I've just messed up. When I did sw before any seedless wholemeal 60g breadroll was a HE and I've just had a king mill one with lunch and checked and it's 8 syns 😩😩😩 but two slices of wholemeal bread is a HE ??

Groovee · 15/08/2017 14:32

It's something to do with fiber content.

whatnextfred · 15/08/2017 14:34

I didn't even want the fecking thing 😤

Boatsnack · 15/08/2017 14:40

I managed to scrape a sts at weigh in yesterday which was good going considering I had a few meals out and wine at the caravan. Only 1 more week till schools back then I'll be heading for target, eyes on the prize. I have 17lbs to go so I'm hoping to have hit target by November.

BasinHaircut · 15/08/2017 15:22

fred I'd count HEXB and 2 syns for that roll and just remember for next time.

I'm feeling ill today. Really sorry for myself. I've got a tickly cough that's been keeping me awake and my voice has started to go. Not feeling the need to reach for comfort food though. Dinner is smoked salmon and pesto pasta with green beans and I'm really looking forward to it.

I admit I just use the 60g rule, I can't see how it's diff to having bread?

whatnextfred · 15/08/2017 16:03

Oh phew. Thanks x

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 15/08/2017 16:18

Well done to everyone that's lost!!

And maya that is some restraint! I hope it shows for you

For lunch I had a fajita bowl. Had chicken peppers onions with fajita seasoning with a plate of salad and some salsa on the side it was really good and I didn't feel like I was missing out on having any wraps to go with it

FunSpunge · 15/08/2017 16:23

Hi all!

Hoping you can give me the kick up the backside that I need!

I am currently a target member and have been for a few months now. Admittedly I have been on holiday and had lots of different "do's' to go to but my target is becoming a distant memory Confused

I need to get back to class to face the music but I just want a couple of lbs off before I do but I just don't seem to be able to get my head back into it.

How on earth do you get back in the slimming zone???

I'm only 2/3lbs above my target weight at the moment but I know that will become 5/6/7/8 if I don't reign it in now. 2/3 is much easier to lose than 5/6!

My cooking/trying recipes has stagnated which doesn't help. Sad

I could kick myself but it doesn't stop me reaching for the nice fatty foods Hmm

OrianaBanana · 15/08/2017 16:46

Hi @FunSponge, I'd say get to group asap. It doesn't matter if you're a few pounds heavier than you'd like, it's better than putting it off and just putting weight on. A good group will really help your motivation but ultimately your head has to be back in the game. Good luck!

OrianaBanana · 15/08/2017 16:48

If you really can't bear it, look at some slimming world inspo online and MEAL PLAN like a demon, do a SW friendly shop so lots of good snacks in (and stick to it!!). x

latedecember1963 · 15/08/2017 17:00

Have had a go at making cheesecakes using the ideas given earlier today. DS2 is hopefully going to load a photo.

What kind of thugs do you like to eat fun maybe we can suggest ideas to help you?

late they look great!

FunSpunge · 15/08/2017 17:53

I'm not fussy @NeverEnoughSleep1 I think that's my problem 😂

Having salmon tonight with noodles and veg.

How did you make those @OrianaBanana? I have a terrible sweet tooth.

FunSpunge · 15/08/2017 17:53

Sorry, wrong tag, I meant @latedecember1963 Smile

Greenteandchives · 15/08/2017 18:05

Hi everyone. Another 1lb off for me today. Happy with that as I am out for a few meals this week which might do some damage. I have lost every week for 16 weeks now. Sometimes only a half, but It is a bit addictive.

funspunge you need to get to group asap! And meal plan. And stick to it. Do it now.

FunSpunge · 15/08/2017 18:44

Ive been through the addicted stage @Greenteandchives it's why I'm frustrated that I can't get my head back into it!
It felt amazing knowing my clothes were getting looser! I'd like to hover at 1-2lbs under target so around 5lb to lose.

My meals through the week aren't bad at all. It's the little bits here and there that add up!

Today's syns are milk, lighter than light mayo and 1tbsp salad dressing.

Breakfast was free
Evening meal will be free

I'm about to make a crustless quiche for lunch tomorrow and I have sw Chilli for tea tomorrow night (already made!)

I'll be going to class next week. I won't have been for 5 weeks and the class Ive been dropping in at for the last 2 months is not my cup of tea! I'll be much happier if I'm able to get back to my normal class if I can get away from work on time to make it! Hmm

strawberrykiss36 · 15/08/2017 19:31

Well done everyone on your losses!

I miss ice cream too. Practically sobbed walking past the tubs of Ben and jerrys in Morrisons earlier

NeverEnoughSleep1 I had a fajita bowl too! Had it with wholemeal rice though, dollop of fat free yoghurt and salad. Definitely missed my wraps (and oil - makes quorn so much nicer!) but I'm sure I'll get used to it Grin

SkeletonSkins · 15/08/2017 19:42

Pros - I didn't eat out at the shopping centre and bought a size 10 (next so it's big to be fair) dress that technically does up but needs a few lbs dropped to look nice. That's my motivation.

Cons - I did eat some strawberries dipped in choc which wasn't great but strawbs is speed! I think if I count it as 10 syns that's probably about right as they were only dipped in it if that makes sense.

Breakfast lunch and tea all free so mostly been good.

FoofFighter · 15/08/2017 19:50

could you guys make thin egg wraps for your fajitas? Or use lettuce leaves?

OwlinaTree · 15/08/2017 19:56

Didn't make it to weigh in tonight as was out too late with friends and the kids. Slightly annoying but Heigh ho. I'll have to text the leader to book next week as holiday, must remember!

On the positive side, I'm pretty sure I've lost this week, so hopefully that will balance out the inevitable holiday gain!

latedecember1963 · 15/08/2017 20:15

Dead easy to make. I crushed a digestive biscuit in a sandwich bag & then put the crumbs in the bottom of the ramekin. Mixed 0% Greek yoghurt with a tablespoon of drinking chocolate. Others have suggested Options drinks but I'd run out. Spoon the yoghurt mix over the biscuit & decorate with fruit. DS has suggested I add vanilla essence next time.

Greenteandchives · 15/08/2017 20:20

I miss ice cream too strawberrykiss.
I also miss good bread, cheese, pizza, chocolate, biscuits and cake.
I know I can have these as syns, but frankly I am better off just not having them at all.
I want to be slim more than I want those foods.
My syns mostly go on wine and crisps at the weekend.
The hardest thing is passing the treats table at work many times a day. I work in the NHS and we get quite a lot of boxes of chocs and biscuits from patients.

NeverEnoughSleep1 · 15/08/2017 20:28

I haven't heard of egg thin wraps foof

greentea I work in the NHS aswell and the chocolates and biscuits are like torture not to pick at Grin

Gorgosparta · 15/08/2017 20:34

Went to weigh in. First one.

Lost 7.5lbs. Which was really unexpected. In a good way.

Been to excerise class after weigh in. I have a wedding this weekend so would be happy with a maintain.
