Well done @Flutterby81

Good luck @00alwaysbusymum, a few of us turned 40 last year on the thread. I was 4 stone lighter by my birthday and it felt great.

I'm feeling poorly this morning. Really bad chesty cough. Not really hungry either. Just going to chill. The teens aren't back to school until tomorrow.

Quark, I mix some sweetener in and eat it as a snack. Use some grape nuts on the bottom for a base then mix the quark with some sweetener, vanilla essence and choc shot. Top the grape nuts and pop in the fridge over night. Top with fruit in the morning and you have a cheesecake for breakfast x

Hope you feel better soon Groovee

latedecember1963 · 08/01/2018 12:51

I sometimes swirl a spoonful of quark into homemade soup.
If you whisk a couple of eggs into quark it makes a good topping for mousaka or pasta bake.

Have lost 1 1/2 lbs at WI this morning. My next target is to lose another half stone before the caravan season begins at the beginning of March.

Hope everyone has a good week!

susurration · 08/01/2018 13:08

Morning guys. @groovee sorry you feel poorly!

Well done to all who have lost this week. Did an unofficial weigh in this morning and am down 3lbs from last week.

Had a very naughty day on Saturday, we went to the garden centre and used a free voucher I got for tea and cake I was given for my birthday, and then we had to jump start my car so by the time we had done that it was very late and we ended up finishing off the christmas cheese and crackers. It ended up at 47 syns for the day!

Back on plan yesterday and today though. Last night we went to the cinema and sneaked in a 27g bag of the aldi sweet and salted popcorn each for 5.5 syns. Felt very saintly compared to the people around us!

00alwaysbusymum · 08/01/2018 16:40

Can I ask what people tend to lose on average a week and if you stick use all your syns?

I tend to only use my syns for salad dressing or mayo, and 1 mug options hot choc every night

susurration · 08/01/2018 17:28

I don't use all my syns every day. When I did SW last year I was losing about 2lbs a week.

caremummy · 08/01/2018 20:36

2lb off this week (and a half) Grin
Don't know why as only 100% today. Aiming to be really tight on this week, as don't want what I actually ate catching up with me.
Aiming for a 1lb next Monday.
Discovered my fave soya yoghurt(alpro plain with coconut). 2 syns for a massive pot which does me 3x overnight oats.
B/L: overnight oats with raspberry and banana and some sugar free vanilla syrup (2/3 of a syn Wink)
T: Brown rice, sweet potato wedges, rocket and korma sauce (allowing 6 syns, could be more but I watered it down and no more syns today) = Lush, my favourite tea at uni, going to work some more protein in to it though
same overnight oats with apple instead of banana (speed Grin) in the fridge for tomorrow and a packed lunch of brown rice, rocket, asparagus, peas, rocket and baked tofu for my first lecture of this year.
Drinking Schweppes diet lemonade which is the nicest diet one I've tried. Also had a pepsi max.
Now to massively clean my room

Groovee · 08/01/2018 21:13

Thanks ladies. Have slept most of the day and feeling better.

Last year over 51 weeks I lost on average 1.3lb a week or something like that. Some weeks it was half a pound other weeks were 3lb. I didn't really have a steady weekly loss but it's stayed off so far.

Weigh in tomorrow and meet the new consultant. Looking forward to it x

Thegrandoldelf · 08/01/2018 22:57

I did my first weigh in today and I've lost 5lb which I'm both surprised and pleased by. Realistically I know it's just my body's reaction to not being constantly fed croissants, cake, chocolate and cheese which were my main staples over Christmas. I'm slowly resetting my hunger levels so hopefully by next week I'll have got into a decent rhythm.
B - overnight oats made with Skyr and full fat yoghurt
L - Babybel, Parma ham and cherry tomatoes
T - chicken pie and peas. I used mash for the topping rather than pastry, DH was disappointingly underwhelmed when I told him I'd put egg in the mash rather than butter or milk
'Extras' - 6 breadsticks, 2 squares of dark chocolate, 3 chocolate praline shells, 5 Smarties Blush
I'm not very good when it comes to snacking...

OwlinaTree · 08/01/2018 23:18

Hi all, some good tips today on quark use. I've not tried it yet, maybe I'll give it a go.

Weigh in for me tomorrow. Unofficial weigh in this am put me at a gain of 5.5lb since before Xmas, so unless I lose 2.5lb overnight I'll be out of target range! Will I have to pay or do I get a week to lose a bit more?

caremummy · 08/01/2018 23:38

I think you get a week's 'grace' to get back to target

OwlinaTree · 09/01/2018 06:49

Thanks. As it is I might not make it as dh is out tonight.

Groovee · 09/01/2018 06:58

You get a week's grace @OwlinaTree

Back to school for the children.

OwlinaTree · 09/01/2018 07:26

Thanks groovee. Technically I could go tonight and take the kids but as it's the new year there will be loads of new people and I'm thinking it might take a while!

mommytoboo86 · 09/01/2018 10:41

well I feel bummed I was going to start group yesterday but some fucking bastard took money out of my bank so I didn't have the £5 weekly fee just my free membership voucher so now can't go until next Monday (or beg daddy dearest to lend me £5 and go to a different group at the same place on thursday).
I really want to make a start but i don't have scales and selfishly don't want to lose weight before my first weigh in and then not have the bigger results on second weigh in (I lost 8lb my first week last time and watching those numbers go down was what motivated me to keep going until I had to stop going.

MyCatSydney · 09/01/2018 14:26

Hi! Has anyone got to target by following the plan and not going to group but using this support board? I am broke so don’t have the money to go back to group.

Ellieboolou27 · 09/01/2018 15:16

Hi can I join you all? 13st 7 and ideally would love to get to 10st, im only 5ft 4 so need at least 3 stone off, lost 5st using ww many years ago, now in my 40's and fattest I've been in years.
I just love eating
I'm going to do the plan from home as I actually hate the meetings, starting tomorrow and planning / cooking tonight for the next few days.

All your posts are so motivational, especially the photos (food ones too) Grin

theotherendofthesockportal · 09/01/2018 15:40

Ok I admit it, I'm chocolate fiend and I disgust myself. What can I have to satisfy my chocolate cravings? I've eaten another box of Christmas chocolates, although thankfully this is the last one so it can't happen again.

00alwaysbusymum · 09/01/2018 16:23

Hi ellieboo we have a similar weight and target - I'm 13 3.5 and would love to be 10st

Petaldrops · 09/01/2018 19:13

Haven't posted all week but been reading all your posts had an ok week food wise and I've added exercise this year which I haven't done before so hoping it'll help me get to target.

Ellieboolou27 · 09/01/2018 19:25

00always yay let's try and get there! This time last year I was 12.4 now I'd be glad to be in the 12's.

My mini target is to be in the 12's by the end of Jan, so 3 weeks to lose 7lb, usually have a biggish loss the first week, or I'm hoping it to be Grin

loverofcake983 · 09/01/2018 19:35

Can I join? I'm over 13 stone 🤦🏼‍♀️ and only 5'2 ( if that) need some help and motivation.

Oly5 · 09/01/2018 20:18

First week’s weigh in and I’ve lost 3lb. Was hoping for a bit more but I’m breastfeeding and they make you eat loads extra. Have also not skimped on the carbs! Smile Current weight is 13st 6, aiming for 10st 10

ibuiltahomeforyou · 09/01/2018 22:10

I lost -3.5lbs this week! 2st 10 in total and now weigh 8 stone 11, I'm thrilled as it's the lightest I've been for 10 years!
