*you're sorry I'm blaming the bad grammar on tiredness!

TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 12:37

@troppibambini sounds like a couple of cheeky gins tonight would be reasonable...but yes get home early! What a weekend

I'm feeling great this morning but have already been less disciplined with food

B - bacon omelette, wholemeal toast (HEB plus 2 syns for butter)
L - celeriac soup, 1/2 syn for butter
D - beef stew, mash, 2 syns for butter

S - so far a cappucino with 1 sugar plus a square of Lindt 85% chocolate (4 syns in total). Feel like I'll be hitting the chocolate today, but nearly out of syns already! Will try and have an early supper and an early night to prevent snacking

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2019 12:53

6hrs of Parties on a Saturday. Wow

B porridge b and banana

L Potato bacon and onion bake with mince and veg

@Blondeshavemorefun woohoo, 2lbs, that's great, congratulations!

Do you have an M&S near you? they're balanced for you range often has 3 meals for £10 offers, and they have some really tasty meals. The lamb curry and the ham with mash are both something like 2 syns each, very filling and delicious.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 01/11/2019 17:00

Well done blondes! How far are you away from target?

Today's foods...

Breakfast -omlette, beans and cheese slices.

Lunch - tuna mayo salad 1/2 syn. Followed by 3 baked banana oat muffins (2 syns & heb for all 5 - I ate last 2 not long after) with greek yog, blueberries and choc shot (1/2 syn)

Dinner - celaric chips, going to fry some pek ham (the free one) and hope it tastes like spam and have it with mustard!

Snacks - been snacking on sainsburys breaded chciken bites (not sure on syns but 31 cals each) had 2. Having kvarg white choc (1/2 syn) with raspberries, coulis (1/2 syn) and 2 mini meringues (2 syns). Got about 5 ish syns so might have some biscuits or oat cakes or something later if I fancy them.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2019 17:09

Yes a M&S is near me @TigerJoy. Will go and look

I’m nowhere near target / I’ve been up and done for months :(

If I stayed on plan think started this in July - I could have lose a stone easily

ideally want to lose 2stone for wedding but prob need to lose another 2 after that to get bmi ok

You'll get there Blondes! I started sw a year ago next week and tbh I thought I'd not last 3 days (tried in the past and that's what happened) but for some reason it just clicked this time.

magnarocks · 01/11/2019 18:26

B: raspberry and blueberry overnight oats (2) (HexB)

L: homemade soup, chicken, a yogurt (0.5)

D: risotto with prawns, peas and spinach

Sn: skinny flat white (HexA), some sweets 🤫 (5) and two biscuits (6)

First WI tomorrow morning, wish me luck. 🤞🏻

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2019 19:40

Bloody df trying to be helpful. I’ve put your meal in uor bag

I didn’t check. He’s given me this ffs

Not my sw risotto

How many syns is it anyone ?

And as I haven’t had my a’s Yet - can I take off 13 for the cheese

Daily menu - please come and write what you eat

TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 19:45

@magnarocks that sounds like a great day! I have started having a yoghurt after lunch and dinner as I often want something sweet and that seems to help the cravings plus help fill me up.

Good luck with your first weigh in. I was super nervous! I hope you get a brilliant result xxx

TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 19:50

@blondeshavemorefun

I've had a look, don't worry about the syns would be my advice (sw says 12.5 which is bonkers)

It's 558 calories. All my homemade pasta dishes clock in at about 500 cals which is a reasonable dinner and what I aimed for when eating 1200 cals a day (which is HARD!). If you can put your HEA towards it I would count 2/3 syns for oil and that's it (over the 500 for homemade).

It's a sensible dinner, it keeps you full, doing it once will be fine.

Have a good shift!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 01/11/2019 19:56

I agree with Tiger it's a good meal amount so don't stress it this time, it's a one off.

TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 20:07

@blondeshavemorefun I think we're a similar weight from memory of earlier posts. I have only lost weight in 3 weeks essentially... they've just been spread over 4 months!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Seeing as we don't have a time machine let's look forward - and you had a great loss this week so you are clearly doing all the right things. How long til the wedding?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2019 20:35

Thanks @TigerJoy. Oil and cheese is the o lot thing I can see in the ingredients

Cheese 12 lol

Happy to count 3/4 for it

Just annoying as planned my sw meal

But onwards and upwards

May next year

@magnarocks good luck tomorow

OP posts:
TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 21:01

@blondeshavemorefun yes it is annoying! But not the end of the world

May is doable. Do you have any interim goals?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2019 21:16

Nope just plodding along

Some people lost 8lbs in a week

I’m usually a lb girl

Slow and steady. If I stick to it .......

OP posts:
TigerJoy · 01/11/2019 22:37

Bah 8lbs is not sustainable that has got to be mostly water and / or muscle loss - unless the person is very big

Slow and steady wins the race!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/11/2019 10:04

@Blondeshavemorefun 2lbs is awesome! I can only dream of that.....🤣

Pinkarsedfly · 02/11/2019 10:11

I’ve totally lost my mojo. Keep hitting the wine. Fell off the wagon completely last night and did a fair impression of The Hungry Caterpillar eating all carbs in my path. Dry oatcakes, ffs.

Can anyone give me any tips to get me back on the wagon?

TigerJoy · 02/11/2019 10:54

Sorry to hear that @pinkarsedfly. Oatcakes?! 🤣🤣

Wine is looooads of syns. Have you tried just buying the little bottles? So you can have one but don't need to finish the bottle...

I had a bit of a moment when I was going for a meal out and saw the sensible options that would fit with sw but then also all the tasty deep fried options and thought...but I want a treat...and then thought my treat to myself today will be staying on plan and losing weight this week.

Realistically I also need sweet treats so i plan what nice things i can have for the day. Saving my heb for hifis is a start.

I also had a lot of success when I was obsessed with ice cream of saving all my syns for a scoop of haagen daazs in the evening (weighed!). I would look forward to it all day and really enjoy it...and that treat would keep me motivated not to eat anything else. Or if i plan on having a pizza i have no other syns that day and save them for the pizza

I find having something to enjoy that day that I can look forward to is really helpful

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2019 11:18

@Pinkarsedfly. Kwym I have been the same the last few months

But kicked my arse back into gear

B toast b egg bacon beans Tom

L pasta and veg

T 3 homemade corn beef hash 1/2syn each and egg

Not sure what tea will be like - first time I’ve ever made them

OP posts:
dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/11/2019 11:20

Yes to buying the little bottles, that's what I have to do. I simply cannot leave a full size one alone, once its opened! I also try to imagine how I'd feel the next day if I drank a lot (tired, sick, guilty, ashamed, embarrassed, yada yada) but I also try to imagine how I'd fell next day if I drank moderately (or not at al!) - happy, proud, functioning etc. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.
Hope this helps. You CAN do this. This thread is the best.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/11/2019 11:21

And @Pinkarsedfly - DRY OATCAKES??!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

TigerJoy · 02/11/2019 11:55

Oh and on the booze I found it easier either to only drink 2 days a week...but even easier was not to drink at all. No decisions to make about how much / when.

Plan out your meals is helpful too. I can't plan a whole week but I have a rough idea of the next few days and have stuff in the fridge / freezer I can make something healthy with last minute if needed. I plan my day over breakfast

B - baked apple, yoghurt, honey (1syn for honey - I'm not synning 1 bloody apple even if it microwaved)
L - frittata, salad (hea for parmesan in frittata)
D - chickpea and pumpkin curry (jamie oliver recipe), basmati rice, raita

S - coffees, 2 syns for sugar so far, pudding this evening

If I have the energy I am going to make sweet potato brownies, but am also hoping to do some yoga and get back to exercising 💪💪💪

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/11/2019 12:57

I've started doing yoga - working my way through the 30 day challenge by Adriene on YouTube. Did day 4 this morning (with dogs helping! )
Just got weighted, lost half a pound. Had hoped for more, but at least it's going the right way. My consultant thinks because I don't eat meat, I'm not actually eating enough any more. Any thoughts, anyone? Anybody else losing weight without the meat? I'm not feeling hungry, ever, I have to say.
And also @Blondeshavemorefun, you might need to think about starting a new thread soon!
