Does anyone know the syn value of a 27g oats so simple sachet. If it can be used as your healthy 'b' option can you not have any bread that day ?. Or have some and count the syns? Ive been having this each morning for breakfast and not considered the syn value Shock

didireallysaythat · 15/02/2018 23:40

boats 16 oats so simple 28g is 4.5 syns according to the app. Some of the other oats satchets show as healthy options.

Groovee · 16/02/2018 05:15

Oats so simple big bowl is the HEB. You would be best syning your porridge for 4.5 syns and having bread as your HEB.

cheers .thanks [did really say that] and [groovee] . Just weighrd in and stayed the same. So not chuffed. I always go on a spiral of 'all that effort wasted ' Sad.

boats16 · 16/02/2018 07:52

Am I eating too much. I thought you could eat as much a you wanted [until satisfied] as long as its free or you dont go over your syns. I have trimmed steak at weekend with a side salad and new potatoes but it is quite big.My partner thinks it's physics, you know too much food, but I am trying to follow [food optimising].I like eggs, and eat quite a lot but have now been told they are fattening.

raisedbyguineapigs · 16/02/2018 08:05

You should be eating until satisfied. That dinner should be fine. I think you should have the salad on the plate so they you don't fill the plate with potatoes though!

boats16 · 16/02/2018 08:54

Thanks .I do though.I have steak, 1/2 plate salad and about 3 new potatoes (cut in half so it looks like 6 ) Confused

raisedbyguineapigs · 16/02/2018 09:06

That's not too much food at all! Half a plate of salad will have hardly any calories!

Groovee · 16/02/2018 09:41

Sounds fine. My friend's hubby kept telling her that she was eating too much when she started and he was really surprised at how good the food is and how much weight she has lost x

Haven't read full thread so sorry if this has been asked before. Is anyone here a vegan and following SW? Thanks :)

Groovee · 16/02/2018 17:09

Welcome @obrigada I'm not vegan.

Tried the new Chinese Banquet rice. Was tasty but would bin the omelette next time.

Theres a vegan in my group. She's quite a new vegan though so I'm not sure how she's finding it. It's a low fat diet based on veg and pulses so I think it should be doable.

PollyPotterer · 16/02/2018 20:15

Hi. Rejoined group yesterday.
2st 3.5lbs to lose.
Could kick myself for giving up a year ago 4st down and only half a stone to go. Ah well.

MumInTheCity · 16/02/2018 21:14

B - 2 satsumas
L - leftover Pepsi max chicken and rice
D - bolognese (no pasta) with salad and cheese (HEA)
S - nothing. I have my boozy brunch tomorrow so haven't used any syns today to try and limit the damage that tomorrow may cause!

ALemonyPea · 16/02/2018 21:48

Had a great day today, took dc to McDonald’s and had a Coke zero whilst they had burgers 😇

FabulousUsername · 17/02/2018 08:06

I think that the beauty of SW is that you can tailor it to your specific needs, vegan might be possible and long term you can add more nuts. This is such a change for me as I was (happily) low carbing before, but not losing weight. SW seems more sustainable than low carbing and I've done more cooking in the past 5 days than I did all of January, nice wholesome meals! I just hope the scales show a good loss as I need to be reassured that it works but reading about the great losses others have had gives me confidence. Some in the group had lost many stones, impressive!

twizzr · 17/02/2018 08:57

I tried an Aldi Spicy Moroccan vegetable stew for supper, don't know about syns but it will definitely reduce your weight, by blowing your bum off in the morning. ..
down 8lbs in 17 days

Groovee · 17/02/2018 17:57

Been into town with Dd. Hit Nando's for an 8.5 syn lunch with frozen yoghurt. Very yummy. Lots of steps walked too.

Made spaghetti and meatballs and making it into a pasta bake for tea with a salad.

Fingers crossed I get a loss this week x

MyGuideJools · 17/02/2018 18:45

fingers crossed groovee I'm doing steak, jacket spud and salad tonight, with great big fruit salad with a couple of mini meringue for pud.
After last weeks good loss I've had a couple of bad days pancakes and chips
so I've been extra good today and yesterday.
Tried quark with blueberries and honey yesterday, was lovely and also filling.

Testarossa1 · 17/02/2018 20:36

Not had a good day. Stuffed up with a cold and have barely moved off the sofa. I had some soup for lunch and some pasta and veg for tea. No protein at all. Plus I had a bag of crisps this afternoon as I just really fancied them and feeling so crap I had no will power to stop myself. Took me to 15.5syns over the day. I usually have around 10 or 11 syns. Hoping I can be good tomorrow as weigh in is monday, and don't think I've had a good week so expecting a gain Sad.

boats16 · 17/02/2018 20:45

Cheer up Testarossa you cant help being ill. I hope you lose Monday.

I stayed the same this week and am still down about it. I cant see why.Just keep going over and over it and to make matters worse my husband took off 2lb and he drinks full coke and munches on mars ice creams ! Sad

Testarossa1 · 17/02/2018 21:12

This is the first time I've felt a bit miserable about the whole sw thing, have been really positive up till the last few days. Putting it down to feeling poorly, last few days have been tough hoping once I feel better I'll get that positivity back. Thinking of making some lasagne crisps tomorrow, I know they are classed as a 'tweak' but got to be better than a bag of proper crisps.

Groovee · 17/02/2018 21:14

Hope you feel better soon @Testarossa1.

I'm so tired after today! I'm ready for bed x

Testarossa1 · 17/02/2018 21:18

I'm already in bed, with a Lemsip. Oh the glamour.......

Tweetypie30 · 17/02/2018 21:32

I'm 2lbs off my first stone award and I'm beginning to feel better about myself and more confident in my clothes. Just had a look at a photo of myself taken today and I could cry. I look so big. Still a long way to go. It's my face that upsets me the most. I've got a big double chin Sad
