1 this week for me

NewMeStartsHere · 04/12/2018 21:41

Stayed the same this week but that's a win after the weekend i had!

Cherrypi · 04/12/2018 21:47

Bread and chocolate this week. Got over the mince pie obsession.

OwlinaTree · 04/12/2018 22:08

Hi all, sounds like it's going well for lots of you. Xmas is always a struggle as we are all encouraged to over indulge in December then go on crazy diets in January.

I went to weigh in this pm, lost 2lb (over 4 weeks) so now 0.5lb over target. Would like to lose a bit more before I finish work on 21st for Xmas, but very pleased with that. Got an Xmas party this sat, then work nights out 10th and 14th, so lots going on as usual at Xmas.

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 04/12/2018 22:34

Well done on all these losses! Really impressive. It’s so true though, there are so many temptations and nights out at the moment.

I did a gym class after work today and then had inside out chicken Kiev (flattened chicken breast with frylight, garlic and breadcrumbs on top) for dinner. Then four quality street for 10 syns. Savoured every one!

Tobermory · 05/12/2018 23:18

Well done everyone in losses this week

I’m half off so that takes me to 2 stone loss . Wish it was more but AF arrived on Monday... excuses excuses! 2 more lbs then I’m at interim target, just thinking about my next ‘proper target’.how do you decide?
My BMI is currently in healthy. I think I could lose maybe another stone but not much more. If I do lose another stone, it’ll be the lightest I’ve been.. possibly ever (as an adult) maybe I should change the target to another half stone then see how I feel?

Groovee · 06/12/2018 06:20

I did it half stone at a time until I felt happy.

Morning all. Well done Tobermory, two stone is brilliant.

I’m working from home today, glad I can stay in the warm with the weather! Planned out my food so I can try and avoid rummaging through the kitchen - porridge, apple and grapes for breakfast (3 syns for 20g oats), veg and cheese omelette with baked beans for lunch, and burger, chips and salad this evening.

Tailrunner · 09/12/2018 08:33

Morning all,

3lb off this morning which takes me to 1st 0.5lb altogether. I'm really pleased and can feel that my clothes are getting a bit looser. I've lost a stone before then lost focus and put it back on so my challenge is to stay on track for the second (and third and fourth) stone. It won't be easy over Christmas but I feel really determined so I'm optimistic I can do it this time.

sunshineNdaisies · 09/12/2018 10:28

stayed the same this week. I'm a bit depressed about that although I know I went over my syn allowance a few times. I need to get my head back in the game.

Tobermory · 09/12/2018 19:30

@groovee, that sounds like a sensible idea I’ll adopt that plan.
I’m not feeling optimistic for Tuesday, had 2 nights out and a boozy day at a Christmas market this week. Tried to make good choices but....! Xmas Shock
The rest of the weeek I was very focused. And my family have just had a mince pie and I had a syn free yoghurt, so right now I’m on it!

I think over The next few weeks I’m going to be as focused as I can be. For as many days as I can make careful choices but know that there are going to be days when it goes a bit pear shaped! Xmas Smile

Tobermory · 10/12/2018 21:55

I’ve just eaten a packet of crisps AND a kitkat... Xmas Shock
What on earth was I thinking? It’s weigh in tomorrow !!!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 11/12/2018 13:13

Had pizza Friday and cake as it was dc's birthday. Was struck 2 days before and didn't have any syns. All going well then yesterday ended up with fish and chips and a salted caramel brownie from christmas market. Was worried about weigh in today but lost 2lb! Really really pleased! I stuck to plan 100% week before and only lost 1.5lb.

Tobermory · 11/12/2018 17:26

@fivenights, I’m a bit the same. But just weighed in and I’m 3 down!! 3lbs off! I do kind of know why, AF last week meant only half off, despite running 20km in the week and being super good so maybe that explains.

So I have a new target of another 1/2 stone off as suggested by @groovvee

FiveNightsAtMummys · 11/12/2018 20:59

Well done @Tobermory!! I think it was perhaps my time of the month last week too ( on depo so periods more or less stopped). Who knows!

emwithme · 13/12/2018 13:09

Hi guys!

Baby Matilda was born on 28/11, weighing in at 6lbs 6oz.

I went to group this morning, and have lost a staggering 23lbs. I now have 17 lbs to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and 31 to get back to my lightest target.

Not entirely back on plan but am trying to make sensible choices when I can, and enjoying lots and lots of cheese and milk!

Hi all, mind if I join? Doing slimming world for 4 months now and lost 1stone 5lbs and got my club 10 this week. Need a bit of help though as I keep self-sabotaging and can't stop🙄

OwlinaTree · 13/12/2018 22:42

Congratulations Em. She is gorgeous. I love newborns and go all gooey over Call the Midwife!

I went back to group this week as school has broken up for Christmas and I like to go to a morning group as I always weigh less! I was 1.5lb over target, so I have a week to get that off.

Luckily all my Christmas dos are over with. I have had two Christmas dinners and a drinks party in the last week as well as all the chocolately nibbles in the staffroom to negotiate.

This week, I am a lady who does lunch and will be catching up with all my friends. Luckily, most are coming to me, so I can do a SW lunch. I am making campfire stew today - real comfort food!

Groovee · 15/12/2018 19:49

That's not bad @Bowbridge. I'm dreading Tuesday's weigh in.

Made malteaser cake for my colleagues to have on Monday. Have Dd a bit and she asked what it was... sort of looked at her and said "malteaser cake!" She replied "aww I thought you'd found a SW recipe for it" 🤣🤣.

Met someone today who hasn't seen me for a while. She suddenly exclaimed "my god look how much weight you have lost!" She said she couldn't place me but suddenly it clicked and she was like wow! I forget that some people still haven't seen me in a long time.

1lb off this week. Xmas work parties last week and again this week so I think it'll be a slow weightloss month but back on it in January.

Groovee · 16/12/2018 18:26

Doing my last minute Christmas cake I discovered last year. This week will be a gain... dh's Birthday during the week, my dads meal for his birthday today and my birthday tomorrow. Ah well. There's 11 other months where I lose or maintain. Finding this year so much more stressful than last year.
