2lbs more lost this week. I've gone from the 16 stone bracket and I'm now in the 14 stone bracket.

Groovee · 07/10/2018 18:06

Well done @sunshineNdaisies

Been craving a hot cross bun. So have made hot cross baked oats. They smell fab.

I found choc shot at the weekend Grin

... how can I use it? What are your top - tried and tested - recipes?

Groovee · 09/10/2018 06:58

I drizzle it over my waffles. Melt a teaspoon into hot milk for hot chocolate. Use it in quark to make a cheesecake. Mix into a vanilla yoghurt then put in moulds and freeze to make yoghurt bites.

Peachypips, your food looks ok to me. Do you manage to drink plenty throughout the day? I'm a slow loser too so I sympathise with your frustration. Like you, I like the eating plan of SW and find it works for us as a family. Years ago I did Weight Watchers where I lost weight quicker but I found it more restrictive and ultimately wasn't sustainable.
I didn't go to group yesterday as I was travelling back from our caravan. First group I've missed in nearly 12 months. Going to plan the next 3 days food to keep myself on track.

Groovee · 09/10/2018 18:26

Lost half a pound. So at the bottom of target for my holiday 🎉🎉

Well done groovee

Tobermory · 09/10/2018 22:27

Well done groovee

Quark with cheesecake , that grabs my attention.
I’m 6-I think- weeks in and I’ve not yet tried Quark. That might be this weekends adventure! Smile
4 down for me today. That’s my payout for a measly 1.5 last week afterAF arrival and beong completely ‘on it’.

I don’t have a proper target. Don’t realky know what big - small- number to aim for . New interim target of another stone.

Groovee · 10/10/2018 04:44

I use grapenuts as a base. Usually 20g. Then mix quark with some sweetener, some flavouring such as vanilla essence or caramel, or choc shot. Then top the grape nuts with the cheesecake and leave for as long as possible in the fridge. I often top with a hifi hat for my full HEB.

Sounds lush groovee. Well done tobermory

Tobermory · 11/10/2018 17:04

Do Aldi do a version of grape nuts? Looked today... but didn’t really know what I was looking for!

Groovee · 11/10/2018 17:10

Not aware of Aldi doing them.

Back on it, took a little longer for my colitis flare to calm down. Can only really eat cheese, crackers and white bread with butter when I have one. Such a hard life. Inevitable gain over the two weeks, but hopefully I’ll be ok. Not meant to have loads of fruit and veg, especially raw veg, it’s really hard to think of things to eat. Can’t have lentils anymore, so soups are tricky as usually use them as a base.

Tobermory · 13/10/2018 19:34

Lemony, glad you’re feeling better.
I’m not creative enough to come up with a low syn menu based on white bread and butter and cheese! Tell em if you found one tho Grin

What about fish?
Baked beans?

ALemonyPea · 13/10/2018 19:44

Oh I’m no longer on the cheese and bread diet. I’m able to eat healthier stuff again, will see how long I last though.

ALemonyPea · 14/10/2018 18:50

SP day = cheese and onion toastie for tea. Mmmmmmm

Tobermory · 14/10/2018 19:25

Lemony, ‘cheese and onion toastie ’ Sounds suspiciously similar to a cheese and bread diet to me Grin

ALemonyPea · 14/10/2018 19:56

😁 but it has onion in it for speed, so technically a SW meal

Groovee · 14/10/2018 20:04

I'm in holiday mode. Expecting a huge gain after my break to Budapest 🙈🙈
