Welcome @Oldtiger, well done on your loss. No idea about Thai or Indian. But there was advice to stay away from coconut on Thai food at class x

Thanks Groovee. Well in the end we had prawn pad Thai and chicken massaman ( I didn’t have too much sauce 😂) and I had 3 prawn crackers. It was yummy!
Off for a 3 mile run later as it’s a nice day

OwlinaTree · 20/10/2018 10:05

Hi all, glad the holiday went well groovee. I always feel a bit bleugh after holidays now if I've eat too much crap, but a couple of days healthy eating sorts me out.

Went out out last night with DH and sir friend for the first time in ages. Such a fun night. Had vodka/gin with low cal mixers mainly and a nice meal that was off plan. Resisted the chips at the end of the night but did have a bit of cake! Was so nice to be out and dancing on a Friday.

OwlinaTree · 20/10/2018 10:06

old I love massuman curry, good choice.

Groovee · 20/10/2018 12:23

Sounds like a good night @OwlinaTree

Big food shop done. Trying Mexican chicken pasta tonight from the eat more for less book.

Brunch today was 3 Lm sausages
2 eggs, tomatoes and beans and HEB was wm bread

Dinner was cooked by ds and was a Thai green chicken curry.
Was delicious but I only had a tiny bit of sauce, no starters, lots of salad and rice.

sunshineNdaisies · 21/10/2018 08:23

My first STS this week. I'm gutted, although I knew all week it wasn't going to be a good weigh in. I made a few bad choices (eg crisps - didn't realise how high in syns they are) but did try an exercise class to minimise the effect on the scales.

I am going to be more mindful of what I eat next week and try to fit in even more exercise.

I need cheering up :(

OwlinaTree · 21/10/2018 09:43

Boo STS is always crap. At least you know why, the mysterious STS is even worse!

Tried the Morrisons fish cakes last night. Omg, so lovely, couldn't believe they were only 2syns! Thanks for the tip calzone

Calzone · 21/10/2018 13:00

They are delicious aren’t they Owlina?

Lunch today was syn free pasta carbonara with vegetables and chicken.

Remember it's a journey not a race. I've had weeks where there has been no reason for an unexpected gain but I find that remaining focused got me through. A few times remaining the same despite being good but looking back realising that I'd had a big loss for me the week before. You're still so many pounds down from where you were.

Realised yesterday that it's been 7 months at Target. Quite proud of myself for that. I might not be as light as I should be but I feel comfortable. Just find this time of year tough as we have our wedding anniversary l, Ds is 16 next week, then the Christmas nights out start as well as mine and dh having birthdays and my dad is 75 this year too in Dec. Hoping I can get to the bottom of target for the end of November.

I've had a mixed weekend, been ok food wise but ended up having a bottle of wine and some nachos last night. Hopefully won't have too much of an effect on my loss this week.

Cherrypi · 21/10/2018 17:54

Laurenorder how did you make your pumpkin porridge please? Drank a lot of wine at a wedding this week so expecting a gain.

ToddlerTamerMumma · 22/10/2018 12:58

Following...

Can I join please!

Been faffing around with SW for the past 2 months, but have done it properly plenty of times before (extra easy). I need to lose 1 stone exactly. I was meal planning like a boss and lost 4lbs in my first week...however, work then went mental plus I got sick and for the past 3 weeks I've been 100% off plan and I'm now back where I started.

So...need people to keep me accountable please! 9 weeks until Christmas and it would be the best present ever if I could lose it by NYE.

Groovee · 22/10/2018 14:43

Welcome @ToddlerTamerMumma

Back at work today. Had a course this morning and have another one later 😩. Back to full normality tomorrow.

Hello can I join please? I signed up for the 12 week plan last week and have my first weigh in on Wednesday, really nervous! Loving the food so far and haven’t felt particularly hungry so I hope it works!

Calzone · 22/10/2018 20:35

@cherrypi

Can of pumpkin purée from Waitrose but I only use half.

Cook 40g porridge oats with water and add cinnamon and sweetener.
Stir in purée and warm through.

Add extra cinnamon if needed.

Groovee · 23/10/2018 05:51

Welcome @Megsmcgoo x

Weigh in tonight. Just dreamt that I had a massive out of target weigh in 😱

OP posts:
Cherrypi · 23/10/2018 07:33

Ah thanks might try that. Just want to eat chocolate and cake at the moment. Think I’ll have to go cold turkey for a bit break the addiction.

Groovee · 23/10/2018 12:37

Cherrypi that sounds like me!

OP posts:
Groovee · 23/10/2018 17:28

Gained 3lb. Only 0.5lb above target

Calzone · 23/10/2018 20:27

Well done Groovee.

I lost 4lb on my new week 1.....

Came home to on plan sausages, chips and beans.

OwlinaTree · 23/10/2018 21:29

That's not bad for a holiday groovee! Well done calzone.

Tobermory · 23/10/2018 22:23

Weigh in today, 2.5 lb today which took me to my 1 and a half stone and also got my 10% award. Can’t make class and weigh in next week as we’re away. On the plus side it should be a very active week, cycling and walking but on the negative, booze and need to make good choices so I have to be careful.

At class today someone mentioned eating a mini mars bar , I was almost salivating when she was talking!!!

Cherrypi · 24/10/2018 08:47

Well done groovee. One and a half off this week. Pleased with that. Not sure I deserved it. New cook book looks good. Determined to actually cook something from this one.

ALemonyPea · 24/10/2018 09:11

Well done losers
