@Blondeshavemorefun - I got the tuna from my work canteen so I prefer to be overcautious as I don't know if they added anything else to it!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 31/07/2019 11:43

Hello silver!
@Blondeshavemorefun you're right, the cous cous does sound weird but I'll give it a try! I do love my branflakes though. Not a big bready person (except for ciabatta with loads of olive oil and garlic, which kind of defeats the object Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 12:31

It is weird but Tastes yummy

I’ve eaten my body weight in cucumber pepper toms and strawberry’s

Sweet couscous sounds interesting!!
I weighed this morning and had gained half, which is well deserved as I have had a very bad week except for the last couple of days.
L-left over spaghetti with tomato and steak
D-Prawn and noodle pho (this delicious if you like Thai noodle soup)

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 16:03

@troppibambini a gain isn’t so bad when you know why

I’m Hoping for a loss Friday

Even a lb a week is 4stonw over a year

OP posts:
Ofpalestsilver · 31/07/2019 16:17

@troppibambini - did you make the prawn and noodle pho yourself?

danni0509 · 31/07/2019 16:18

Following this.

troppibambini · 31/07/2019 16:36

@Ofpalestsilver yes I do it's a big favourite in this house even though the kids say it smells like feet when it's cookingGrin (it's just the fish sauce it doesn't taste remotely feety!)

@Blondeshavemorefun I know you're right in the grand scheme of things it's not too bad but would really like a good loss this week as I'm away at the end of the month, I need to stay focused Grin

Ofpalestsilver · 31/07/2019 17:09

My menu today btw has been:

B: Weetabix (HeB) with lacto-free milk (HeA)

Mid-morning snack (honestly, I'm still ravenous; it's definitely my medication increase cos normally I am pretty chill on a WFH day): iced coffee, honeydew melon, seafood sticks

L: Uncle Ben's basmati pouch (2 syns - I needed the carb!) with a topping of fresh tomato, spinach, red cabbage with garlic, chilli and soy [it was so delicious]

Afternoon snack: Banana

D: Egg noodles with a stir-fry of prawns, yellow courgette, bamboo shoots, spinach and a soy sauce, chilli, garlic dressing.

I struggle most days to get two HeAs because I don't like cheese (mozza and parmesan but I'd struggle to eat that every day!) and I generally avoid dairy milk, only drink plant-based milks in cappucinos. Anyone else have that problem?

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 17:30

I had very moist gooey chocolate slice

Sits on naughty step

I’m synning 8

Really haven’t a clue how you syn cakes in cafes etc

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 17:31

@Ofpalestsilver what medication are you on , if you don’t mind me asking

OP posts:
troppibambini · 31/07/2019 17:56

@Ofpalestsilver I don't eat cheese either i definitely don't have both my hea's but sometimes if a want a sweet treat I will make an options hot chocolate (2 syns) with milk or have a skinny sugar free hazelnut latte at Starbucks.
I would much rather have two b's though!!

@Blondeshavemorefun I think that sounds about right... chocolate has milk in right? So I'm thinking in could be part of your hea...Grin

Ofpalestsilver · 31/07/2019 18:02

@Blondeshavemorefun - a lot! but specifically metformin. i'm on the maximum dose atm so just wondering if that has something to do with it. I did read increased appetite as a possible side effect while the increased dose kicks in so let's see. I'm totally counting down the minutes to weigh in now haha!

@troppibambini - I'd rather have a bar of chocolate to be fair ;) Anyway, it's good to know I'm not the only one. Prob does no harm not to have the second one. I have my lacto-free milk in my cereal as a way to get my calcium in - and when the weather gets colder I'll enjoy having an oat cappuccino. Or parm for my pasta!

troppibambini · 31/07/2019 18:53

Dinner was delicious!!

Daily menu - please come and write what you eat
troppibambini · 31/07/2019 18:56

2 syns for the roasted crushed peanuts on the top otherwise free.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 31/07/2019 18:59

@Ofpalestsilver
Cheese. My downfall. I love it, especially blue - comes from my Nan giving me little squares of Danish Blue instead of sweets when I was small.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 31/07/2019 19:01

@Blondeshavemorefun but did it taste nice?!
I'm never sure how to syn things like that either, but the SW app can be helpful

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 19:03

OP posts:

OP posts:
dexterslockedintheshedagain · 31/07/2019 19:08

And yes I reckon you could use the skinny milk in the latte as your HEA. Just don't put anything else in it! Smile

earlybirdhasanap · 31/07/2019 19:09

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/07/2019 19:15

Has anyone brought the sw Iceland or Aldi slim meals

I have two. Brought last week. Assume they are free

Think was the tikka masala and pasta meatballs in TOM sauce

Are they nice ?

OP posts:
dexterslockedintheshedagain · 31/07/2019 19:28

Not sure bout Aldi, never tried them, but all Iceland SW meals are free. As for whether they're nice or not.... I'm not a big fan. The sauces tend to be a bit watery for me, but for convenience they're ok. Didn't like the sausages though AT ALL.
