

T - chicken fried rice and mayflower curry sauce (4 syns)

S - fruit and a skinny bar (4.5)

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2022 10:13

I’m up and down again. Lost the mojo. Which is silly as I know when I stick to of I lose weight. Usually a lb A week but that’s 4s in a year

OP posts:
JingleAndTonic · 06/05/2022 10:08

happens to us all sometimes @Blondeshavemorefun the plan is there when you're ready for it!

so annoyed, lost just short of 1lb this week which is great but if it had been the whole pound it would've put me into the next stone bracket Angry never mind, next week hopefully!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2022 10:30

Sts. Grateful for that

OP posts:
LeftyLou · 06/05/2022 10:56

Yesterday I made myself some beetroot and carrot soup and oh my God it was awful! Could not eat it. So I had a cheese sandwich instead. This cost me 7 syns because I for some reason forgot I had overnight oats for my breakfast. 🤦‍♀️😂

You'll see the next stone down next week for sure @JingleAndTonic 😊 and glad you're happy with maintain @Blondeshavemorefun 😊

DelurkingLawyer · 06/05/2022 12:53

Been an up and down couple of days as my pet rabbit was at the vet and had to have an operation. But she is better and I also didn’t go completely mad, which I regard as progress. Also have now been back on plan for 2 days.

B: fruit salad

L: Slimming Eats chicken, fennel and orzo casserole (free and super easy - from the book not on the website)

D: prawn stir fry

S: 2 x HEXA cheeses and apple/grapes, plus HEXB ryvita
