Mollie85 · 03/02/2018 20:10

“Star week” arrived yesterday (I weigh on Monday) so expecting a gain despite being on plan all week and increasing my speed foods to half my plate Confused

At least next week I can start again and hopefully get a good loss for the 12th....Halo

Groovee · 03/02/2018 20:18

Went to the cinema to see the greatest showman. Was brilliant. Dd had the biggest popcorn ever. I took fruit and sun bites popcorn.

Made fajitas for dinner.

It's the TOTM even though I get little bleeding now, I am so windy! My stomach feels huge!

The greatest showman is fab! I had to buy the CD afterwards and have it blasting in my car.
I'm quite relieved to be eating fruit again instead of crapSmile

MyGuideJools · 04/02/2018 10:10

Getting ready for full on 100% on plan from tomorrow. I think I'm up to date with everything.
I understand Bluberries are now speed Hmm(why can't it be mango? I love mango!)
And are mugshots now synned? I sometimes take one to work on a 12 hour shift to have at tea time. How many syns are they?
Anything else changed?
TIA 🍉

Groovee · 04/02/2018 12:16

Yes they are synned now @MyGuideJools

Do you have to syn the milk used in the pasta n sauce or used it from HEA?

MyGuideJools · 04/02/2018 12:41

thanks grovee that's really helpful
I only like the tomato and herb flavour, gone from 0 to 2 synsHmm

MyGuideJools · 04/02/2018 13:28

sorry, another question!
I know the HiFi bars are available in class, but can they be bought with online membership too?
I find them ideal if I'm craving chocolate, and much nicer and more satisfying than alpen bars.

1haudyerwheesht · 04/02/2018 13:33

@MyGuideJools - I saw them on the online shop Smile

MyGuideJools · 04/02/2018 13:36

thanks!

Groovee · 04/02/2018 13:49

@1haudyerwheesht I used just water. But it would either be synned or taken from your allowance.

I might use just water then stir in the fat free fromage frais. That could work.

Testarossa1 · 04/02/2018 14:02

None of the Quaker Oats pots have HE (healthy extra) next to them on the website.

Have eaten homemade soup for every lunch this week, so hoping for a loss at weigh in tomorrow. Been really good all week!

Mollie85 · 04/02/2018 15:57

Good luck to all of us weighing in tomorrow. Can I get a little TMI amd ask what peoples experiences have been with weight loss on "star week"? Dreading tomorrow...hoping I've not put on....

Groovee · 04/02/2018 17:54

@Mollie85 I was on the mini pill when I started. No issues at all despite bleeding every day for 6 months. Then since then I gain between 0.5-1.5lbs every 4 weeks. Does my head in.

@Testarossa1 I am hoping that homemade soup for lunch is the key to significant loss as I have made an enormous pan of spiced carrot and lentil soup. I work in a charity shop, and we have a microwave in the back office, so the delicate perfume of cumin may waft over the customers as they browse.

Mollie85 · 04/02/2018 19:42

Grovee thanks for answering Smile

Im going to just "suck it up". I'll be delighted if I've maintained, but disappointed if I've gained - I'm exactly on a stone at the moment...

I don't always gain on 'star week' but I definitely don't lose as much as I normally would.

Today's food:
B - banana
L - jacket potato, tuna, mayo and salad (3 syns)
D - spaghetti bolognese with extra veg and Parmesan (HEA)
S - salted caramel fibre one bar (4 syns) and 2 hifis (HEB)

Mollie85 · 05/02/2018 05:58

No loss Sad
But no gain Smile

I normally put on between three to six pounds around period so I suppose I can’t be upset with a maintain ....

It is annoying though Angry

Pipsqueak11 · 05/02/2018 08:07

Arghhh!!! How is it possible to put on 3 lb in ONE day?!!!!
On Saturday I was a bit relaxed about tracking . So I had half a Covent Garden soup for lunch 5.5 syns. Half a bagel 5.5 syns with salad and smoked salmon .
Went out for dinner in the evening and had a veg curry and half a nan plus 2 g and t .
In between has a bit of fruit and 2 biscuits when a pal came over for coffee . Not great I know but I had also been to the gym and done 5km on treadmill and swam for 30 mins . How can that have added up to 3 lb which is still there today ? Feeling v fed up . It's not period related as I'm post menopause. If it's going to be like this for the rest of my life- i.e. Pile it all back on when I deviate from plan on holiday or for the odd day I feel like giving up :((((

MyGuideJools · 05/02/2018 08:54

oh pipsqueek Brew it's tough. once put on 6lb overnight! Iweighed in at home, did a night shift then went straight to group and was 6lb heavierConfused
I've no answers but you have my sympathy.

MyGuideJools · 05/02/2018 09:02

Can someone talk to me about shop sandwiches please!
If I've used no Hexs or syns, surely a ham sarny isn't 22 syns!?
Ham=free
mayo/butter= 5 syns at most
I don't get why shop sarnies are so highConfused

Groovee · 05/02/2018 09:11

They usually use thicker bread but I have heard that you can deduct 6 syns if it's wholemeal towards your HEB.

To be honest when I worked in Greggs, we slapped on the butter, mayo would be slathered well too. So it's probably higher than we think.

@Pipsqueak11 try drinking lots of water as sometimes it's the salt content in the soup and curry which retains water. Flush it out.
