Today I'm restarting slimming world, been doing it on line and would love a buddy or support.

Weighed this morning at 12st 7.5lbs and really want to be back to 11 stone in time for school holidays partly to get back into my summer clothes !

Struggling with motivation and can't exercise as hurt my leg 😥

Anyone want to join in x
Hoping my target is doable x

Morning ladies - or should i say good night yawning!!

Just finished my night shift and I must say I am so proud of myself. i did not touch a single biscuit, cake or chinese that was at work last night.. Talk about tempting but i resisted...

I stuck to the stuff that I had packed in my bag on the advice of the slimming world website for nightshifts and it worked perfectly. I am so hoping this robustness continues....

I hope you all have a fantastic day.... Smile

SharkSkinThing · 15/06/2017 08:01

Amazing twinkle that's incredible. You should be really proud of yourself. The next weigh in will be totally worth it!

Hope you are feeling rested, Mulch. Is the Rachel's yoghurt free?

My DS (6), always an early waker (5am), is having a 4.30am stretch. We have been here before, but god it's soul destroying. It makes me want to open the wine at 4pm! Such prolonged sleep deprivation is what led to my weight gain. But I'm determined to get through this time without reaching for the crisps.

Today:

BF: Cottage cheese and salad
LU: Chicken salad
DI: Jacket and beans

Usual HEX's and snacks, and 13,000 steps.

Happy Thursday all.

00alwaysbusymum · 15/06/2017 08:07

Morning - OMG shark how do you cope?
Lack of sleep really made me out on a lot of weight years ago as I would eat to give me energy to get through the day.

Well done twinkle, sharing your pain as it's another birthday in our team at work so more cake today !

Today
Breakfast nectarine & banana
Lunch ham & egg salad
Dinner Morrocan chicken & veg & rice with salad

Good luck everyone x

always I ate and ate and ate and drank and drank some more!

He does at least sleep through from 8pm...the first five years when he didn't were pretty dark!

The Moroccan chicken sounds delicious - is that one of your own recipes?

Mulch · 15/06/2017 09:15

I feel your pain shark them sleepless nights feel so personal and never ending. Not sure how it fits slimming world I'm just freestyling my diet. I did sw previously but high carb low fat doesn't agree with me. Whenever I eat carbs even the good ones like rice ect it makes me crazy hungry. I'm sadly one of those people that have to manipulate them and do a fuckton of cardio.

Groovee · 15/06/2017 13:40

I still remember ds being a poor sleeper. Hugs x

Met a friend today who didn't realise it was me from behind! Nice NSV!

SharkSkinThing · 15/06/2017 13:54

Aw, thanks guys. This too shall pass, right?

Result, Groovee!

Me too, Mulch. Hence all the walking and swimming....

00alwaysbusymum · 15/06/2017 17:08

Yes shark morrocan chicken is made up Smile

Dice 1 courgette in big chunks and fry with fry light,

When starts to soften add 2 or 3 chicken breasts sliced and carry on cooking.

Add a couple of tablespoons of my favourite mix Schwartz perfect seasoning Moroccan and some chilli powder

Carry on frying with loads of halved mushrooms

Add either a tin of chopped tomatoes and some water or a load of baby plum tomatoes and some water and summer till cooked.

I normally serve with rice and salad

Can I join? Or can we (DH & I) join? Both want to lose 1.5 stone, as much as possible in 8wks for our holiday. Have done Sw last year and both lost between 1 and 1.5 stone each, which was fab! Have gradually out it all back on but def up for shedding it now! X

twinkle183 · 15/06/2017 17:55

Evening...

Just getting ready for my second night shift - just hoping i am as strong as last night Hmm

SharkSkinThing and Mulch i have the same problem with carbs so usually carb cycle by just eating carbs after workouts e.g. pasta, rice, potatoes..

Big hug Mulch i have no idea how you do it.. my youngest is now 8 so the days of early mornings have disappeared unless i am on a 12hr dayshift.

00alwaysbusymum that chicken sounds lovely..... always up for trying something new

So am as organised as last night - packed lunch bag sorted - only allowed myself a fudge...

I wish i had the energy to exercise between nights but the fact is i struggle with my own name! Wink

Welcome Char22Thom - good luck with your journey....

Those that are doing step counting are you using fitbits????

Well better get a shower and then hi, ho, hi, ho its off to work, I go....

Have a fabulous evening ladies and gent... lol and I will be on in the morning to let you know how it is going.....

SharkSkinThing · 15/06/2017 20:27

Hey Char and DH - welcome!

Thanks for the recipe, always, will be making that soon, sounds great.

Twinkle I just use a pedometer clipped onto my belt/knickers/leggings! It seems to be surviving, and I'm averaging 13,000 steps a day (but I have to consciously walk extra to achieve that).

:)

That's fine with me, as I also swim three times a week and do one yoga session (though I am very, very bad at yoga. This week I farted whilst trying to do a hand stand. I don't think I was caught!).

Char22thom · 15/06/2017 21:12

Just reading through all posted- what is fasted walk?? X

Mulch · 15/06/2017 21:21

Fasted walk/exercise is where you havent eaten so I have breakfast at lunch

Mulch · 15/06/2017 21:25

Felt really hungry today so ate a little bit more, don't want to ignore my body signals and get to the weekend on crappy food.

Fasted walk 1.5hr
Breakfast eggs and ham
Lunch chicken and broccoli, Rachels raspberry Yogurt, oranges
Dinner steak, Peppers, tomatoes, onions
Snacks frozen grapes(taste like sorbet) eggs and slice beef

Mulch · 16/06/2017 11:47

Measured myself today so I'll hopefully stay on track for weekend

35-34inches 1inch down
44inches the same

Any tips for staying on track? Feeling abit disheartened got a christening to go to and was hoping I'd be back in my prepregnancy gear by now but 5months later I still live in leggings

Groovee · 16/06/2017 15:07

What about looking at new recipes Mulch? Planning your days and a before photo x

SharkSkinThing · 16/06/2017 17:34

Hi gang...sorry for late posting but been running around all day.

Motivation....just keeping in the moment, really, and not thinking about how much there is to go still! Enjoying each tiny change. So what if you are in leggings for this christening? You won't be at the next event!

My DS is 7 next month and I am still not my pre-preg weight!

You are doing so well, just try your best! 🍉

All my meals and snacks on plan, plus 50 minute swim and 16,500 steps so far due to walking so much today.

But it's Wine Friday, so about to get stuck in!

Have great evenings everyone. 💚💛💚

twinkle183 · 16/06/2017 18:16

Evening ladies or should i say morning!!!!

So have just go up and had my breakfast - scrambled egg and bacon for the third time - starting to get sick of it!!! Have been really organised again this evening but its the same as i had the last two nights - really need to start changing things up and get inventive.

Mulch motivation is something that i really struggle with but have a goal - which is ibiza! we are going on a holiday just me and dh with his best friend and his skinny gf... i refuse to be the whale!!!! Blush. I just keep that in mind!

So its that time so better go

00alwaysbusymum · 16/06/2017 22:43
