At the start of this thread you said you were aiming for target by Valentines Day. I wondered how far you were off Groovee.

You will do 6lb by then! You have kept me going with all you sage advice, photos of your delicious dinners and then/now photos. We will be with you every lb of the way to target. x

Hobbitwife001 · 24/01/2018 18:27

Hello everyone, lost three stone going through a horrible divorce, 2 years later I've put it all on again and a bit extra! Started back last Monday, doing ok so far, but have had bad headaches due to the sugar withdrawal, I just hope I get a few pounds off when I get weighed, it's so disheartening when you don't isn't it?

I am really determined this time though, watching your progress has given me some great tips, have read through the thread for inspiration.

Groovee · 24/01/2018 20:25

@Oldowl my slow start makes me think it will take a while. I think my body likes the weight I am at that it's not letting anymore go x

Made speedy chicken Jambalaya tonight. It was lovely x

Good luck Hobbitwife. You've done it before you know you can do it again Smile

MumInTheCity · 24/01/2018 21:31

B - banana and satsuma
L - steak, salad, yoghurt and Pineapple
D - Hawaiian pasta bake (mozzarella on top for HEA)
S - fruit and nut Hifi bar (HEB)

IvorHughJarrs · 24/01/2018 22:08

I have my first weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed.
I made a recipe from the weekend newspaper but SW'd it and made a great discovery. Chicken, veg, sweet potato chunks, curry spices and stock all cooked then I stirred in a couple of tablespoons of PB2 powder (low fat peanut butter powder) for 3 syns between 2 of us. It made it really thick and rich, not as nutty as satay but extremely nice and I will use it again. Served it with sliced banana and fat free natural yoghurt.

Testarossa1 · 25/01/2018 08:32

Good luck with your weigh in IvorHughJarrs!

Groovee · 25/01/2018 09:41

Joined 2 weeks ago, lost 5lb first week Smile then this week big fat zero Sad Really cheesed off but I know it was too much wine (and the odd bag of crisps) Need motivation please.....

Keehar256 · 25/01/2018 11:01

Don't make crustless quiche in a loose bottomed flan tin. Messy... Grin Grin

Lubilu28 · 25/01/2018 13:02

Keehar 5lbs in first week is fab well done!! And don’t worry to much about not losing this week it could just be your bad week! Keep at it and next week u could be seeing a big loss! I tend to have 1 or 2 weeks were I only lose 1/2lb or nothing and then the next week 4lbs off BOOM!!!

Put a line over the wine and crisps and just start writing everything down, that always helps me :) xx

Jennywallpaper · 25/01/2018 13:52

Hi everyone, I've been back on plan since the 8th, 2 weigh ins in and I'm 4lbs down. Hoping for another 2lb tomorrow to get me back to my lowest weight, still a bit to go to get to target tho. I had a NSV yesterday though when I bought a new coat in a size 12!! I couldn't believe it would actually zip up! Hope everyone's having a good day Smile

itsalwaystimefortea · 25/01/2018 17:22

@IvorHughJarrs The recipe sounds loving. I love the SW chicken satay on PinchofNom but it's a real faff to make.

This is our dinner tonight with a handful of spinach and steak medallions...

emwithme · 25/01/2018 22:34

Another lb off this week, 13 lbs to target, 10 lbs to target range.

Had my favourite meal tonight, chicken, leek and bacon risotto. Bloody delicious and totally syn free. It's a real warming rib-sticker (and tastes nothing like diet food according to DH)

Trying the Two Chubby Cubs' Hawaiian Pizza Pasta bake tomorrow.

IvorHughJarrs · 25/01/2018 23:38

I lost 3lb Smile

Went out for drinks tonight and was surprised that I am still within my syns for the day so all good
I bought a packet of HiFi carrot cake bars tonight and my second surprise was that they are really nice as I've hated any I've tried before

Jennywallpaper · 26/01/2018 08:14

I lost 2.5lbs!!! Absolutely delighted, I'm now only 5lb away from a new stone bracket. I'd love to be there by my birthday next month so fingers crossed for a few more good loses.
I'd love to try risotto, might give it ago this week.
Well done on your loses everyone!

BettyKitten74 · 26/01/2018 10:17

I’ve just been for my weigh in at 3 weeks and I’ve done pretty well so far: 6lbs in week 1, 2lbs in week 2 but this week I only lost 1lb. I’m not sure what I’ve done/haven’t done differently this week but maybe I need to look at how much I’m eating. I’m having 7-8 syns per day but I’m eating similar things every week. It may be just fruit and veg but maybe too much is slowing my progress. Am I just overthinking this and feeling despondent for nothing? Or has anyone else felt like this?

IvorHughJarrs · 26/01/2018 11:05

Our consultant was saying this week that it is sometimes worth looking at the fruit and veg if you plateau as, while it is all healthier and lower calorie than what we all ate before, having too much fruit can still be a lot of sugar. He recommends looking at how much of it you eat and the balance of fruit to veg. If it is fruit heavy then try to replace some with things like carrot sticks, etc

Princesspeach89 · 26/01/2018 12:49

Weigh in yesterday, 3.5lb loss so happy with that although all down to stress at work slimming world lasagna last night to celebrate, just had the leftovers for lunch.

Tweetypie30 · 26/01/2018 14:44

Well done Losers.

I'm full of cold at the moment but I'm still on plan. I'm even synning my Strepsils!

MumInTheCity · 26/01/2018 20:31

Well done those of you who have lost this week. I'm really hoping for a big loss at my first weigh in on Monday. Today's meals were:

B - bacon and mushroom omelette and tomatoes
L - leftover Hawaiian pasta bake
D - Diet Coke chicken and rice
S - haven't had any yet but planning 2 fruit and nut hifi bars for my HEB later.
