B-coffee
L-bacon omelette and beans
D-sausage, mash and broccoli

Trying to pull back what has quite honestly been a horrific week food and drink wiseGrin

Dh eats what I eat. Or if it's something he doesn't fancy (which is rare) he sorts himself out.

lilgreen · 25/11/2019 18:40

I weigh every day. It keeps me focussed plus it really helps to stay on it when you can see it working. I haven’t really changed what I eat much , just stopped eating in between meals and slightly smaller portions in the evening.

TigerJoy · 25/11/2019 21:23

Not had a great day. Good dinner but butter on potato (4). Snacks - 1 soy milk cappucino, 1 ml (1/2), fruit in the day and peanuts (7) ham and cucumber when i got home from work. Might be ok in syns but feels like too much and should have been lower due to weekend. Tough day at work though and I was tired.

SpiderCharlotte · 25/11/2019 22:21

B - egg bites

L - roasted veg with prawns and feta (HEA) packet of Quavers (4.5 syns)

D - Homemade SW chicken tikka masala with rice.
French fancy (5.5 syns)

Collision · 26/11/2019 07:58

I haven’t posted here for a while.

Went to group last night.

I lost 5. 1/2 lbs!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I got my club 10 award 🥇
I got Slimmer of the week award 🥇
I got Slimmer of the month award 🥇

I felt like a celebrity!
The applause was deafening.
I nearly bowed.

Flippingnorah · 26/11/2019 09:10

@Collision oh amazing! Well done you!!!!

I had a semi good day yesterday. We went to the carvery for lunch. Had turkey with loads of cabbage, carrots and peas. 1 small roast potateo and about a tablespoon of stuffing + a ladle of gravy.

I'm not sure on syns. I think I went over my cheese allowance too and I has a big bite of Wensleydale with cranberries but I'm so bloody proud of myself. This is a massive win for me. Having just 1 roastie... I'm really pleased.

The restraint is strong at the moment. I'm terrified of falling off the wagon because I don't just fall, I plummet into an abis of glut and I can't get back on it for months. I'm really worried about christmas. what are your strategies for the Xmas period?

lifesbetteraftertea · 26/11/2019 09:15

@Collision that's fantastic well done ! Can you really feel the difference ?

@Flippingnorah I was thinking the exact same last night, I've been rubbish at the weekends but difference is this time round I'm back on it come Monday whereas before going off the rails for one day inevitably turned into months of over eating then rejoin yet again! I'm trying to go by the mantra "strive for progress not perfection" and it's really helping. Regards Christmas I'm thinking allow myself 23-26 off then back on it!

B - bran flakes and milk
L - left over pasta
D - shop not coming till late tonight so going to have to syn frozen fish out the freezer with sw chips and veg
Syns - dinner and hifi in work

Collision · 26/11/2019 09:29

@Flippingnorah Thanks 😀

We went through a beige buffet in group last night and my plate came to 90 syns! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

It really depends on what you are doing over Xmas......

Entertaining? You can offer lots of SW friendly food and be in control.
Going out to eat? Check the menu, ring in advance and tell them your gut cannot cope with fat and you need less oil and butter
Going to friends? Eat some soup before you go so you aren’t ravenous. Offer to drive so you don’t drink alcohol. Ask your friend if she could do a big salad or offer to take one.

There always around most things. It depends on your willpower.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 26/11/2019 12:20

Got weighed at home and I'm 8st8 and a quarter now so under target again which is perfect as I'm going to a Christmas market tomorrow and it will just be a day of eating lots rubbish!

Christmas last year I gave myself 4 days off plan and was right on plan uptown and after. I also had new years eve and new years day off plan. That's how I did Christmas. I gained 1lb which has been my biggest gain throughout slimming world life. I expect it to be more this year since I'm I'm 6st lighter.

Collision · 26/11/2019 13:00

@FiveNightsAtMummys

So you were 14 stone ish and now you are 8 stone ish.
That’s phenomenal.

Don’t suppose you would consider posting photos would you? I need some inspiration.

I was 14 stone and I wanna be 11 stone. I don’t know what I would look like at 8 stone......

FiveNightsAtMummys · 26/11/2019 13:40

I was 14st8 and now I'm 8st8 and a quarter. My original target was 10st7 which I never thought I'd get to!
I've never been this light I've always been around 11st for years and years. Not sure if I'll stay this weight or if I'd increase it a bit in the future just going to see how I go.

I can't post pics on here it won't let me I've tried lots!

