6 stone to lose. Help!

Hi everyone,
Just looking for encouragement and support. Starting a new group tomorrow. 10 years ago I had a successful stint and lost 3 stone in 6 months. Had lots of unsuccessful goes since then but I really have to make it work this time. Got foot surgery coming up so it's a medical requirement as much as for confidence and general health.
I would just love to "chew the fat" ...😂 Ha ha, not literally!!!... with other new starters.

3rd weigh in today and I've lost a stone exactly. Although, I've got a lot to lose to be healthy. I've not set a target yet, but thinking my interim targets will be Club 10, 4 stone and 7 stone, which I think will put my bmi at the upper end of normal.

To be honest, I think I've only lost so much because I've been poorly on and off recently, so not much of an appetite. Although lying in bed trying to get an early night and I'm STARVING

I really enjoyed my first day. Thankyou @SpongeBobJudgeyPants Smile the group was a nice small one. Wonder if it will become bigger once new year is amongst us.

That's fantastic @LittleDoritt. Trying to think of how much weight to lose is very daunting isn't it. So I have put down 1/2 stone to achieve each time. Might give myself a little reward each time for that.

My starting weight is 13 stone 3.

Hi Everyone! Well done @Cottonfairy4615. @LittleDoritt yes, I like the stickers too. I put them on the front of my general stuff and weigh in book to remind me! @Leftylou, glad you enjoyed the group. I think it's good to reward yourself along the way, I do the stone, half stone, and also feel ridiculously pleased when I dropped into the next stone bracket, eg xx stone 13 instead of the next stone plus some, even though the difference wasn't huge, was a psychological boost for me.

If you have the app you can log your exercise and once you get the award (takes 4 weeks) show it at check in and they give you sticker etc. Every little bit of motivation helps!

I had a totally off the rails lunch today and need to get straight back on plan before I start to slip. It happens so quickly and I NEED to get this bloody weight shifted.

I need to lose 3 stone. I lost nearly 5 and have put most of it back on. I hate how I look but I can't get motivated. I might do online or do it myself from information online (can't get to classes)

@amazeandastonish do you have Facebook? There are loads of support groups on there. I go to class so don't know what if any online support there is. Good luck!

I get too embarrassed of being recognised in groups, plus the whole clap clap makes me cringe. I'm more a private person really.

I'm late to the party, but can I join in? 3 stone to lose, started on 1st November for a 30 day challenge to myself and found I was (surprisingly) motivated.

So week 1:
Starting Weight: 13st 10lbs
+-: -5lbs
Current Weight: 13st 5lbs

Week 2:

Not having many syns per day (5-10) and cut out booze, chocolate and takeaways. 2litres of water per day. BUT have been to Wagamama and had Donburi Teriyaki Beef which was lovely and only 17.5 syns, with flowering jasmine tea! Was a real treat, highly recommend Grin

So I'm weighing in on Monday morning but don't really expect another big loss this week as I've done better than imagined I could.

1lb off today at meeting. Just had lunch with friends,
lasagne 25 1/2
250ml red wine 10

Luckily feel really full so won't eat any/much more today!

Hi All. Some good weight losses here. Although I don't enjoy the clappy part of the meetings, I do benefit from being there. Picking up tips and recipes, and they're a good crowd, so I've learnt to live with it for now.

I do find I am recognising I am 'full' more often. I used to just carry on eating a bit longer! Blush

How's everyone getting on at the moment?

Agree about the not stopping when you're full thing @SpongeBobJudgeyPants and @LittleDoritt Brought up to think it was a criminal offence to leave or throw food away, never mind if you're full or not Shock Old habits die hard I suppose.

So week 3 for me of my November challenge - lost 3lbs this week so well happy with that

Week 3
Starting weight: 13st 10lb
+/- -3lbs
Current weight: 12st 12lbs

Can't really see a difference yet, still a huge belly Blush although someone at work said my face looks slimmer so I'll have that!

Watching Bake Off which is probably not a good idea! Only had 3 syns today. After Saturdays about 35 syns am trying to do under 10 a day for rest of week.
