Trying the Mexican chicken stew from the take 5 book. Have added carrots and mushrooms in and hoping that it's not too bad for my reflux with the peppers.

Sounds yummy Groovee.

Welcome back December.

Tobermory · 25/09/2018 18:19

Just weighed in. Down 3 and a half, very pleased with that! If I can do at least 1.5 lb next week then that’s my first stone .

Had a couple of chips from my DDs then came to my senses!

sunshineNdaisies · 25/09/2018 19:41

For pudding, try a skinny bakery doughnut, heated very quickly in the microwave for like 5 seconds, on top of low syn ice cream. If you have about 2 scoops plus the doughnut you're looking at around 5/6 syns. All depends on the ice cream you use of course

I need to take more instagram photos lol

I've lost 15lbs in about 6 weeks now. Still got about 3 stone to lose though. I have my eye on a particular dress for the xmas lunch although technically no one dresses up but I want a wow moment.

NSV - I've ordered my favourite jeggings in a size down as my current ones keep falling down! So I seem to have gone from a 20 to an 18! I'd like to be a 14 at the most so a few stone to go.

Groovee · 25/09/2018 19:55

Gained 1.5lbs. Went to the loo today and realised I have symptoms of my period. My food has been ok. So can only be that really. Plus different scales last week.

ALemonyPea · 25/09/2018 20:01

Oh I forgot about the skinny bakery. Will have a look, thanks.

Well done Tobermory. Commiserations Groovee, hopefully it’ll show next week.

Oldowl · 25/09/2018 21:16

I have worked hard this week to get back within target.

Was 1lb within this morning; weighed myself before going to group this evening, 0.5lb under... then put my lightest clothes on and was a pound over. Barr going to group in the nude (LOL), I would be over. So I had my tea instead and watch Pointless!

DD's 18th birthday this weekend. Family afternoon tea one day, 40 girls over for an evening BBQ the next. Getting back to target is not going to happen anytime soon!

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2018 23:07

Went to weigh in. Half a measly lb off! Really annoying, have stuck to it really well this week.

Half a lb to go now to get back to target range. I'm considering changing to the later class, it's 7:30 so I could go when the kids are in bed. At the moment they have to come with me and it's not much fun for them. Dunno though, it would mean a very late tea or going after food so would take even longer to get back into the target range.

Tobermory · 25/09/2018 23:11

Skinny bakery, I’ll take a look!

Cherrypi · 26/09/2018 10:42

Binfield135 · 26/09/2018 11:34

Down 2lbs today which I'm very happy about. Good idea on food diary, that helped me a lot the past week & was why I lost this week.

OwlinaTree · 26/09/2018 22:45

I have sinusitis and the start of a chest infection 😭. No appetite but am eating to take my antibiotics. Hoping it doesn't affect my 100% week.

OP posts:
OwlinaTree · 27/09/2018 22:54

Oh boo groovee, sounds really miserable. Glad you've got the antibiotics.

ALemonyPea · 28/09/2018 10:45

1.5 off this week

Hope you’re feeling better soon Groovee.

OwlinaTree · 28/09/2018 22:31

Well done lemony

sunshineNdaisies · 29/09/2018 08:20

get well soon groovee

I need some tea ideas please, quick and easy, no faffing about with recipes. We're falling into the trap of eating the same things most week - skinny burgers, stir fries, sometimes fish, sometimes omelettes, lots of soup. What else can we eat?

I don't like pasta or pizza, DH doesn't like eggs, nuts, fish or anything with a visible bone. DD doesn't like veggies (I'm not a big veg fan myself either)

When I come home from work, I want something quick and easy. Please give some suggestions!

Groovee · 29/09/2018 11:14

The quick vegetable risotto from the SW website with speedy chicken jambalaya are quick and you would be able to adapt to your preferences. They go down well and take less than 30 minutes. They were a good choice last year when I started as I was working til 4pm and was tired when I got in so were a quick easy way.

You could do cheeseburger pasta too but quorum mince?

I met a friend at M & S today and we had lunch in the café. I chose jacket potato with tuna & sweetcorn for 8.5 syns. I didn't have lemon drizzle cake & so glad I didn't, having discovered it's 16.5 syns per serving!
We have some popcorn at the ready for watching Strictly this evening.

Groovee · 29/09/2018 19:04

Enjoy strictly @latedecember1963

I've lost 2 1/2 lbs this week so I'm happy. I've prepared 3 days worth of pasta salad and fruit salad so if I get a call for work I won't end up eating high syn foods at lunchtime.

Our consultant got us to work in groups to come up with a syn free mid week tea. Most of us came up with fairly run of the mill ideas but it made a change from going round each person's week. I wonder if your consultant would do this, SunshineNdaisies.

Hope you're feeling better, Groovee. Sinusitis is miserable!
Hope everyone has a good week.

JaceLancs · 01/10/2018 15:55

Struggling at moment as on holiday
Coffee n fruit for breakfast
Salads n cold meat, eggs, tuna for lunch
Evening meals harder to get in enough speed and everything is cooked in oils etc
Drinking far too much too
Trying to avoid desserts n ice creams and walking and swimming lots but am feeling very bloated and off plan partly due to the heat

JaceLancs · 01/10/2018 15:58

Just had tapas lunch of grilled prawns, mixed salad and barbecued pork it came with chips but only ate a handful
It’s the 2 glasses of red wine and the coffee with brandy that followed that’s the problem
Need to find a healthy option for tonight - maybe sushi

Groovee · 01/10/2018 16:45

Thanks @latedecember1963 and well done. Feeling better but so tired now. I always get that fatigue after being ill.

Making burger in a bowl tonight. Am slowly getting my appetite back. Who knows how weigh in will be tomorrow.

@JaceLancs are you away on holiday or at home?
