Been a bit mixed with food over the last few days. DS1s birthday on Thurs. Made a SW friendly tea but did have some birthday cake. We had a family meal out yesterday where I made fairly sensible choices but I did have a glass of wine. Been to a funeral today so not really eaten much. A week overdue for my period so feeling bloated. Suspect I'll have a gain at WI tomorrow. Trying not to stress about it. Good luck to all other weighers tomorrow.

BasinHaircut · 14/08/2017 09:22

I will catch up on the thread a bit later, but just wanted to get this written down whilst I'm in the mood.

Been completely off plan since Thursday TBH and I actually feel so disgusting. Last night I felt physically sick because of all the rich food which my body obviously doesn't want anymore.

I feel completely bunged up and like I need a good flush through. Weigh I tonight is going to be bad but I'm making myself go and own it.

I've got 2 more weekends of events which are not SW friendly but I'm going to be completely in it during the week. Then after the bank holiday I am determined to stick with it as the diary is empty pretty much until holiday in November.

Every time I lose my way I'm reminded of how much better I feel when I eat well and can't believe that I KEEP eating crap and making myself feel so rotten.

Anyway monologue over. Grin

Good for you Basin. Sometimes we have to let life take over and get back to it x

FoofFighter · 14/08/2017 09:48

Checking in too, not had the best week really, like Basin though I feel so sluggish and yucky. It's DC bday today though and she wants a chippy tea and of course there's cake to be consumed, so am just writing this week off and start afresh on Weds after wi. Be easier as they return to school tomorrow!

Groovee · 14/08/2017 09:51

Foof my 2 are back on Wednesday. I've found the holidays much easier than I thought they would be.

I think I need a chippy to get my bowel to move.

Holidays have been a challenge for me because I'm not studying, lo goes away for extended periods to her father's, I end up going to stay at my fellas house, then of course visitors and days out - it's all a bit muddled really! Plus I've never actually done SW at this time of year so it's all new to me.

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 09:55

Have been reading these threads for motivation off and on but absolutely need to get on plan so hope you don't mind if I join. Did it in the past and did lose a fair bit but not to target. Been trying to shift it with eating less rubbish and lots of exercise this month but have gained 2lbs Hmm so need to get on plan and stick to it.

Going to hit Aldi today for a SW shop and have planned my meals out. Sitting at around 172lbs at the minute and would say my target is 11stone so 154 lbs. I'm 5'9 so think that would be a more comfortable weight for me. I have PCOS and have really struggled to lose weight, contemplated low carb but just knew deep down it wasn't for me and I wouldn't stick to it. Need to see this as WOE.

Groovee · 14/08/2017 10:18

Welcome @SkeletonSkins. Planning ahead is a good way to start x

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 10:56

Thanks Grovee hope I can stay focused! Determined this time! Just had to route through the fridge for something suitable for breakfast as not been shopping yet. Had to defrost some berries in the micro ha! My plan today (hope you don't mind me posting as might keep me accountable ha)

B - apple and berries with fat free vanilla yog, glass of fresh orange (4 syns!! Need to cut that right out, buying cordial)
L - beans on wholemeal toast (heB) with tomatoes, cucumber, pear,
T omelette with ham, HEA cheese allowance, peas, tomatoes, picked onions, cucumber onions, baby sweetcorns
Dessert - crushed meringue (3 syns), strawberries, raspberries, fat free whipped cream (2 syns I think?)

Got HeA, HeB and 9 syns. 4 of which are bloody orange juice.

I can relate to your post, Basin. I've got things coming up this week that might conspire against me but, like you, I'm going to aim to be on track between those times.
I've gained 1 lb at WI but I know why so it's less upsetting than only losing 1/2 lb last week after trying really hard.

TurquoiseOwl · 14/08/2017 11:29

I don't think I've been on here much, but 2 lbs off for me, so 1 st 10.5 lbs down Smile

BasinHaircut · 14/08/2017 11:53

Well done turquoise you are doing so well!

Thanks all my head is just out of the game. But I'm using September as a turning point as it's all things change here. DS starts schooland I'm changing my working pattern giving me 2 free afternoons a week.

I'm planning on using them for cooking, getting my house in order and exercising. I can't bloody wait. I've struggled with the early years of parenthood and the lack of control of life that comes with it and I'm loooking forward to getting a bit more time back with this new routine.

Groovee · 14/08/2017 12:03

Well done Turquoise.

You will get that focus Basin x

TurquoiseOwl · 14/08/2017 12:29

Aw, thank you both! Smile

BlooBagoo · 14/08/2017 12:39

Awful weekend. Drawing a line for hopeful damage control before weigh in. Confused

Gorgosparta · 14/08/2017 12:50

Well done TurquoiseOwl thats a great achievment.

I am worried about weigh in tomorrow. First one. I have never done it on an afternoon and my period is due in the next few days. I feel different but dont know what to expect.

ALemonyPea · 14/08/2017 12:58

Well done Turquoise.

Skeleton, I have PCOS and found that eating carbs once a day works really well. I don't have bread for my HEB, just ryvita or oats, occasionally nuts or stewed fruit as well.

Good luck to those starting afresh are a few bad days. You ow you can do it, don't give up.

Last WI before holidays tomorrow. Hopefully in the lower bit of target. Was doing well until we went out for lunch yesterday. Had a little taster off everyone's plates and also had a Sunday dinner with roasties and honey roasted parsnips, hopefully itll not have too much of an effect on the scales.

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 14:55

Ah Lemony that's really interesting thanks! I'm having bread for lunch for my HeB but no carbs at tea time so will defo try and stick to that.

Congrats Turquoise! Fab loss!

Just really enjoyed my lunch. Had my two slices of 400g wholemeal bread toasted with beans and on the side had tomatoes, chopped pear and chopped peaches. Random I know but worked for me! Can't believe I'm on a diet and I'm full.

whatnextfred · 14/08/2017 15:09

Hi everyone

I did sw on line years ago to great success and rejoined on Wednesday. Have a stone and a lb to lose, lost all inclusive and months of eating and drinking too much. Just wanted to say Hi Smile

strawberrykiss36 · 14/08/2017 15:24

Can I join in? Started SW on Friday - set my target as 3 stone to lose but that's still right at the bottom of my "overweight" weight according to my height, so it's more like 3.5.

Been finding it all okay so far, only been having 5-7 syns a day but finding myself starving about the hour before lunch and dinner. Anyone have any snack ideas other than fruit? (Vegetarian btw)

Gorgosparta · 14/08/2017 15:28

How about yoghurt?

I like 0% fat total with fruit. Or get calorie free flavourings to perk it up. I use myprotein flavdrops.

Groovee · 14/08/2017 16:01

Welcome to all the new posters on the thread.

I still never know how weigh in will go.

I eat quark with a little sweetener as it's protein and fills me up if I need a wee snack.

SkeletonSkins · 14/08/2017 17:31

Think I might give quark and options hot choc a go, apparently good for a choc hit.

Got an exercise class in an hour or so, God I want a biscuit right now. I don't need it!!!

PennySillin · 14/08/2017 17:35

Thinking of joining tonight. Class is at 7.30. Have done WW before but put weight back on and have been kidding myself for weeks I can do this myself. Going round in circles a bit but really need to do something, feel bleurgh!

strawberrykiss36 · 14/08/2017 17:42

Ah yeah yoghurts a good idea - I like the sound of the options and quark too, although I've just been having one of the salted caramel ones each night for some syns as a hot chocolate, so nice!

Penny I was the same. Kept trying to get it off myself, losing about half a stone then binging and putting it all back on, so bit the bullet.
