It was the other group members who got me through. Wasn't surprised when mine moved away.

A few months back saw someone having a moan on fb on one of the groups and a lot sounded familiar. Clicked on the persons profile and saw they lived in the area that the old consultant had moved to.

The new consultant is very encouraging to everyone and has been a great support for me.

The only reason I stuck it out was I had made some friends who were a great support.

I think if I didn't have a good group, I'd have packed it in long ago. To be honest, I still feel like packing it in most of the time but I'd miss my group too much saddo

Groovee · 22/09/2018 20:55

Haha @raisedbyguineapigs that's why I still go every week.

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I may have commented on this thread before but I can't remember!

I have nearly reached target but I am really struggling to stick to the plan. I have a good week and I feel really good and then I always sabotage it it the next week and put on again. This has been happening for months now. Up and down constantly.

What can I do? I sometimes over eat on Syns so I go hungry for the rest of the day and this is what is keeping my weight down. Then I get hungry and over eat again and I put weight on.

Why can't I stick to plan? I think I have a real issue with food.

I currently feel sick from eating loads of flap Jack I made with the kids.

I lost 2.5 lbs last Wednesday. I weighed myself this morning and it looks like that have gone back up again (although my home scales have never been consecutive with the SW scales)

I feel I am in a real predicament! Anyone got any advice? Or been in the same situation?

Lots of people in my group use the FB group for help and inspiration but I am not on FB and don't want to join.

Could I join you guys please?

Maybe somewhere I can post my food diary/scream for help when I get in over my head!

Well done to you all as well. Sounds like you are all doing great.

I got into this mess over many years of binge eating. I know it's not going to change back to normal quickly!

I started at 10st.11lbs
Currently 9st.11lbs
Stuck around this area bobbing up and down by 2 lbs each week. The lowest I have been on SW was 9st 9lbs. My target is 9st 6lbs. I seem to self sabatage as I get close to target!

Sorry for the long post!

Groovee · 23/09/2018 15:10

How do you plan your meals? What sort of things do you like to eat? I find that I need to be strict with myself or else it's easy to go off plan.

It took me about 10 weeks to lose 8lb to get to target. My body just didn't want to lose it.

Hi everyone 👋

Got my old sw books out this weekend aa I've been eating really badly lately and want to shift the extra pounds that have crept on plus some more. Grateful for any hint and tips, and help to stay away from the chocolate! 😁

First day:
L-2 eggs on toast with marmite (heb)
D-home made beef and veg chilli with rice, topped with cheese (hea)
S-apple, options hot choc (2syns)

Hope you're all having a fab Sunday Grin

Groovee · 23/09/2018 17:39

Welcome @MuddyElephant

Cucumber, I was the same when I got to target. Once you get there, the struggle is hard. You need to find the balance, a few biscuits here and there are ok, if you have no treats the next day to counterbalance the calories.

Can anyone recommend a ready made pudding for 5-10syns that’s nice? Fed up with not having a nice Sunday pudding. I made baileys cheesecake for everyone today, didn’t have any.

Tobermory · 23/09/2018 23:02

Went shopping today, mainly for things for DDs
Tried on a couple of things in the size below, they were snug but they fit. Feeling really motivated and visualising me in new clothes. I’m not buying anything for a while, but just the idea that I might look better in these clothes soon is a great feeling.
Went to the cinema with my DD and was exceedingly good with my box of grapes! Then went out for a meal, and made great choices , steak and salad, new potatoes no butter. People around me had deep fried Brie, massive Yorkshire puddings but I felt strangely resolute when choosing.Smile

ALemonyPea · 23/09/2018 23:19

Way to go Tobermory!

OwlinaTree · 23/09/2018 23:27

Well done tobermory.

Lemony not quite ready made but meringue nests are pretty low, could you have one of those with some fruit and a bit of ice cream? You could do that for under 10 syns.

OwlinaTree · 23/09/2018 23:37

Today's food

B tomato mushroom cheese omlette, shreddies and wheetos with fruit and yoghurt (5 syns)
L jacket with beans and salad, cappacino
S ryvita with cottage cheese and pickle (1 syn)
D chicken, roasties, veg, gravy (2 syns?)
S Muller light, freddo (6 syns)

So just under on syns. Had a very virtuous weekend, hoping for that 2lb off this week! Get back into target range!

ALemonyPea · 24/09/2018 18:35

Thanks owl, I’m a bit fed up with meringues. Was hoping for something majestic and tasty. Nothing fits that bill that’s lowish syns.

iamyourequal · 24/09/2018 19:41

Hi Givemeallyourcucumber Sorry to heat you are struggling so close to target. I joined 3 weeks ago and don’t have much to lose. I’ve only lost 5lb but that’s 2lb, 1.5lb, 1.5lb so I am happy with that. My suggestions to help you (as not many others have posted tips for you). are 1. Plan the full next day’s eating before it arrives and write down/put on the app. 2. Never rely on willpower- I baked with my DD today. We made iced fairy cakes as I knew I could resist them. There is no way I could have resisted flapjacks so wouldn’t attempt that. 3. Fill up on lots of speed foods the days your resolve is week. If you have time to batch-make vegetable soup that’s good for this. I think it’s when I get starving hungry it goes wrong (that and the wine!). Good luck.

iamyourequal · 24/09/2018 19:45

Hi ALemonyPea I don’t eat dessert while dieting, but raspberries are fab at this time of your. What about one of those desserts where you top the ripe fruit with thick Greek yoghurt, chill then sprinkle brown sugar over and grill until it melts. I make that for family and they love it. You would only need to syn the sugar.

MuddyElephant · 24/09/2018 20:45

Thanks @Groovee and well done @tobermory. I may have eaten one too many biscuits today Blush. Quick question, do you have to use your healthy extras each day?

Groovee · 24/09/2018 21:30

Blitz up porridge oats and make baked oats in a ramekin. I often find it comes out like a cake x

OP posts:
Tobermory · 24/09/2018 21:47

Groovee, when you’ve baked the oas do you put something on top?

Tobermory · 24/09/2018 21:49

That should read....Baked the oats! Ive run out of hi-fi bars so reading about your baked oat cakes and salivating!!Grin

Groovee · 24/09/2018 21:58

I use my oats with 1 egg, 90g of yoghurt and some vanilla or caramel free flavouring and bake for 30 mins.

Turn them out then I mix quark with some sweetener and serve on the side with some frozen berries.

OP posts:
Tobermory · 24/09/2018 22:11

They sound good! I might try them later this week. Vanilla flavouring.... just regular vanilla essence?

Groovee · 24/09/2018 22:29

Yes or skinny syrup

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 25/09/2018 06:43

I do like baked oats. I add lemon essence in sometimes, or ginger root.

Hello everyone, I used to post on this thread but fell out of the habit. Found myself clicking on the thread this morning and seeing several familiar names made me realise how much I've missed it. I've pretty much maintained over the summer but now I need to get into losing again.
