Ivor, our group is a bit like that. Sometimes the consultant has something to make us think, like different tubs with HE's in but which one is the true amount.

I had my second weigh in last night, another 1.5lbs off so that's 3lb in 2 weeks. Mixed feelings about it - don't get me wrong i'm pleased to have any sort of loss, but everyone else in my group seems to have much bigger losses than me. My friend who I go with has already lost half a stone!

Thanks for the new thread Basin.

Well do enough on the loses everyone, a fab week.

I put 2lb on but I'm Only half a lb over my target, so I'm fine with that. It's all about balance now, trying to find my feet. In plan 75% of the time, need to get that to 90.

FoofFighter · 12/07/2017 11:39

+1.5 which I was shocked at I was thinking a 4-5lb gain at least, although the way my body works it might not fully show till next weigh in anyway.

Funnythat - have you honestly been follwoing the plan 100%? Handing in food diaries? Having the right measured and weighed healthy extras? Have you only got a relatively small amount to lose, whereas your friend has a lot?

Groovee · 12/07/2017 11:49

Funny, remember everyone is different. One lady at my group is a slow loser but she sticks to it. You may see bigger losses further down the line x

Well as I guessed I have gained..... 1.5lb which isn't surprising considering a weekend away and some meals out this week😬 I'm meant to be getting nearer to target not away from it!!
Oh well, back on it now........

Does anyone know how many syns a man can have? & do they get any extra HEX?
Someone at work asked me and I don't know!

Report
Groovee · 12/07/2017 16:21

I think a man can have 5-10 extra syns. But I don't think they get extra healthy extras.

Report
ALemonyPea · 12/07/2017 16:45

Men can have 25 syns a day and same amount of healthy extras.

Hi funnygirl
I'm a slower loser, average between 1-1.5 per week across my journey. I'm at target now having lost 3.5 stone. It was slow and steady.

I noticed I can ramp it up by switching to 50% speed food at every meal. I also keep my carbs lower than some as pasta and potatoes don't really suit me, so I guess I'm. It quite SP most of the time

Good luck X

More gains than losses thus far today. Must be the holiday season! I will be joining the gainers tomorrow.
Today's dinner was a result of my jumping on the WW wrap bandwagon.

Groovester that looks gorgeous.

I had the 3 bean chilli from Iceland and it was so bland.

Was a bit disappointed to visit MIL on her birthday today as she was 70 and FIL never got her a cake!

Made the beef dhansak tonight, it was yummy! Rather than boiling the meat I put the puréed lentil mix into the slower cooker with the beef.

Thanks for the responses folks. Maybe I was expecting too much. When I went years ago the consultant did a little talk or something every week so I was expecting to learn and feel inspired. The woman who does this class has a load in the area so it is hard to try another as they don't fit in with work, etc
I have spoken to a couple of other people but it is a funny time, close to school pick-up so a lot weigh then whizz off so there is usually about 12 stay, mostly older ladies, some at target and they've all been there for years!

For my tea I have had homemade spicy pork meatballs with mango salsa (from an old SW cookbook), cauli rice, tomato, cucumber and a blob of low fat sour cream and chive dip (2 syns). Followed it with 2 figs warmed in the microwave with a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup (chemical shitstorm in a bottle but a tiny bit is nice) with a scoop of low fat ice cream (2 1/2 syns). It was yummy!

Dinner for me tonight was mince with speed chopped in with some taco spices, cheapy savoury rice, served on a shit load of iceberg and a dollop of salsa. Yummy

Hello folks! Mumsnet newbie here. Doing SW and lost 1st 8lb so far (been doing it since last year, properly since January tho). TTC after a MC in Jan '16. Got a fair bit to lose, does anyone worry about being overweight/having a high BMI and TTC? Mine is 34 just now but it was 39 Confused

Report
Groovee · 12/07/2017 21:35

Welcome Mary. I've had a few friends who have continued SW when pregnant and gained mostly baby weight which they have lost quickly. I had a BMI of 29 when I fell pregnant with my son. But ironically I lose weight when pregnant.

basin that looks tasty.
I've never tried any of the SW meals groovee although I did try the onion gravy and that was horrible. Bland!
Welcome mary

Hi Mary, I started SW while trying to TTC. I was overweight, but my BMI gradually decreased and I got pregnant (twice, one MC). I don't know if it was a coincidence but SW certainly didn't hinder it! xx

2lbs on for me today so that's 6.5lbs on in last 3 weeks Shock
Apart from a meal out with a good friend later on today I don't have much else on this week so it's time to refocus and start losing!

Groovee, I find most of the SW meals a big disappointment. Too overspiced or bland. The soups are awful.

Well done on the loss Groovster.

I know they say don't weigh, but I like to. I did all last week and I know I had a big loss, but I haven't lost yet this week. I am so worried, I'm hoping it'll be okay on Monday!!!
