Today I'm restarting slimming world, been doing it on line and would love a buddy or support.

Weighed this morning at 12st 7.5lbs and really want to be back to 11 stone in time for school holidays partly to get back into my summer clothes !

Struggling with motivation and can't exercise as hurt my leg 😥

Anyone want to join in x
Hoping my target is doable x

Well done shark that's amazing!

Mulch · 02/07/2017 12:41

Well done shark that's amazing. Twinkle you have some serious discipline.

busyboysmum · 02/07/2017 18:41

Had a bit of a deviation yesterday with this lovely weather. Had a barby and went off plan I'm afraid.

Back on it today. Have resisted the temptation to finish off everyone else's Kentucky fried chicken which was bought as ds1 completed his silver DofE 3 day hike today.

Did have half a left over ice cream but otherwise have been good today.

It's hard.......

SharkSkinThing · 03/07/2017 06:36

Thanks everyone. Signed up for two more, not like me at all but loving the focus it gives me.

It is hard, busy! One small step at a time and we'll get closer.

BF: Yoghurt and fruit
LU: Ham salad
DI: Omlette and veg

Usual snacks and HEX's. Aiming for 13,000 steps as always, plus I have yoga tonight. Which I'm crap at as my boobs get in the way, but it's a nice, relaxed class.

Feeling very focused for Friday's weigh in. Good luck everyone and Happy Monday.

🍎🌟🍎

MiniCooperLover · 03/07/2017 07:58

Well done Shark!

First weigh in today was 4.5lb off, I was on track for more but had a lunch out Sat and Sunday that was difficult to control. Back on track with overnight oats mixed in with a banana and will exercise when my son is at school.

Mulch · 03/07/2017 08:41

Well done mini that's great! Plans this week aiming to stick to diet but have a meal out Tues which will be testing. Just under two weeks left so need to make it count

SharkSkinThing · 03/07/2017 17:49

Nice one, Mini you must be delighted.

Eye on the prize, Mulch!

busyboysmum · 03/07/2017 17:56

Mini that's a brilliant first weigh in. Well done.

I'm back on track today with lots of fruit.and healthy soup at work then a huge salad for tea followed by a smoothie.

Feeling determined. Crack on everyone.

Newbiecat · 03/07/2017 19:21

Oh you're all doing really well. I haven't posted the last few days after a meal out Friday and my little one has been poorly the last couple of days and I guiltily confess to eating 1 slice of homemade choc cake ( made her feel a bit better tho so I'm glad I made it!) and 3 breadsticks with Nutella Blush today plus no walk to school run. I'm going mad stuck indoors!
Just deciding now if I can be bothered to go for a run tonight as still got tea to cook.
I think if I lose this Wednesday it won't be much but hey ho, that's life with 3 kids!

SharkSkinThing · 04/07/2017 08:05

Be kind to yourself, Newbie. This stuff is hard enough to focus on, let alone when kids are involved! I hope your little one is feeling better.

BF: Eggs and beans
LU: Fruit and yoghurt
DI: Chicken salad

Hour training swim and as many steps as possible. Having to work today so things a bit rushed but hey ho!

Happy Tuesday all! 🍉🍐🍉

Newbiecat · 04/07/2017 14:39

Thanks Shark. More sleep had by all so I'm back on it! My DD went back to school this afternoon and baby napped for ages so I managed 2.5 miles on the treadmill my friend has lent us- thank goodness for baby monitors!
B- shreddies
L- ham and cheese and tomato salad
T- bacon and spinach pasta - SW recipe
I made a balti curry last night from the SW website and it was lovely.
2nd weigh in tomorrow - gulp!

Mulch · 04/07/2017 15:36

Happy days newbie, glad your back on it.

busyboysmum · 04/07/2017 21:28

Help I'm so hungry and grumpy and don't seem to have lost any more weight for days.

All around me my family of men and boys are tucking into goodies and I'm not and for what?

Sorry.. .. just having a moment. An apple and an orange just aren't cutting it this evening.

twinkle183 · 04/07/2017 21:45

Evening ladies

So weighed in today and I just stayed the same! But thats okay cos I am tom... and I always retain water so hoping for a good loss next week!!

