Weigh in tonight, 1 and a half off.
I guess I should be pleased with that but I’m a bit disappointed that it’s not more. And the other bad news... they’ve run out of sticky toffee hifi bars!Shock

Megsmcgoo · 13/11/2018 20:27

Excited for the extra healthy a choice! Means I can have cheese 🧀 at either lunch or dinner, always have milk with my cereal so it’ll be a nice change

Megsmcgoo · 13/11/2018 20:29

Weigh in tomorrow Hmm as predicted this weekend wasn’t on plan but I have tried to limit damage where I can

Tailrunner · 13/11/2018 20:50

Tobermory- I was disappointed with 1.5 this week too but it all adds up if we stick with it.

Good luck for tomorrow megsmcgoo

Thanks groovee- I picked up fat free Greek yogurt today so I can try the baked oats and waffles on my day off.

NewMeStartsHere · 13/11/2018 21:15

Weigh in tonight and I was delighted with 5lb off! Week one but I've never had big losses, always steady. At least 1lb will be down to the clothes I wore today vs last week though (definitely didn't put weights in my pocket Wink)
Well done on the other losses. I'll be happy with a steady 1lb loss each week until xmas now.
Sticky toffee bars are the best! Are they permanent or special edition?!

Tobermory · 13/11/2018 22:21

newme, sticky toffee were a special edition, so when they’re gone they’re gone. And at my group tonight ... they’d gone!Sad

I’ve decide to try and shake it up a bit for me this week. I’d got into habits over the last few weeks- sam etching for lunches, using syns for booze, always having hifi for HEB choice on an evening..,, do you think that would make a difference.
And going to try to up my excercise. But this is so so hard, there’s just no time. Typing this at 10.30pm, just finished marking because I stayed at group. When am I meant to excercise?!

Tobermory · 13/11/2018 22:22

newme brilliant start. Fab 5lb off!

NewMeStartsHere · 13/11/2018 22:47

@Tobermory that makes me sad! They need to keep them like they did when salted caramel was popular! I couldn't get bars tonight so had to get Alpen bars - rubbish!

I struggle with fitting exercise in too. I've got an Apple Watch so I do tend to do as much as I can but I'm just exhausted when I get in from work. I don't enjoy exercise at all but I do feel better for it.

Shaking up your routine could be good. I too save my hifi bars for an evening and my syns are split between chocolate and wine!

Cherrypi · 14/11/2018 08:30

Hope sticky toffee come back. They’ve been my favourite so far. Half on this week. Leader has given me SAS logs to fill in. Hope this will help me find my motivation again. Going for a swim this morning which I’ve been meaning to do since September.

Groovee · 14/11/2018 14:15

I had an unexpected gain this week.

OP posts:
Tobermory · 14/11/2018 20:49

Sad for the gain @Groovee. Have you wallowed a bit today or straight back on it?

@Cherrypi, did you make it to the pool? I’m going tomorrow lunchtime. Did 3/4 of a mile last week but hoping to do a mile this week.

@Newme , I tried to shake it up today, had a weetabix this morning Grin but feeling cheated right now and missing my hifi sweet treat!

Groovee · 14/11/2018 21:13

@Tobermory I've got straight back on it. I was a 100% last week as well.

Try a pink and white (2.5 syns) in the microwave for 10/15 seconds then devour.

OP posts:
Cherrypi · 14/11/2018 21:16

I did. It was great and been in control of my eating all day even turned down toddler’s leftover chocolate cake.

OwlinaTree · 14/11/2018 22:53

Boo for the weight gain groovee. I hate it when that happens!

Newme 5lb off! Wow, well done!

Tobermory I also struggle to fit in exercise. I was running but i had to get up early to do it and it was just too much with everything else. I aim for 10,000 steps a day and try to be active at the weekend. That's all I can manage at the mo.

Megsmcgoo · 15/11/2018 08:43

Half a pound lost which is some sort of miracle!

I’ve booked holiday for next week, eating out a lot this weekend with drinking and then Monday and Tuesday I’m on a course, it’s been a busy month!

Studentnursesos12e · 15/11/2018 12:32

I was previously on these threads under a previous name before an entire (not sw) thread turned against me and I hid for ages 😂

Anyway, I am finally back in the sw groove and lost 5lbs last night and got slimmer of the week

I've been combining slimming world with intermittent fasting and an eating window of 10am-6pm

This has really helped with cravings as evenings are my worst time

Today
B: ready brek (b) protein and golden syrup (2.5) skinny syrup (0) satsuma (s) and carrot (s)

Also been doing the 777 challenge

So so far today ive had 2/7 speeds and 2.5/7 syns

Last wednesday I set myself a target of 13 lbs loss

5/13 down

Tobermory · 15/11/2018 14:37

@megs, well done on your pre-Christmas miracle! Grin

@studentnurse, welcome back! Your post looks like you’re all about the numbers! What is the 777 challenge?

Groovee · 15/11/2018 14:53

Welcome back @Studentnursesos12e

Well done @Megsmcgoo

Where you have more than 7 syns a day, have at least 7 speeds a day and 7 cups of water a day x

Its good to be back

raisedbyguineapigs · 16/11/2018 09:33

Hi all, been away for a bit as I've got despondent with SW. I had half a stone to lose but I've stayed the same for weeks then started putting on again, so now I'm back to a stone off a target which wasn't even that low! I stupidly bought a 12 week countdown thinking it would motivate me (it hasn't) and then got a week free voucher because I was referred by my doctor so I'm stuck doing it when I'm not enjoying it or losing any weight anymore Sad. Our consultant has left too and we have an interim scary one! I've been to her group before and she has put on a lot of weight. Makes me feel that even if I get to target its going to be a constant struggle to keep it off. I need to lose weight for health reasons otherwise I'd call it a day to be honest.

raisedbyguineapigs · 16/11/2018 09:36

studentnurse I was thinking I might do 5:2 with SW after the scary consultant has stopped asking for my food diaries Grin. I did it before but put the 'eat anything you like on non fasting days' to the test and didn't lose anything so I think a combo may give me a boost.

Cherrypi · 17/11/2018 08:12

It is going to be a constant battle. It’s depressing really and it’s one most people are losing.

NewMeStartsHere · 18/11/2018 10:24

Failing quickly here this weekend. Stayed on plan until I went out last night and had approximately 265227 syns on alcohol. Just had white bread Shock
Save me from the spiral!!

sunshineNdaisies · 18/11/2018 10:46

lost 1lb this week but I need to get my ass in gear. I haven't been 100% on plan and I need to use my food diary and syns a bit better next week.

Megsmcgoo · 18/11/2018 18:28

Have had a great weekend with my friends and probably ate and drank a million calories in some delicious cocktails but there ya go! Getting a take away this evening as we’be both been away this weekend and have nothing in and then tomorrow will be back on plan!

So tomorrow off to London to start the course at silly o’clock and my lovely manager and friend has offered to prep me overnight oats for the train journey, i’ve Gladly accepted Grin lunch is provided at the meeting but I think I might pop out and grab something a bit more slimming world friendly, then dinner is at a steak restaurant which is quite easy to manage.

I’ve got 3 weeks to go until my Christmas and nothing planned socially during that time which is perfect, planning to stick to plan as much as possible and start exercising again. 2 months ago I injured my knee and tore a ligament, it’s still painful but I want to start doing some light weights Smile

Here’s to a good week!
