@Megsmcgoo sounds good planning.

Well done @sunshineNdaisies

Oops @NewMeStartsHere

Been ok this week. Used savvy syns on Friday. But started my period today which would explain my gain last week.

Had a good weekend, stayed on plan other than fish and chips on Saturday night. Might go to weigh in this week, see how I feel.

I've got something every weekend now till Xmas, I've not no chance of losing! Will hope to maintain.

Tobermory · 18/11/2018 21:57

O blimey, my weekend has been a bit off plan...
Lots of booze, crisps and chocolates... that’s the worst of it. (The Lindor chocolates were bloody amazing though!) I did make some good choices; avoided pudding, chips and the bread in bacon sarnies and walked 13000 steps on Saturday... so it might not be a complete right off.
I was going to avoid weigh in on Tuesday but think I should go because I’m feeling pretty wobbly this evening. Think I did some motivation to get on it again!

OwlinaTree · 18/11/2018 22:05

Sounds like you had fun though tobermory!

Tobermory · 18/11/2018 22:11

I did @owlina, Grin
Just need to find my motivation again!!

Studentnursesos12e · 18/11/2018 23:26

Second year of Nursing is turning into a slog and a half 🤮 exams next month

Had a disastrous few days

Going to go to an earlier group and go tomorrow instead. Fresh start and 10 days of being on plan.

Ive not eaten a meal all day just snacked on cr*p.

Day 3 of no levothyroxine - tuesday will be a good day. Really not helping.

Tomorrow will be a library day (again 🤨) i'm going to go back to basics and have

B: fry up - veg sausages and mixed fried veg OR yoghurt and fruit
D: quorn 'chicken' or quorn 'ham' gherkin and tomato sandwich (B)
T: veg stir fry and noodles or spag bol or pasta bake

Need to get my yoghurt stocked up before the library. Amazing what lack of planning can do. Looking forward to getting back to it.

No thyroxine and eating sht is making me feel like sht

raisedbyguineapigs · 19/11/2018 12:44

I'm attempting 5:2 and slimming world to see how I get on. I'm putting everything into mfp but for just the 2 days. It is more suited to food that doesn't have a recipe otherwise you are just weighing every ingredient separately then weighing a portion to eat It's quite annoying but doable and quite interesting calorie wise for me 2 days a week. I'll see if it does anything. I think if I actually persisted with the half plate of speed model I wouldn't need to measure though Grin.

Tailrunner · 19/11/2018 16:00

Sorry to post and run but it's been a hectic weekend - I'll try to read through the thread properly later. I didn't manage to weigh in on Sunday as I was away but jumped on the scales this morning and I've lost 2 and 1/4 lbs. That's 7.5lb down in 3 weeks so I'm pleased. I need to really go for it over the next couple of weeks as I have a few xmas meals coming up after that. Still hoping to lose a stone by xmas.

NewMeStartsHere · 19/11/2018 17:47

Back on track here. Had 4 syns today so far but feel back in the zone. Weigh in tomorrow so hoping I can see some sort of loss. Weighed the same this morning as last Monday though Blush

Tobermory · 20/11/2018 19:39

Had a sneaky at- home weigh this morning and it was the same as last week so I had high hopes. But no ... a gain. Half on. Sad
So even the 5km run I did on Monday night wasn’t quite enough to balance the weeekends Chocolate.

Back on it.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 20/11/2018 19:44

Hi can I join? I started 2 weeks ago and have lost 11.5 lbs so far, still got a few stone to go

Megsmcgoo · 20/11/2018 20:02

Evening all! Course went well and there was a canteen on site so had jacket potato with beans and cheese both days, we did have dinner out on the Monday night at Gaucho which I couldn’t resist!

Does anyone know of any low Syn meals for TGI Friday? I’m headed there Thursday with work (we go out a lot with clients) but couldn’t find anything through the app or am I searching for the wrong thing?

I also have a Nando’s tomorrow 🙄 but just having chicken salad and sweet corn so it’s relatively low syn

Groovee · 20/11/2018 20:50

Welcome @FiveNightsAtMummys

Aww sorry @Tobermory

Well done @Megsmcgoo. I'd go for steak salad and a plain baked potato.

Well it's been 8 months since I hit target. It's been hard to maintain but 2/3rds of the way through a year is amazing.

I also lost 1.5lbs so 2lbs in the next 2 weeks to be at the bottom of target for the birthdays/Christmas/new year palava that is December for me.

OwlinaTree · 20/11/2018 22:11

Well done losers. I didn't go tonight, mum's birthday.

NewMeStartsHere · 20/11/2018 22:21

I missed weigh in. Going to try to get there tomorrow. Pretty sure I'm the same but I need them to tell me!

NewMeStartsHere · 21/11/2018 17:33

1.5lb down. But the reality means I've stayed the same as last week as I usually weigh in an evening and had to go first thing Hmm

Onwards and upwards...

Megsmcgoo · 21/11/2018 19:48

Stuck to plan today though a Nando’s was involved

B- weetabix and banana with skimmed milk, a and b choice
L- chicken without skin, salad, corn on the cob and halloumi, free bar the halloumi which is 9 syns and some sauce for 0.5
D- pork, rice, lots of veggies and Moroccan dressing, 2 syns

Tomorrow will be a Syn free day so the damage won’t be too bad at TGI’s, thank you @groovee for the steak suggestion, i’ll be doing that 😁

sunshineNdaisies · 21/11/2018 19:53

what weight loss gadgets would you recommend asking for as a christmas present? I'm wondering whether an acti fry is worth it. DH reckons it won't make anything taste any better and he wants to stick to shop bought chips, he doesn't want the hassle of home made.

What other gadgets are SW 'must have'?

Groovee · 21/11/2018 20:20

My George foreman is my favourite gadget.

My soup maker is a close second.

Would love an instant pot!

OP posts:
sunshineNdaisies · 21/11/2018 20:33

I had a soup maker but it wouldn't work or what I was doing didn't work. I had a morphy richards one with blend, chunky, smooth options. Chunky looked no different than when I put stuff in and the smooth option was too watery

Groovee · 21/11/2018 20:37

That's the one I have. It works brilliantly for me.

OP posts:
bigfootfred · 21/11/2018 20:39

Completely off the wagon this week 😞 just been comfort eating I think & been feeling pants.
Going to try a couple of SP days any tips?

Tobermory · 21/11/2018 23:05

We’ve got an acti- fry, it is amazing!
SW chippies in 20 mins, little fat used and does great food.

Or our vegetable steamer. I’ve got some pre prepared pots of mixed veg in the kitchen, carrots, brocolli sprouts etc. Chuck them in he steamer and 20ish mins later they’re done.

Tobermory · 21/11/2018 23:09

Been for a small run again tonight, just under 5k but feel better for going- my Fitbit counts it as excercise and it helped get my steps up to 13k.

OwlinaTree · 22/11/2018 21:42

Well done tobermory.
