Well done everyone who's lost. I was quite surprised with such a small gain.

Hopefully maintain or a wee loss this week.

Am so tired being back at work. I don't like being so cold either.

1.5 gain for me. Sort of expected it after last weekend. Wrist slapped and need to be good. Have an op in 4 weeks and want to lose at least half a stone before that.

Megsmcgoo · 26/10/2018 18:40

Evening all, lost 2lb on my first week which I was a bit meh about, have always lost big in a first week but that’s been with low carb diets. A loss is a loss at the end of the day!

No plans this weekend so looking forward to an on plan weekend although away with work Monday and Tuesday with weigh in Wednesday so I’m going to try my very best to stay on plan

sunshineNdaisies · 26/10/2018 19:19

Made my first order through musclefood this week. Had the chicken tonight. Did not like it at all. Funny taste.

DM is saying she told me to stop wasting my money on online sh*te and stick to supermarket meat instead because "all chicken is the same and you never see skinny chickens waddling about"

Megsmcgoo · 26/10/2018 21:54

I used to order from muscle food but when I priced it up it really wasn’t much different from Aldi or Asda and I thought the steaks were kind of rubbish, the hache steak was like a big burger!

sunshineNdaisies · 28/10/2018 06:53

2 more pounds off and club ten award today.

On a trip to london next week so will be WI one day late. Any tips for how to stay healthy when on a holiday? Will try to walk as much as possible to all the tourist sites/shows.

Megsmcgoo · 28/10/2018 16:28

Well done sunshine Smile

Tough few days coming up! Bake sale at work tomorrow, which I am planning on counting all syns for but then away with work overnight and all day Tuesday which will be the struggle. Usually involves sandwiches at the meeting but will search for other options!

Groovee · 30/10/2018 15:33

Taster tonight. It's Ds's Birthday so he's getting dominios. Then him and his dad are bowling with their bowling team. We'll celebrate on Friday when his sister is home.

Have made beef koftas from take 5 book and Mexican chicken pasta from the eat more for less book. Also roasted some potatoes from yesterday.

Have found it hard this week. I need to get more organised with lunches.

Argh pound and a half back on. Right this is getting ridiculous. I will lose this last ten pounds. I want to get my two stone certificate by Christmas. I need to stay away from my triggers and get on with it.

Groovee · 31/10/2018 16:38

I maintained last night. 32 weeks at Target. Taster was good. Some really good ideas. It might be 22 months down the line but still getting fab ideas.

boo1507 · 01/11/2018 06:56

What did you take for taster Groovee? Any good ideas you can share? Thanks for your ideas on the other thread by the way. I made SW sausage rolls for my taster on Tuesday and they went down a storm. People also made Christmas Puddong cheesecakes (not my favourite), mulled wine jellies (amazing) and a punpkin spice cake (not very cakey).

OwlinaTree · 01/11/2018 07:14

Hi all, hope you enjoyed Halloween. I made my DH watch hocus Pocus last night! That's about as scary as I like films!

Bowbridge · 01/11/2018 12:15

I have been avoiding group as I was out of target. I bit the bullet last week as I would lose my target membership (had not weighed in for 7 weeks). I was 2lb over and had a week to lose it or pay.

Having this hanging over me really made me stick to plan. This morning 2lb off! I certainly enjoyed the taster. Took along a curried crustless quiche. Someone brought along sweetcorn fritters; they were delicious!

Glad you are still in target Groovee and keeping this thread going. x

Riversleep · 01/11/2018 16:12

My group is tonight. Im taking ploughmans on a stick- cubes of cheese, pickled onion and cucumber on a cocktail stick! I was nominated for Miss Slinky but declined the nomination because frankly I was embarrassed being nominated when ive struggled so badly and have not lost any weight for weeks Blush

Groovee · 01/11/2018 17:03

I took the Tikka Beef Koftas from the take 5 book which went down well and Mexican Chicken Pasta our the eat more for less book.

Am making a chocolate orange mousse and it's chilling in the fridge.

My friend won Miss Slinky. But a few members told me they voted for me as they found me an inspiration. So I do feel like I must help some people by being at group.

I'm feeling a bit like I have lost my way though. I think it's the shorter days and that feeling of needing an extra layer so to speak.

Lost 6.5lbs this week which was incredible! Couldn’t believe it, that’s 8.5 in two weeks which I’m delighted with. Only a stone now until target Grin

Going to have a great week on plan as next week my sisters coming to stay for the weekend and we’ll be going out for meals and a night out

Tasters sound great! Looking forward to this happening at my group, always love trying new recipes

Riversleep · 02/11/2018 11:41

My friend won miss Slinky too. Im glad I turned down the nomination because some of the stories were so inspiring we were all choking back tears. I'd have gone in and said I love cake too much while everyone else was talking about life changing illnesses and accidents as the reason they joined SWGrin

Tailrunner · 02/11/2018 17:29

Right, I can’t fasten my jeans. It’s time for a change. I’ve started SW a few times but I haven’t stuck to it for more than a couple of weeks. To be fair, I recently retrained as a teacher and it’s been tough going so I’ve struggled to fit anything else in. I’m now settled at a fab school and I have time to think about my health. I turn 40 next year and I really need to start taking care of myself. I’m starting out at 13st 13 and would ideally like to lose 4 stone but taking it one stone at a time. I don’t have a free evening to attend a class so I’m hoping to find some support and motivation here. Hope you don’t mind me joining you.

Megsmcgoo · 03/11/2018 10:26

Welcome Tailrunner and good luck ☺️

Today’s menu is
B - 2 slices wholemeal (hex b), 2 poached eggs, 2 bacon medallions

L - Chicken fajita mix with butternut squash and 30g Red Leicester (hex a) the spice mix is from jd seasonings which i’d really recommend as they are all Syn Free

D - Steak with slimming world chips, salad and mushrooms, can’t wait for this one!

Syns will be used on 2 treat size chocolates and then maybe some ketchup for the chips

Tailrunner · 03/11/2018 10:56

Thanks Megsmcgoo, I weighed myself on Tuesday and it has been going okay since then. I am going to make Sunday my regular weigh in morning as it's the only morning we need to be out so I won't forget. Today I want to make some soups, pasta sauce and dahl to pop in the freezer to make next week easy.

Tailrunner · 03/11/2018 10:57

Oops, I meant Sunday is the only morning we DON'T need to be up and out.

Bowbridge · 03/11/2018 13:42

Welcome Tailrunner and good luck.

I have been part of these threads for over a year now (I have name changed recently). I reached target back in April, losing 2 stone. However, since the end of August I have found it hard to maintain being only 3lb over target.

Groovee is a great source of inspiration and advice. When I have a slip up, I read her posts and get back on plan.

Good luck with you weigh in tomorrow.

Tailrunner · 03/11/2018 14:40

Thanks Bowbridge and congratulations on getting to target. I have a lot to lose but it's keeping it off that worries me the most! Good luck.

Tailrunner · 04/11/2018 13:57

Well I weighed in this morning at 13 stone 9 1/4 lb so I've lost just under 4lb since Tuesday. I'm pleased with that.
