penny I like some of the options hot chocs I buy them in the single packets because I no I wouldn't weigh them properly and there good to hit a sweet spot

Been to weigh in and lost 2lb so I'm 1.5lb off losing a stone

Gorgosparta · 14/08/2017 17:53

Well done never

Am going to have quark and optiond tonight. Sounds lush

mayathebee · 14/08/2017 18:25

I deserve some kind of sw medal this holiday! We are caravanning and have ended up at the coast. DP and DCs have just had fish and chips for the second time in 2 weeks but I managed to resist and had the spag bol leftovers from yesterday. That's 2 lots of fish and chips, numerous ice creams and at least 5 cakes I have turned down. Surely I deserve to lose at least a dress size after that Wink.

mayathebee · 14/08/2017 18:27

Well done Owl and never!

Groovee · 14/08/2017 19:30

Well done Never.

Good work Maya.

I've tried the key lime and blackberry cheesecake from the new recipe book. Will report back.

That looks delicious groovee! I'll be eagerly awaiting your review.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 14/08/2017 19:47

Ooh that looks exactly like the front cover of the book@Groovee!

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 20:01

Groovee that looks absolutely amazing!

Can't believe you resisted two fish and chips maya you're a stronger woman than me. Not sure I'd have resisted that!

Here's tonight's tea, I know the peas aren't speedy but at least they're free. Omelette has ham, my HeA cheese allowance, mushrooms and peas in it. Yum.

What is the new book called? That cheesecake looks lovely.

BlooBagoo · 14/08/2017 20:12

New book is Sweet Dreams. I have it sitting on the desk in front of me but I haven't made anything from it yet.

That looks lovely groovee. :)

DH suggested the other day that with all my SW cookbooks I should prepare a SW friendly Christmas dinner this year (I always cook for us, DPs and our siblings and their families). He thinks I shouldn't tell them it's all SW friendly either, as they can add sauces and butter etc. I'm still not sure as I do like having that one day where I can indulge, and it's really only things like the cranberry relish I love to make and then desserts that would be really off plan and it's the alcohol consumption that would likely be the worst thing anyway.

BlooBagoo · 14/08/2017 20:14

Oh and forgot to add, well done on resisting so much Maya! Don't be too strict either though, if there's something you want then go for it. I still allow myself a bag of chips now and again as it's 14 syns for that so still within daily allowance if I'm good the rest of the time. It's usually my treat after weigh in each week.

mayathebee · 14/08/2017 20:40

Thanks Bloo, thats good advice. I did have a cheese scone at one of the castles we visited last week and really enjoyed it. I'm generally trying to avoid anything that would use up all my syns for day because I'm having to use packet couscous/rice etc and as reception is dodgy I can't always check the syn value so I'm never sure how many I have left. Plus I'm starving with all this fresh air and walking so I'm eating boatloads of fruit! I know it's free but I'm eating a lot! I'd rather have a piece of cake than fish and chips but panic that i have no idea how many syns they are.

owlsandbadgers · 14/08/2017 21:34

I've just managed my first day on plan for months.... ending on 10.5 syns and feeling so happy! I'm in such a cycle of self hate that this has given me the boost for tomorrow

Groovee · 14/08/2017 21:51

Try not to stress too much Maya.

Well done @owlsandbadgers

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 22:22

Verdict on the options/quark combo - bit odd by itself but combined with strawberries and a broken up meringue (3 syns) and a splash of light whipped cream (1 syn) it made for a very satisfying and naughty feeling dessert as it became a bit like the cheese on a cheesecake. Could defo combine with a digestive to make it even more cheesecakey. Might try combining options with plain yoghurt tomorrow and see how that works out.

OwlinaTree · 14/08/2017 22:38

Well done losers, some good losses this week. I've got weigh in tomorrow, hoping for a loss but had a Chinese on Saturday so who knows? That was my only off plan thing.

Off on holiday on Saturday, must remember to book a week's holiday. I'm expecting a big gain on holiday, we are self catering, which is the worst in a way as I'll end up having loads of meals out and takeaways no doubt!

Groovee · 15/08/2017 07:23

Weigh Day! Like Owlina, I had Chinese on Saturday too. My niece is coming to join with me tonight.

BasinHaircut · 15/08/2017 08:24

Morning all. Well done owls I know how you feel!

I somehow managed to lose a pound last night. That was over two weeks but I've no idea how that is even possible with the amount of crap I've consumed.

Well done, Turquoise and all other losers.
I hope your restraint is rewarded, Maya. It's tough isn't it, especially when it's hard to check syn values. Do SW still publish the huge syn directory or do they assume everyone has easy access to the internet these days? I did SW many years ago when you had to phone up for syn values and it was only available during office hours and not at all on Sunday. Another world!
Going to try a crumbled digestive in quark & choc options mix.

Groovee · 15/08/2017 11:30

They still do the syns directory x

latedecember1963 · 15/08/2017 12:00

Thank you, Groovee. Think I'll get one for when I'm at my caravan.

SkeletonSkins · 15/08/2017 12:54

Today's meals :

B - 45g alpen mixed with toffee muller, strawberries and banana. Orange no added sugar cordial so syn free yay

Lunch - jacket potato with beans and half my HeA cheese allowance, tomatoes, cucumber and chopped apple

Tea - SW spag bol with one slice of garlic bread (5 syns) and salad.

Off to the shopping centre after lunch which would totally normally mean tea out but determined to be good! Might get myself a freddo or something for after tea.
