Have you tried the Halo ice cream?

It’s fabulous

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 20/01/2018 21:52

2.5lbs off this week. A very slow start but I've hardly done any exercise. Puppy is finally allowed out this week, so walking will commence.

Food has been fine all week. Did have Chinese tonight but stayed sensible.

Tweetypie30 · 21/01/2018 10:43

Well done Kinky, was it your first weigh in? I'm on my second week.

Everyone is raving about that ice cream in my group Calzone. I want to try it but it doesn't really feel like ice cream weather at the moment.

The speedy soup I made yesterday was absolutely delicious. I'm going to have it again today for lunch and freeze the rest.

IvorHughJarrs · 21/01/2018 17:07

I rejoined last week.

Some of you may remember me complaining, last year, about a group I went to that seemed unfriendly and not motivating. My friend and I made an effort to speak to people there and they would speak back but nobody ever initiated talking to us and the group leader did nothing but go through the losses and gains. Friend gave up but I persisted and lost 2 stone over 6 months. I finally gave up in disgust when I found out the leader had a Facebook support group but had never told us about it!

About 2 months after I stopped I had a text message saying she noticed I hadn't been to group and was I ok so I replied thanking her but saying I felt I needed more support and motivation and just got back "Good luck on your journey"

Anyway I heard locally about another group, it's further away but I can go on my way home from work and the leader is a bit of a maverick, doesn't do everything by the book but gets good results, so I have rejoined. I've put back one of the stones I'd lost but am ready to give it another go

Onwards and upwards downwards Grin

Groovee · 21/01/2018 17:56

Good luck @IvorHughJarrs

I made cheeseburger pasta tonight from Slimming Eats. It was amazing x

I'm rubbish. Can't seem to get in the swing of it. I can't go to meetings Cos of work. So do it from Home. Manage to be organised and cook meals each night but then at the weekend I mess up with a takeaway. So then I think bugger it and eat for England 😩help

IvorHughJarrs · 21/01/2018 19:46

That sounds nice Groovee, I'm wavering about the shepherds pie I was going to do tomorrow and thinking I might try that now. Did you put any veg with it?

Groovee · 21/01/2018 21:07

Had onion in it and we had salad.

Looks gorgeous. I might just make that instead for tomorrow now

I'm going to work out a meal plan and go shopping tomorrow morning. The new consultant sent a welcome text the day after meeting and one today saying he hopes the first weekend has gone well and don't forget to join the FB group for extra support and chat. What a difference to the last one, the only message I ever got from her was after I left!

caremummy · 21/01/2018 22:29

argh, had to call today a day off.
but, a 'positive' step is went to asda, ww wraps are only 75p atm. stocked up on speed and hex's.
expecting a gain tomorrow, but focussing on my WI result for mon 29th jan, which I want the result to be 10st11.5.

Oldowl · 21/01/2018 22:36

Made scotch eggs with Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages tonight. Delicious, filling and free.

caremummy · 21/01/2018 23:12

I love linda Mc ROAR sausages

Groovee · 22/01/2018 05:02

@loverofcake983 how about planning your weekends. You could make Indian or Chinese or pizza and still feel like it's a treat?

OP posts:
loverofcake983 · 22/01/2018 07:02

@Groovee yes. That's a good idea. I guess I need to be more organised at the weekends. Just seem to be piling on the weight at the moment 😢

caremummy · 22/01/2018 08:00

What day do you WI? I find (when I'm on it) if I have a cheat meal post WI (530/730 Monday) it keeps me going enough. If not the day you WI a planned one meal off, always with boiler rice ? 😂 I usually get Chinese, sometimes within syns sometimes not. I allow for that, and the weeks I'm on it, it doesn't affect my losses. Just an idea xx

I am currently eating a very weird but lovely bfast of asparagus w/ tbsp of houmous (2 I think) and an Alpen Jaffa bar (3)

caremummy · 22/01/2018 08:03

Well done for finding another group, Ivorhughjarrs. A good consultant makes all the difference.
I've STS this morning which I'm ok with. Had a bakewell tart at a garden centre café on Saturday and digestive biscuits on Saturday evening. I felt really fat and bloated yesterday which I haven't had for ages so I half expected a gain.
I've set myself a new goal of 2 stones by the end of February. In August it will be our 30th wedding anniversary so I'd like to have lost 3 stones by then.
Hope everyone has a good week!

emwithme · 22/01/2018 12:27

Hope everyone is OK, you all seem to be doing really well.

Am still ill, this bloody virus is knocking seven bells out of me, had to leave work early on Friday and am not in today, having spent literally the whole weekend in PJs on the sofa binge watching Grey's Anatomy.

Only lost 1/2 lb last week but was happy enough with it because it's better than a gain, and because losing weight when I'm feeling rank isn't necessarily the easiest thing for me. I'm not the quickest of losers anyway (the 4 stone I lost to get to target went at an average of 0.75 lbs a week) but my Christmas weight is gone, and I have just 11 lbs to get to target range (and therefore 1 stone to get back to target).

Flutterby81 · 22/01/2018 17:11

Well done to the losers I’m ashamed o day I gained today although expected went off the rails including a huge Indian takeaway I don’t know why I sabotage myself like this Blush
Back on it today hopefully with my head in right place, no breakfast as was at work earlier tuna salad for lunch with yoghurt and apple for snacks and making spiced lamb burgers and wedges&salad for dinner wholemeal roll as hex b burgers and Tzakki(?!) are stunned at 8 suns for the day . Food shop tomorow so nothingbin to tempt me tonight Grin just done Dacian workout to do hopefully see a loss next week.

Flutterby81 · 22/01/2018 17:25

Sorry for spelling it’s my fat fingers Grin meant to say davina workout

Testarossa1 · 22/01/2018 18:52

Weighed in today and another 2.5lb off! If I can manage another 1 pound off next week I'll have lost half a stone. Really quite pleased with myself.

Flutterby81 · 22/01/2018 19:10

Well done testarossa1 Smile
