Had a madly stressful day at work. Only had 1 piece of fudge and loads of grapes in addition to what I'd planned, which feels like a win as I comfort eat! Going to have some naturally light lemonade tonight for 4 syns so will be at 13.5 syns in total. Getting an early night so I'm not tempted to snack!

Preparing breakfast and lunch for tomorrow tonight:
B - baked apple & yoghurt, honey 1 syn
L - potato beans and cheese (3.5 syns for butter)
D - just remembered I'm going out! It's a catered event for work so god knows what I'll be fed. Will do my best.

TheReef · 06/01/2020 19:01

B - shreddies (40g) heB and milk heA
L - reduced fat feta heB, jacket potato, fage 0% fat yogurt and honey (2syns)
T - roast dinner, pots and veg
Snacks - fruit
Syns - Prosecco 10

FiveNightsAtMummys · 06/01/2020 19:06

The quorn cottage pie was delcious (it was a fresh one) not sure on the syns but it was really tasty and had loads of mash I feel so full right now. Had carbs every meal so I'm classing today as a win. Got fruit and meringues for later for the sweet tooth.

Loubylouchirino · 06/01/2020 20:24

Hi all! Can I join too? I lost 3 stone on SW a few years ago then through laziness and just pure greed, I managed to put 2 stone back on. I’m sick of my clothes hurting when I put them on so now here I am. Even though I’ve done it before, it seems like I’m eating loads and I’m already worried that on Friday (weigh day) I’ll have lost nothing!

Today I had:

B: weetabix with milk (HEa), banana
Sn: bit of pineapple and a satsuma
L: Hawaiian pasta from slimming eats (1 syn), a bit more pineapple and a satsuma
D: Aldi skinny sausages (1.5 syns), chips, egg, beans, 1 slice of wholemeal bread & 5g Flora Light (5 syns) and an orange
Sn: 4 Lighter cheese triangles (other HEa) and some cucumber

Collision · 06/01/2020 21:47

1 1\2 lbs on over 2 weeks which I’m happy about.

Dinner was turkey mince and rice with salad

TheReef · 06/01/2020 22:03

How do people fit in speed foods, ie veg with things like curry and spag Bol? Or do you just throw it on the plate regardless of if it's right or not.

Dontrainonmyparade · 06/01/2020 22:38

Can I join please?
Similar to loubylou I lost approx 3 stone a couple of years ago and have since piled nearly all back on. I’m very new year, new start right now.

Today I’ve eaten:
B: overnight oats (40g porridge oats HEXB, mixed frozen berries and skyr natural yog) - I didn’t have time to eat it all at breakfast so saved half for my post dinner evening snack.
L: ham salad with 35g Edam (HEXA) and wotsits (4.5)
D: chicken enchilada (leftover roast chicken, peppers, onion, garlic, chopped toms, herbs, salt, pepper, fajita spice, kidney and butter beans cooked on the hob, then baked in a weight watcher wrap with 25g 50% less fat grated cheese on top (6 for wrap, 3.5 for cheese). Followed by an apricot.

Other HEXA 250ml semi skimmed milk in tea/coffee throughout day.

Dontrainonmyparade · 06/01/2020 22:41

reef I try and get yellow sticker bags of things like cauli rice (on curry days) and courgetti (spag bol). Otherwise, I pack the dish with speed veg when I’m cooking it - eg extra onions/peppers in spag bol, or frozen veg chucked in the curry.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 06/01/2020 23:26

Reef spag bol I add onions, mushrooms, grated carrot, tomatoes (there all speed) and if you want too instead of pasta to serve you could have butternut squash spaghetti or 50/50 and a side salad. Lots of room for speed. I don't really eat currys but I've had a ready meal thai green one and I added extra veg or like the previous posted said cauliflower rice.

Collision · 07/01/2020 07:26

Reef.....our consultant explained it again last night.

Even though it’s random, plate your speed food first so 1/3 plate is speed. Then add main meal.

I like all vegetables so don’t mind broccoli with spaghetti bolognaise but you could do a tomato/onion/cucumber salad with curry or add courgetti to spaghetti bolognaise.

I grate carrots into porridge sometimes which adds speed but no flavour.

TheReef · 07/01/2020 07:56

Packing the actual food with veg is a good idea. I made spag Bol on Sunday and added extra celery, carrots, mushrooms and onions, so I guess I'm kind of doing it anyway.

I watched a program on plant based diets on Netflix the other day, really interesting and I'm going to try out quorn mince and swap my meat for that type of thing (as long as it's syn free).

TigerJoy · 07/01/2020 12:23

Reef that's exactly what I do. Lots of celery, onion and carrot fried up gently for 20 mins or so as a flavour base, then lots of mushrooms in spag bol (courgette too if you like), and in chilli lots of peppers and mushrooms.

I also sometimes have a crunchy salad beforehand as a starter to get enough speed, and fill me up with speed first, but that doesn't work when I have to go low-fibre as I am now. In that case, steam some nice veg e.g. spinach and green beans and have it alongside.

Weighed this morning and I'm up a pound! I'm doing it online so going to cheat and leave my weigh-in til the end of the week so my weigh-in is back as a Friday. Because I missed a Friday it looks like it puts your next weigh-in as a week after whenever you finally do it if you're late putting it in. Telling you lot for some accountability though! No idea why I've gone up but assuming it's because I'm coming up to my period.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 07/01/2020 13:04

Today's food.
Was out with a friend this morning so breakfast was out.

First thing cup of tea

Breakfast - costa protein pot (really nice, had scrambled egg, beans, mushrooms and cheese in) with a small skinny latte.

Another cup of tea

Lunch - bowl of rice krispies and 2 peppermint teas.

Snack - will have special k bar

Tea - prawn salad with pickles, coleslaw, hummus and carrot sticks.

Snack - grapes, blueberries and banana. Possibly another cereal bar or 2 biscuits / crackers not sure yet.

Done 30 min hooping, hoping to get 30 mins on walker too at some point.

troppibambini · 07/01/2020 13:41

Beef and sweet potato stew was ok. Dh really liked it but he's much more into sweet potatoes than I am maybe it wasn't the most sensible dish to make as I'm not massively keen on them!....

Tonight I'm making this which is much more up my street. Doing it with noodles and veg.
