Just finished second day 100% on plan, maxed out at 15 syns but that's all good

Breakfast - muesli (40g HExb) with strawberries
Lunch - gammon (no fat) salad, mayo, space raiders and a fat free yogurt totalling 3.5 syns
Dinner - spicy wedges, mushy peas and youngs gastro fish 7.5 syns
Snacks - strawberries, grapes and apple throughout and Hexa milk for coffee
2/7 done

mayathebee · 15/08/2017 21:33

Well after posting about my restraint I 'relaxed in a serious way today. I decided to have one treat meal with no counting syns as part of the hol. We found a little Italian and I had delicious lobster-stuffed ravioli with tomato and basil sauce (with loads of olive oil) plus a huge piece of Bailey's cheesecake with ice cream. It must have been a weeks worth of syns but I really enjoyed it - much more than having small treats throughout the hol. I haven't had many syns this week otherwise and I've been doing 20,000 steps a day so hopefully wi won't be too painful!

mayathebee · 15/08/2017 21:33

Well done Gorgosparta, that's fantastic!

Groovee · 15/08/2017 21:43

I lost 0.5lb this week. Since my surgery, my losses are slow.

strawberrykiss36 · 15/08/2017 21:44

Wow, well done Gorgosparta! It's my first weigh in on Friday, feeling a bit nervous about it all.

FoofFighter Will definitely try lettuce wraps next time, and save my hexa for some cheese or sour cream.

Groovee · 15/08/2017 23:02

Well done @Gorgosparta

IvorHughJarrs · 16/08/2017 00:04

Well my weigh-in was awful as predicted, I put on 5lb in 2 weeks and, despite being so frustrated with myself I'm still tempted to go and eat now!

My friend, who I have been going to SW with, rang earlier to say she is not going to come any more which is a bit of a blow as people seem to come and go a lot and not really mix or speak to one another (I think 2 people have spoken to us in about 3 months and one of those is there as a carer so can't really chat much)
I did speak to the assistants today and say I was disappointed with the lack of motivation and information at the meetings and they both agreed, said they have raised it before with the group leader before and will do again soon (she's off for a few weeks as just had a baby)

Now, what can I do to distract myself from toast and butter? Grin

BlooBagoo · 16/08/2017 00:47

That sounds like it was worth every syn @mayathebee and well done on all that waking too.

Amazing weigh in @Gorgosparta!

My weigh in is tomorrow, had a meal out and a Chinese this weekend, as well as so much Wineso not looking forward to it, but at least with it being a special taster week we don't have image therapy so I can pretend it didn't happen. Grin Have been doing well at sticking to plan since then though, only syns today have been for a packet of crisps and I stopped myself at just the one packet (a huge step for me!) and I'm not going to have my usual bag of chips for my post-group treat this week, determined to get my 1.5 stone award next week, been dancing around it for a good couple of months now and it's so frustrating. I've been batch cooking today though so loads of free meals just ready to be reheated so I have no excuse this week. Smile

SkeletonSkins · 16/08/2017 00:54

Well done to the losses, really hoping I can take inspiration and get a loss for this week at my WI on friday. Even 1lb will do!

Really struggling to 'want' breakfasts other than a bit of alpen with milk. Had with yog today and it was nice enough but would prefer milk. Going to have to syn it some days when I need my HeA for other things. Once I'm back at work I can probably just have fruit for breakfast but it's harder when you're off.

Tomorrow's Plan either:
Breakfast: Sugar free muesli with milk (2.5 syns) and berries
Lunch: pasta with some beans and salad, baby bell (2 syns)
Tea: SW cottage pie with HeA cheese
Snack: fruit, a Freddo (5 syns)
Total 9.5 syns

Or
Snack when I get up - yoghurt, apple
Late Breakfast/early lunch - Oat pancakes with berries and other various bits of fruit lol. Potenitally dash of low fat squirts cream (2 syns)
Snacks in afternoon - fruit, salad, grilled chicken, baby bell light (2syns)
tea - SW cottage pie with HeA cheese
Afters - Freddo (5 syns)

Total 9 syns

Will see how I feel tomorrow. I do just really love alpen for some reason!

Gorgosparta · 16/08/2017 06:44

Thanks everyone.

It was really unexpected. Would be amazing if you could safely loose that every week. Lol.

I never had such a big weight loss like that before. I think the sp days helped. I cant eat rice, pasta, white potatoes anyway. They really play havoc with my stomach. So a few days ended up being sp.

I go away in late jan and just want to get as much off as possible.

PositiveAttitude · 16/08/2017 07:02

It was a gain for me last night, just 1lb and not undeserved. Sad I then came home and ate buttered toast and chocolate. Blush

So today a line has been drawn. I have meal planned for the week and I am going to have a couple of SP days this week and I am determined to stick to the plan, although I have just realised that it is DH's birthday on Sunday, so I might have a slight blip from my plan then.

