I lost 1.5 lbs last night, I was so taken aback.

I really lost sight of what I was doing last week so I'm so, so pleased. It's given me a boost for sure.

Hey well done us! That's great @spidercharlotte and @blondes

Definitely a big boost to post a loss. Just realised I am still half a pound up from 2 weeks ago BUT i am 2lbs lighter than I was on Wed and 4lbs lighter than what I was at the weekend! Aiming/hoping for a bigger loss this next week.

troppibambini · 29/11/2019 14:59

Well done all the losers!! @Flippingnorah that's an amazing loss you must be so pleased!!

B-coffee
L-ww wrap (heb) ham, tomato and cucumber, butternut squash soup and a s and v rice cake(1.5) yogurt(0.5)
D-campfire stew with mash, broccoli and pickled red cabbage.

lilgreen · 29/11/2019 16:13

Whoop another lb off this morning so that’s 7 lost and 4 to goSmile. It’s slowed to 1lb every 8 days so think I need to do more exercise to help. What do you all find works for you? I walk the dog for about 30/40 mins a day at the moment.

lilgreen · 29/11/2019 16:14

B: porridge with skimmed milk
L: mashed avocado on rye bread, apple
D: ......?.....

TigerJoy · 29/11/2019 19:05

@lilgreen if you can face exercise classes they're great. Walking the dogs is great but doing more intense exercise might help? Or yoga with adriene? Free on YouTube.

I have better losses when I'm more active. I've been cycling a lot more recently and I think that's helped me.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 29/11/2019 19:19

Lilgreen I've recently upped my exercise again as 1) I have an air walker from dh and 2) I need a new focus. So I've been doing 30-40 mins on airwalker and 30 mins weighted hooping and 10 mins resistance bands. I aim to do it 5 times a week. I've been for an extra walk today too, could you go for a couple of extra walks? Either taking dog or going to a shop? I like to walk with just my music sometimes and go round the block. The kids wanted some fizzy pop tonight, so we walked to the shop (uphill) instead of driving.

Personally I'd say just increase slow so u don't see it as a chore and don't worry if you can't do any, I didn't do any at first. They say exercise doesn't loose you weight on its own but it does compliment any healthy eating plan your on.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 29/11/2019 19:21

I got given a piece of fruit cake today! Couldn't say no, it is a very small piece...well its probabily a normal size piece but compared to the portion I'd cut it's a very small piece. Going to have thay with brew and a bit of fruit for my snack tonight.

lilgreen · 29/11/2019 19:37

Ah thanks yes I think I was walking more but this weather makes me and my dog cut it short. I was biking in the summer and DH is a sport freak so I should join him more. He’s doing a park run tomorrow but I’m not a morning person! Will try to up it and maybe do a daily plank and some squats.

lilgreen · 29/11/2019 19:39

I did Zumba a year ago but it hurt my lower back probably because I forgot I’m 48 and went in 100%! I loved it though. Love yoga too so will try that thanks.
D: lentil bolognaise, glass of red

TigerJoy · 29/11/2019 23:00

I'm lucky that I can cycle to work. Try walking to more places if you can. So it's 15 mins on the bus to town for me or 40 mins walk so when i can I walk. I have definitely built up my stamina and strength making those kind of choices. My (normal weight) husband is quite annoyed that I am obviously way more fit than him!

But honestly - it's mostly what you eat.

lifesbetteraftertea · 30/11/2019 08:00

TigerJoy · 30/11/2019 09:54

That's really interesting @morgan12 thanks for sharing. Because it's just the 2 of us at home when i cook it tends to last for at least 2 meals eg spag bol i will need to plan on us eating it again soon. We have a pastabake in the fridge now for dinner for the next 2 nights (partly as dh is working nights so if I'm out he has something to eat). You have inspired me and I will do the same for this week...was thinking of making chilli nachos again...

MummyInTheNecropolis · 30/11/2019 16:00

I fell off the wagon spectacularly last night. Got home from work mega late due to London Bridge incident, only to find we’d had a power cut, whole street was out for about 2 hours, me and DD both starving so I caved and ordered a pizza, garlic bread and chicken strips 🙈. The power came back on just as we were finishing eating! Going to try to be extra good now until WI Monday evening and see if I can claw it back!

TigerJoy · 30/11/2019 20:41

@mummyinthenecropolis I think that's fair enough! What a day. Must have been upsetting and scary.

Had wok-fried rice noodles with prawns for lunch. Pretty benign. Kids crepe with nutella, 30g peanuts as a snack (heb). Haven't managed dinner as pelvic pain has kicked off - waiting for painkillers to kick in then will have pasta bake.

Lovely day with niece but knackered now.

lilgreen · 01/12/2019 08:25

Had a long dog walk yesterday in the beautiful frosty sunshine. Was out over an hour and was walking briskly. Anyway, half a pound off this morning so I’m sure that helped! Also had a late breakfast so skipped lunch. Probably helped too.

TigerJoy · 01/12/2019 12:47

Was prescribed morphine for a massive pain flare up last night by emergency dr so after very little dinner had a 3am snack of a handful of peanuts and a hot choc with whippy cream and a small bag of milky bar buttons. No excuse.

Craving comfort food today so just thinking how i make it relatively healthy!

B - bacon sandwich (8 syn for bread, 4 syn for butter)
L - homemade leek and potato soup (2 syn for butter)
D - beef stew, baked potato, kale

Might make some bean blondies for a relatively healthy treat.

lilgreen · 01/12/2019 18:18

Sorry to hear that @TigerJoy.
B: dry fried egg, oven baked veg sausage, beans
L: baked chicken thigh(skinless) and salad , apple.
D: roast pork, 3 small roast potatoes, 1 small Yorkshire, carrots, sprouts , cauliflower

MummyInTheNecropolis · 01/12/2019 19:09

Managed to do a lot better this weekend:

Yesterday:
B - banana
L - cream cheese salad wrap (HEB and 2 syns)
D - quorn nuggets (4), chips, beans and mixed veg
S - mini pack love hearts (1.5), hifi (3)

Today:
B - Apple and satsuma
L - pasta n sauce (0.5) with cheese (HEA)
D - beef stew with potatoes and tonnes of veg
S - mini choc fingers (5.5), lollipop (2)

Haven’t had my B choice yet so might have a couple of hifis later.
