I would stick with extra easy. My consultant recommended getting to grips with extra easy first.

My meals when I am on my own is Yeungs curry sauce at 1.5 syns. Put lots of veggies in and maybe chicken. Then served over SW chips. Have done pasta with bacon and mushrooms using half a tub of go go cheese as my HEA choice and melting the cheese in and serving with a salad.

BlooBagoo · 16/08/2017 19:11

I ditto Groovee, get your head around the normal extra easy plan before considering anything else.

Hope you're feeling better soon Basin

2lb gain for me. Knew it wasn't going to be good but I had a sneaky weigh in at home this morning and looked like it was maybe going to just be 1lb so a tad annoyed at myself. Was a big weekend though so I know exactly where it came from.

Wasn't the Woman of the Year winner in my group but really wasn't expecting it, the woman who won is amazing so I'm honoured to have just been nominated alongside so many other inspirational women in the group.

Just having salad tonight. Had some cooked chicken to use up so going to cook up some bacon and add some Balsamic to it instead of a creamy dressing. Had some white bread earlier for syns so trying to keep everything else free tonight.

Notmybag · 16/08/2017 19:14

thanks.

(I confess that I hate cooking as it feels like such a chore, tedious but necessary for the family but even more hasslesome for just me)

OwlinaTree · 16/08/2017 19:42

I hate cooking too notmybag. Luckily my dh is good at it!

SkeletonSkins · 16/08/2017 20:03

I too hate cooking!!

Was meant to have cottage pie tonight but just didn't want it at all so OH has made me syn free chicken fried rice, yum. Almost had no speed but felt guilty so have done my third on the plate.

Going to have a go at making a muller milkshake with my left over HeA allowance.

Groovee · 16/08/2017 20:06

I've become a better cook through SW. But I do quick and easy meals.

Notmybag · 16/08/2017 20:54

I've just avoided the kitchen and eaten strawberries for dinner.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 16/08/2017 21:06

I've been LOVING having prunes for my hexB, they are so sweet and fudgy and delicious!

SkeletonSkins · 16/08/2017 21:19

Tonight's treat - super thick strawberry milkshake made using my HeA, a frozen muller and some blended strawbs (0.5 syn). Going to get some strawberry mullers in to make it syn free! Wonder if an options would work to make a choc one with plain yoghurt? 2 syns for the cream.

2 1/2lb off this week :)

Milkshake looks nice.

I think having it with blended strawberries in must be better for you than not having strawberries in it, so I don't think I'd worry about the syns. You're not eating hundreds and hundreds of them.

Trills · 16/08/2017 21:27

I went past an Iceland yesterday and picked up a few SW ready meals - they were doing "Buy 3 ready meals and get a 6pack of yoghurts free", which seemed like a good deal.

SkeletonSkins · 16/08/2017 21:50

You know what Trills you're right. Hadn't thought of it like that - so easy to lose sight of what's important!

Oooo will have to nip into Iceland tomorrow.

FoofFighter · 16/08/2017 21:53

I've only tried the beef crush sw meal but it was nice and huge!!

Groovee · 16/08/2017 21:55

Many of the SW meals have peppers in and they trigger my reflux.

Trills · 16/08/2017 22:27

There have been loads of people joining my group the last couple of weeks.

Maybe they all joined after their summer holidays.

Do you find there is a high attrition rate?

IvorHughJarrs · 17/08/2017 00:31

I have actually stuck to the plan today. Woohoo! Grin

ibuiltahomeforyou · 17/08/2017 05:59

@Trills I think a lot of people just go for a few weeks, get the books and decide to 'follow at home' then just give up.

Out of the four people who signed up the week I did, only one other is still going. And in fact out of a class of 45+ who stay, only about three who joined after me (10 weeks ago) are still staying to group.

Groovee · 17/08/2017 06:41

Our group has been quiet. Only 3 turned up to the early class the other night.

We have about 14 who regularly stay. Sometimes weighing takes little time at all and other times it's hooching.

FoofFighter · 17/08/2017 07:17

Group was back to normal this week cause the kid da went back to school

whatnextfred · 17/08/2017 08:23

First weigh in and down 4.5 lb! Very happy with that. 10lb to go. Thanks for all the tips and advice on here it really helps

BlooBagoo · 17/08/2017 08:27

That milkshake looks fab @SkeletonSkins.

If you want to make a chocolate one try Choc Shot liquid chocolate. It's only half a syn for a teaspoon and one teaspoon goes a long way. I mix 1tsp into vanilla Mullerlight for a chocolate pudding. Grin

Trills · 17/08/2017 09:15

I don't believe that I would do it if I wasn't actually going. That's why I paid for 12 weeks upfront. I need social pressure to keep me on track otherwise I'd say "this is fine" and just buy bigger jeans.

Got my free "Sweet Dreams" book as well, but I'd much rather have got a savoury book. Although that swirly cheesecake does look beautiful (especially in the real life pic, not just the book cover pic)

Trills · 17/08/2017 09:17

Good job whatnextfred!
So your goal was 1 stone and half a pound? I like that :)

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 17/08/2017 09:36

I joined SW in the past but dropped out then tried to sick to it at home but never did and this time at group I feel like my heads in the right place, I missed one weigh in because of work and then because I knew I wasn't getting weighed that week the temptation of a take away was more appealing because I would think I have 10 days to lose it

trills is the book any good?

Gorgosparta · 17/08/2017 09:45

never can you have a couple of back groups?

You can get weighed at any. So if you miss your regular one, you can get weighed. Then you can avoid that.

I do the same. If i have to miss weigh in, i go off plan. So i have a list of other groups then no excuse to miss.