FoofFighter · 16/08/2017 07:59

Fresh start today, back to basics. Weigh in at 930, veggie curry in the sc already

Groovee · 16/08/2017 08:42

Had Lidl skyr yoghurt with a massive bowl of mixed fruit.

Lunch if at home cous cous or a baked potato if I am out.

Dinner is Pork Jambalaya

Only got 3lb to my next target.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 16/08/2017 10:52

@Groovee I'd love to do 3lbs this week, I'd then get my stone and a half award, plus be at my interim target.

I lost 1lb yesterday and feel ready for a strong week.

SkeletonSkins · 16/08/2017 11:07

Naughty I know but weighed myself today and scales seem to be going in the right direction....

Made pancakes this morning - did enjoy them but not quite the same as traditional ones of course haha. Ended up using 5 syns on golden syrup and light whipped cream as a treat, also had berries. Very very full now so hopefully that lasts. Used oats as my HeB
Rest of the day - lunch going to have saladdy bits, tea is SW cottage pie with cheese as my HeA.

Freddo for 5 syns for dessert. Total 10 syns

Boatsnack · 16/08/2017 11:09

Well done gorgo that's fantastic.

skeleton I hardly ever eat breakfast just don't tell my consultant. I have been up since 7am and I'm just starting to get hungry now. I've just dropped dd at dancing so I'll probably get some fruit from the supermarket then have a big lunch when we get home at half 1.

latedecember1963 · 16/08/2017 12:22

What a brilliant start, Gorgosparta!
You sound really disheartened, Ivor, and we probably all feel that way at times. Try to keep going to a group even though your friend is dropping out. You're losing weight for you. It might be worth trying a different group.

I've made a tomato and lentil soup, enough for today and tomorrow. DS2 gets his A-level results tomorrow so I want easy things prepared in case we're caught up in clearing.

Groovee · 16/08/2017 12:47

I made cous cous for lunch and had wafer thin chicken and pickled onions with it. Very tasty. Made the cous cous with veg stock and a touch of curry powder. Then stirfried, carrots, mushrooms with red onion and garlic. Very yummy.

Determined to do well today!

Groovee · 16/08/2017 12:48

We'll need a new thread soon too x

FoofFighter · 16/08/2017 13:22

+3

B egg and spinach pot from Tesco, fruit pot
L hexb thin with ham and cucumber, pink slaw, hexa 3 babybel light
T veggie curry

WeldMeDaphne · 16/08/2017 13:56

Apols for being off the radar a bit- well done everyone! I am .5 lb away from 1 1/2 stone. Then it's only another 8 to go 😧 But it's progress in the right direction. We've got a week away next week, with the ILs so food is relatively healthy. Reckon I have 3 danger spots- 1st a big family bash on sat (after WI at least). I'm not going to count though. Then we will prob take the kids to the most amazing fish and chip place while we're in Scotland, and MY plan is to just have what I want. We are also likely to score a night out with no kids, so lots of booze and poss a meal. Hoping to counter it with lots of exercise and fresh air and otherwise being pretty strict. I'm hoping to lose another stone by my bday, and 2 by Xmas. Will be buying a 12 week countdown as soon as I'm back from Scotland...

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 16/08/2017 17:40

B - SW sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and scrambled egg

L - fruit (was out so didn't have anything SW friendly)

D - fajita bowel with salad and salsa 2syns. Have left overs in the fridge so hopefully don't end up eating them tonight

Then Ben and jerrys son of a wich amazing 4 syns

Drank so much green tea today and will have fruit tonight and try to avoid more Ben and jerrys

Total 6 syns so far

BasinHaircut · 16/08/2017 18:36

never fajita bowel sounds interesting Grin

I'm feeling sorry for myself today, I've got bronchitis according to the doctor. I had a fleeting second of 'let's get a takeaway' and then I remembered how awful i felt after all of the crappy food at the end of last week and I really don't even want one.

I've decided to put some time and effort into trying lots of Curries and other types of fakeaway. Tonight we are having chicken and veg Chinese curry (extra hot mayflower sauce) and SW egg fried rice. Will be 3 syns the lot and enough left over for lunch tomorrow.

Get well soon Basin.

Notmybag · 16/08/2017 18:41

Hi, I am doing SW online. Finding it quite confusing with SP, extra-easy etc.
any advice?

mostly sticking to overnight oats for breakfast, tuna and sweetcorn salad for lunch, pasta and tomato based dinner. sometimes no breakfast and have mid-morning 2x ryvita with 1 laughing cow.

Find meals where it is only me quite hard to plan and prepare for eg: tonight - old me would have taken advantage of empty house and had pizza but I need to stay on plan!
