I am now 10st12 - 1.5lb loss. 1lb til half a stone award.

This also marks my longest sticking at SW amount of time - all down to a new consultant.

What made the difference (for me) was my new consultant did not live off (and sell as the healthiest thing known to humankind) HIFI bars and ready meals. I'm vegan due to allergies, so this helped as he gave more variety. Apart from that he was nearly at target, had lost 10stone and his attitude was just so much better.

B: asparagus, RF houmous (1.5*), alpen bar (3)
D: WW wrap (B), chickpeas, lettuce, spinach, snack cucumber, olives (1.5) and alpen bar (3)
T: quorn 5 grain fillet (3), RF houmous (1.5), instant mash and spinach

well done to all xx

IvorHughJarrs · 22/01/2018 22:39

I've done OK so far.

One thing I have noticed is that I have great trouble sleeping when I am eating healthily, which is odd. I first noticed it when I did low carb and put it down to my age, menopause, etc but have since noticed I sleep well when I am in a pigging phase and struggle when dieting. I'm not going to bed hungry but it's almost like I need to be really full to sleep
I've resorted to having a weetabix with the last bit of my milk the last couple of nights but don't want to get in the habit of having supper.
Has anyone else noticed this or got any thoughts please?

Oldowl · 23/01/2018 06:59

Yes, I noticed that at the start. I put it down to drinking more liquid throughout the day so needing the loo at 3.30am...often I could not be bothered to get up so slept terribly!

itsalwaystimefortea · 23/01/2018 08:53

5.5 stone loss in 2012/2013 ended in six weeks in hospital and an quick (?) op - put 4 stone of it back on and have lost the same 1.5 stone 6 times over the last year. Back signed up online and 11lbs gone already in Jan.

Need to do this this time - feels like my last chance, TTC, feel like I'm hiding under rolls of fat.

Target is 6 stone loss... 2018 will be THE year! Good Luck all Grin

Flutterby81 · 23/01/2018 09:03

Thanks groovee line drawn! Had a good day yesterday and have just put Cuban beef into the slow cooker for dinner today and food ahoooing their afternoon so I will stock up on healthy stuff.
Good luck itsalwaystimefortea that’s an amazing loss you have had so you know you can do it again Smile

itsalwaystimefortea · 23/01/2018 10:00

Thank you @Flutterby81 Smile Have it to lose - feeling determined this time though.

Cuban Beef is yummy - prefer it to the Campfire Stew and leftovers are great with a cheesey baked potato! Pinch of Nom is my saviour!

It's Spaghetti Carbonara for us tonight

Flutterby81 · 23/01/2018 13:55

Hi all again. Well done to all with the losses.

Had a baaaaad week last week. We've taken to putting green ticks or red crosses on the calendar depending on whether we've stayed on track or not. 5/7 red crosses last week! But I somehow still lost 1lb. Not sure how. Back on track this week, four days all on plan in a row and learning how to be flexible with where I use my syns and not be afraid of using them in a meal.

Groovee · 23/01/2018 18:47

2lb off this week. Yay

caremummy · 23/01/2018 19:21

Petaldrops · 23/01/2018 19:27

Well done for all the losses, just catching up on all the posts.

Flutterby81 · 23/01/2018 20:17

Well done groovee Smile

MumInTheCity · 23/01/2018 20:21

I rejoined group last night, I lost 6 stone with SW years ago but have put it all back on Blush. Determined to get it off again and keep it off this time! Today's meals:
B - 2 satsumas
L - prawn salad, yoghurt and blueberries (2 syns for seafood sauce)
D - steak, jacket potato, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes (1 syn for flora and 1 for ketchup)
S - 2 hifi bars (HEB)

itsalwaystimefortea · 23/01/2018 20:29

Yay well done @Groovee

Groovee · 23/01/2018 21:40

I'm 6lb off target. It's Ds's 18th this week. So who knows how next week will be. But would love to be there by the end of Feb

Tweetypie30 · 23/01/2018 22:12

Well done Groove. How exciting being so close to target.

I lost 1.5 tonight. 6lbs in two weeks. I'm aiming for my first award next week.

Lubilu28 · 24/01/2018 12:07

Sooo it been a long time since I last checked in on here lol

So I started my sw journey sept 6th and so far have lost 2st 3.5lbs with 12lbs to go to target!!

Last Friday after weigh in I decided to start up with my 30 day shred dvd!! It’s a 20-25 min workout with strength training using weights with a mix of cardio in there too!! I also started a new fitness class called pound which I do on Monday nights which is a high intensity workout.

My problem is I have had a sneaky weigh in to see how I’m doing and I’ve GAINED 2lbs!! 😱😫 I know this is more than likely due to water weight as it’s my “period” week and my muscles are hurting which also goes hand in hand with them holding a bit more water!

It just makes me feel like I shouldn’t be doing it as much as I’m not going to show results on the scales at weigh in, which is ridiculous!

I’m not over eating and I’m sticking within my syns so I’m just hoping a couple of days off from the workouts will get my body back to normal!! Drinking lots of water and green tea to try and flush it out haha x

Oly5 · 24/01/2018 12:15

Weighed in last night, lost 3lb. Have really worked at it this week though.. an hour’s walk every day and reducing my pasta, rice and potato intake. Have still had 15 syns a day though!
Off to Nando’s for lunch for the 6 syns lunch

Groovee · 24/01/2018 12:20

@Lubilu28 lots of water and protein.

Enjoy @Oly5

I usually have cereal (weetabix, mini shreddied wheat, branflakes etc) with natural yoghurt and berries for breakfast, I always add a bit of honey for sweetness, usually quite filling. I made a crustless quiche yesterday, recipe was on the SW site. It was really lovely and syn free. Had enough left over for lunch at work today. I'm really enjoying cooking new things. Anyone else?

caremummy · 24/01/2018 14:48

Lunch: WW wrap (B), houmous (1.5) and quorn fillet (3).
15 hours sleep sorted me right out. I just need to get the speed in now.
