All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Glad you were able to find us again @Wilma55 🙂 I agree too love this thread. Hope you had a lovely birthday also.

@LightandAiry the diary covers October to January.

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants sorry about your last weigh in. I agree some weeks do feel easier than others.

I have started walking again. I really enjoy it once I am out. So I am going to make that a goal for me to get out rain or shine. Today I ended up doing 26,000 steps. My feet kill!

How was the chocolate pavlova? That sounds incredible and right up my street.

Dahliasrule · 13/10/2022 09:20

Hi all, had my first weigh in on Tuesday and thrilled to have lost 3.5 lbs. I wasn’t sure I would as although I have stuck to the plan, I have been less than active suffering from post Covid dizziness. Feeling really motivated and brought out the soup maker from where it has been languishing.
Hope you all have a good week,

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2022 10:23

Well done @Dahliasrule

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 13/10/2022 11:05

Well done @Dahliasrule , that's a good result. @LeftyLou thanks. I need to walk more too. I know I'll feel better if I do. We have a lovely park nearby, that's just the right distance, and I can take my flask, so...
Lost the gain from last week, so feel a bit more inspired now.

How is everyone?

Dahliasrule · 13/10/2022 13:20

Thank you, Blondeshavemorefun. Wow, That was a lot of steps. Keep it up.
thank you, Spongebobjudgeypants, it’s a beautiful day here, hope it is where you are so you can get to that park,

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 13/10/2022 13:22

Yes, it's a really nice day, so no excuses for Sponge! Smile

LeftyLou · 13/10/2022 14:14

That's a great result @Dahliasrule 😊

I had a gain this week. I am not too fussed over it. I am taking it for what it is and it helps I am feeling motivated to just keep going as best as I can.

Bought the magazine in group yesterday and there is some lovely looking recipes so going to take time out to get to the shops and cook something. (It has been a while)

Also I have noticed a pattern. I seem to loose for 3 weeks in a row then either have a maintain or a gain. Quite frustrating.

Dahliasrule · 13/10/2022 14:31

Thank you, Leftylou. If you follow your pattern you should be due for a loss next week.
must look out for mag. at my next group.

Vanderpump · 13/10/2022 14:55

Hello. Can I join? I've just joined SW online this week

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2022 17:17

Welcome @Vanderpump

@LeftyLou star week as they call it ?

Wilma55 · 13/10/2022 19:09

Hi @Vanderpump , how are you finding it so far? What is your weigh day?

LightandAiry · 13/10/2022 19:18

Hi all, I have not focused this week but had a good day with salmon, Slimming World chips and broccoli for dinner this evening. Hoping not to have too much damage on the scales this week. Nice to see we're keeping the thread going 🙂

Welcome @Vanderpump

@Blondeshavemorefun this is random - saw Claire Richards on TV earlier, remember we did her exercise DVD? She looked good obviously cracked it these days.

@Dahliasrule well done!! Are you feeling properly better?

@LeftyLou great positivity. I agree it's important to keep going.

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants it was gorgeous earlier on, if it's like this tomorrow you will enjoy a walk. I was hot at the end of mine

Vanderpump · 13/10/2022 19:25

Wilma55 · 13/10/2022 19:09

Hi @Vanderpump , how are you finding it so far? What is your weigh day?

Hello, I've decided to make my weigh day a Saturday so I can have a wee wine on a Saturday night!

I think it just takes a wee while to get used to, I've planned for next week and I'm going to do some cooking

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2022 19:26

I believe she had help via surgery. But yes she finally mamaged to curb her weight

she was yoyo bless her. Tho could say the same for us @LightandAiry we’ve been on and off for. Maybe 14yrs 🥲

as was when dh1 was alive and had all that trouble bless him

LightandAiry · 13/10/2022 19:38

Ah Blondes I think it's so easy to go off the boil, it's Slimming World forever. Bless you re dh1 ❤️

My DD is 18 before too long, I remember she was little when we 'met' (yikes 14 years ago!!).

I didn't realise Claire Richards had surgery.

Me too @Vanderpump I weigh in Saturday at 7.30am....stupid o'clock but it doesn't interfere with the week that way.

I didn't know Claire had had surgery until I just looked it up. She had a gastric band fitted in 2010.

LightandAiry · 13/10/2022 20:17

I would hate that, but can understand.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/10/2022 20:28

Good god. I feel old @LightandAiry your dd was 4 when we met. I now have. A 5yr

I would love surgery . If I was rich I wouid have it done

LightandAiry · 13/10/2022 22:01

It is a lovely age Blondes so cute you're rightly so proud. My DD still makes me laugh every day but I'm not keen on the attitude!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 14/10/2022 09:15

@LightandAiry they grow out of it, but keep the funny bit, so all good. You just gotta hang on in there!
Trivial musing. I've been having berries and pancake every day for breakfast. But frozen berries are getting stupidly expensive, so I think I'll try a savoury pancake, maybe with beans. What does everyone else have for breakfasts, that doesn't use of a hex B? If I use my 'bread' ration then, I often end up wanting it again later, and then not synning it...
How are folks today?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2022 10:01

Omelette is have time

or bacon eggs beans

I gained a lb. But pissed off as been on plan this week so not sure why Gained

maybe from last week

i was having a good run of losing a lb a week and gone tits up recently

LeftyLou · 14/10/2022 10:05

Hi @Vanderpump welcome :)

@Blondeshavemorefun you are absolutely right. It is star week for me

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants that is a shame about frozen fruit getting expensive. Today for my breakfast I am planning on having a SW sausage pattie with couple rashers of bacon and an egg. Then some apple, pear and strawberries for some speed. Slimming Eats has a few non hexb breakfast ideas that look good.

Wilma55 · 14/10/2022 11:16

There's a thread about non hexb breakfasts

www.mumsnet.com/talk/slimming_world/4510112-Ideas-for-no-hexb-breakfasts

Vanderpump · 14/10/2022 12:39

I'm starting tomorrow, I think I'm going to make a batch of the breakfast pancakes for breakfast tomorrow and freeze the rest

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 14/10/2022 13:12

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun @nonameslefttochoose @Wilma55 Welcome @Vanderpump
