New to this thread. I have been on SW since November 2017. Weight loss has been very slow it’s almost pushing me to stop. I have only lost a total of 4lbs. My husband things I won’t be able to do it as am not disciplined enough. I want to prove him wrong but am not sure what am doing wrong. I just want to give up! Start weight was 11st 11 and am at 11.7.

raisedbyguineapigs · 27/01/2018 07:48

How tall are you? It could be that you don't have much to lose so its slower. Are you eating everything you're meant to? You have to east your healthy extras and some syns and not cut too much out.

latedecember1963 · 27/01/2018 10:49

Welcome to the thread, Znmke! Keep going, your weight is going down which means you're achieving your intention. I'm a slow loser too which can be frustrating at times but so long as the trend is down I'm happy.
You can do this!

Thank you for your positive replies.

Hello. Almost at the end of my third week and have found it nice and easy so far, however today I have had real sugar/carb cravings and I think "star week" is likely imminent. (E.g.For tea today I've had a bowl of new potatoes with salt (no butter))
I've bought some mini milks in case I am desperately in need of a "fix"... they're 1.5 syns each. I wondered if anyone had any tips for the carby, salty, chocolatey cravings?

Weight loss was 7lbs wk 1
3lbs last week
Next weigh in Monday.... 🙃

caremummy · 27/01/2018 19:52

This week has been very off plan. One of the worst star weeks I've had, resulting in a codeine prescription. Pushed WI back from Monday to Thursday and will get on it .5 good days should minimise the gain.
Then I've got 4 weeks to lose 4lbs. Think I'll buy a 12 weeker after that.
As long as I hit target by the 10th August

caremummy · 27/01/2018 20:15

Reading back through this thread is actually helping me to get focussed again. Thanks to you all ⭐️
Well done on the losses hoping I can be the same ❤️

MumInTheCity · 27/01/2018 23:00

I made a pizza using a WW wrap tonight - it was much nicer than I was expecting! I was worried it'd go soggy but it was lovely and crisp.

Joined SW on Tuesday. DId plan 16 yrs ago after the birth of my 2nd son, and kept weight off for many years, but am now 55 and going through menopause and have got fatter! Need to lose 1 and a half stone for sensible BMI and 2 stone for vanity! It is our silver wedding in June and I want to look good.

IvorHughJarrs · 27/01/2018 23:13

We had SW lasagne last night for tea, is that one portion? Our consultant said they are free so you can eat as much as you like but I don't think I could eat a full one and I have a big appetite. I was thinking back to Weight Watchers ready meals which are tiny and had the awful thought that the SW ones may be for a family!

Today has been an odd day for me as I haven't been at all hungry which feels weird. I had 2 Weetabix Protein and blueberries for breakfast, ham and melon at lunchtime (was out so grabbed mini packs at Sainsburys), watermelon mid-afternoon and Diet Coke chicken with stirfry veg and protein noodles followed by a Mullerlight for tea

caremummy · 27/01/2018 23:27

The WW wraps are much smaller than I expected and say 'large' in the packaging. Might try it when I'm back on

Vintage62 · 27/01/2018 23:34

@latedecember63 I have used your pantry items to write my SW shopping list. Thank you

Groovee · 28/01/2018 00:24

I've been poorly today. Had melon this morning. DH picked me up a subway salad. I made pinch of Nom's salt and pepper chicken.

DH has said he will do a toast tomorrow.

Flutterby81 · 28/01/2018 18:32

Nest not meat Grin

whatthelump · 28/01/2018 19:40

Been doing slimming world for almost 2 weeks. My husband is going to classes and I'm just doing it with him.

I haven't weighed myself as I tend to become obsessed with the number on the scale, but I'm starting to feel better. My hubby said he can see a difference already too - so it must be working?

I've made an agreement with myself that I'll stick to plan until the end of Feb. If I didn't feel I was loosing weight I'm gonna jump to calorie counting.

raisedbyguineapigs · 28/01/2018 19:46

Good luck Whatthelump I wish my DH would do SW with me instead of scoffing all my Hi Fi bars Grin
Ivor the SW ready meals are huge! I cant finish a curry one, especially with rice separate. Ive bought some lasagnes but I thought they looked a bit smaller. Does it taste nice?

calzone · 28/01/2018 20:35

The sw beef lasagne was gross.

Oly5 · 28/01/2018 21:29

We bought the SW curry book and love it.. so many tasty recipes!
Feel like I’ve eaten loads this week.. weigh in is Tues evening

Boatsonthewater · 28/01/2018 21:31

I am starting on Tuesday... dreading it as I hate slimming clubs but I need to do something. 3 stone to lose.

Testarossa1 · 28/01/2018 21:46

Weigh in number 3 tomorrow, hoping for at least a lb of as will make my half stone then. I've a dress in my wardrobe that before Christmas I couldn't even do up the zip. I've just tried it on again and I can now do it up all the way! I wouldn't go as far to say it's flattering (still a little snug!) but it actually does up! So good to see proof that sticking to plan works!

caremummy · 28/01/2018 22:58

Snacks:

Trying to do no more than 5 syns a day. WI Thursday hoping I can do this

calzone · 28/01/2018 23:03

Weighing blind is suiting me very much......

Plan for this week.....

Monday- porridge with fruit
Lentil soup
Gammon with sweet potato chips and salad

Tuesday- sausages and beans
Minestrone soup
Jacket potatoes with cheese and bacon filling and salad

Wednesday- Golden Bran with fruit and yoghurt
Minestrone soup
Turkey meatballs with spaghetti and broccoli

IvorHughJarrs · 28/01/2018 23:16

My consultant and others in the group rave about the SW beef lasagne. I didn't love it, it had that processed, sausagey taste about it, but it was fine and I would use it again on a night when I didn't have time to cook. I have the paella and a risotto in the freezer to try when needed

I got some HaloTop ice cream which is lovely. We had a sweet omelette with berries and a scoop of it after tea

Mollie85 · 29/01/2018 07:28

Week three weigh in and I’m a stone down!!! Grin

I’m really happy with that.
(Only another four to go, ahem) Confused

Good luck to all the Monday morning weighers...