Flippingnorah · 26/11/2019 14:23

@FiveNightsAtMummys wow, how incredible!

How long has it taken you to get to target? How have you achieved it? Do you go nuts at the gym or casual dog walk and food optimising?

I was 16.9 and 5'11" so I'd like to get done to 12.9 as then I'll be in a healthy bmi range. Albeit the higher end. I've accepted I'm never going to be 10 stone, but as I'm so tall, 12 stone will look skinny! To me anyway!

Collision · 26/11/2019 16:18

*can't post pics on here it won't let me I've tried lots!

Could you try again 🤣🤣🤣

I’m intrigued.
I bet you look like a completely different person.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 26/11/2019 16:50

Sorry if this is long!!

When I tell people how much I've lost I always get met with the same reply "woah you didn't look that big" so maybe I carry it well? I think I look the same except I've lost my love handles (they didn't go till about 5st loss) I still have wide hips tho!

I started November last year and I got to target may (target was 10st7lb so 4st loss. Since then I continued to loose most weeks even thought I was having an off plan day or 2 so I changed my target to 10st. Then again to 9st7 and about a month ago I changed it to lowest allowed for my height (5ft6) which is 8st12.

Didn't do any exercise first few months at all, I did try a bit of yoga with Adrienne but I loose interest quickly. I started walking a couple of times a week and doing a few sit ups (I've got the ab roller thing). It was about may time before I got a weight hoop and started doing a bit of hooping a few times a week. Then more recently (August) I got a air walker and went on it about 3 times a week. Unfortunately a month later it broke! Then dh bought me a new one for Christmas but he gave me it last week so I've been going on that this past week along with hooping and sit ups.

So for the "main" loss I didn't really do a lot, just a few walks 2-3 times a week. I was very strict with counting syns and weighing everything that needed too....apart from milk. Recently I've started measuring it a bit but that's because I count cals now along side. Sp days work really well for me aswell so when I needed a boost I'd cut down on obvious carbs like pasta, potatoes, rice etc. I do still go for other options like cauli rice and butternut squash noodles but thats because I prefer them, altho I am making sure I have more carbs now I'm doing exercise.

Like I say I'm not sure if its sustainable for me to stay at this weight long term as it's so small for me but only time will tell.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 26/11/2019 16:54

Today's meals:

I had a tesco healthy breakfast it came with spinach, poached egg, mushroom, tomato and beans and a slice of seeded bread. I asked if I could swap the seeded for wm and they did so thats my heb!

Lunch I had pancakes with greek yog and satusmas as I wasn't really hungry.

Tea will be morrisons fish cake (2 syns), carrot, jacket potato with cheese and marmite (love marmite).

Snacks - not sure yet maybe more satsuma and half a dozen party rings to dip in brew? Had a bite of a thai fish cake my eldest made at school so guessed at 1.5 syns for that bit.

lilgreen · 26/11/2019 17:31

B:porridge with skimmed milk and handful of blueberries. Tea with skimmed milk.
L: 1 slice of rye bread with small mashed avocado, an apple. Peppermint tea throughout the day.
D: Tuna and wholewheat pasta bake with a little grated cheddar. Green salad.

Flippingnorah · 26/11/2019 18:59

@FiveNightsAtMummys Wow, incredible. I've started last week, in November so hopefully should be near to target come May/June. You've given me massive inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 26/11/2019 19:21

Good luck Flippingnora you can do it!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 26/11/2019 19:31

B - banana
L - chicken and sweetcorn pasta salad (1.5 for mayo)
D - 4 heck chicken sausages (2), SW chips, asparagus and mushy peas (1 for ketchup)
S - kvarg yoghurt (0.5), 2 hifis (HEB) and a mini chocolate reindeer (3)

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/11/2019 20:09

Well done @Collision

@FiveNightsAtMummys weight such a weird thing. You are one inch shorter then me. I’m 5/7

I got to 1010 on ww 10yrs ago +. Looked gaunt and struggled to keep weight there

No way I could get to 9st. Let alone 8 something

You say that’s you lowest weight allowed. So making your bmi 18/19

To me that seems too low - what size are you now in clothes

And welcome to email pics and I will put them up

[email protected]

Sorry for toothache

Good luck @Flippingnorah

Been a manic day today

Why do you feel that @SpiderCharlotte

OP posts:
SpiderCharlotte · 26/11/2019 20:52

I don't really know Blondes - I've felt really 'in the zone' since I started last month but feel like I'm losing it a bit now. I feel like I need a really good loss to spur me on but I won't get it this week. 😟