Mini thats a fantastic loss well done....
BusyBoys we all have moments like that - when I feel like that I head for the quark and some strawberries and then add a meringue nest (3 syns), it allows me to feel naughty too! Also its funny cos it looks so nice I end up making it for everyone!! Smile

So been to a hen party and only had one cake - serious restraint going on Halo so determined to get to target!!!

The organisation seems to be getting easier to mention the huge amount of money I am saving when not going to the canteen for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! I starting three 12hr shift tomorrow - so may not be on much... but keep going girlies! We will see results.... just remember to keep shaking things up as your body will get use to changes....!

You girls really are keeping me going! I always look forward to seeing how you are all doing!!

Well Done Grin

Newbiecat · 05/07/2017 13:02

busy boys I feel for you, I've found it hard going this week I have to say. Just weighed in at 11/2 pounds less but I reckon would have been 1lb if I hadn't intentionally had such a small bowl of fruit & low fat yoghurt for breakfast Grin
Cooking myself salmon and couscous now and I am determined to get 2-3lb off this week!
I may have been over counting healthy extras too now my breastfeeding is cutting down.
I've really increased my running and I've done 3 2-3 mile runs this week. It's only just dawned on me that maybe I should be measuring my waist etc since muscle bulk weighs more. Has anyone got any advice on doing this?

Mulch · 05/07/2017 13:46

Newbie I measure myself once a week in the morning before I've eaten anything. I measure my waist at smallest point and biggest point. Also take photos in the same outfit. Every week chops and changes, sometimes I've lost no weight but an inch or lost weight with no change In measurements.

SharkSkinThing · 06/07/2017 07:29

Aw, busy, don't beat yourself up. It is really hard.

I really know how you feel - I swing between wanting to be thinner and see my clothes fit better, not feel heavy and tired and hot, and then feeling like it's compromising my feminist principles. Why can't I just be me? Why can't I just eat what I want, be happy and content and bugger society? I swim, I am healthy, I am a nice person!

I expect we all have all sorts of emotional issues embedded in our food habits.

Be kind to yourself. Ok? Food is not the enemy.

Today for me:

BF: Fruit
LU: Potato salad
DI: Pasta and veggies

Another sea swim later, and the usual HEX's and snacks. DS is obsessed with Pokémon trading cards at the moment so no doubt we'll be up the park after school, and I'll be walking laps to get my steps up!

Out with work tomorrow for a leaving do, which will be lovely, but I'm so tired!

Mulch · 07/07/2017 08:32

Wasn't expecting a result being my lady time but 1kg down. Waist 33inches no change 2inches off in total so far. Largest part 43.5inches 2.5 inches off in total. How's everyone getting on?

SharkSkinThing · 07/07/2017 09:42

Well done Mulch - fantastic!

I have maintained this week - FFS! Why???!!!

I have been spot on, and have been swimming 6 days out of 7, as well as walking and yoga! I know sometimes it all catches up the next week, but feeling a bit pissed off. Can't even blame my lady time either!

I am out tonight, for drinks with friends with work, but will try not to self destruct!

Mulch · 07/07/2017 15:46

Thanks shark, whenever I've been doing a lot of or just recent exercise my weight just does not move. Think it might be fluid retention or muscle inflammation but after a few days rest I see that dial finally move abit

SharkSkinThing · 10/07/2017 09:21

Wise words, Mulch, I will try and remember these!

I had the weekend off , which I think I needed. Back on it today and feeling very focused after spending yesterday batch cooking and planning my food.

4 weeks until our holiday, and aiming for another half a stone, meaning a stone since we started. My end goal is a total of 4 stone by Christmas, so manageable.

BF: Scrambled eggs
LU: Rice and vegetable salad
DI: Ham omelette

Lots of watermelon for snacking, yoga later and 15,000 steps. I am also going to be wine free for 4 weeks to help get things moving.

Happy Monday all!

Mulch · 10/07/2017 20:06

You sound a lady with a plan shark! What's everyones plans for the week? I'm going full keto until Fri which is 4 days and most of today done. Not that I'm counting or anything

SharkSkinThing · 10/07/2017 21:43

I will not be beaten! 😀

SharkSkinThing · 11/07/2017 06:45

Morning all. Day off for me so time to swim, walk and write. I am training for a 3k sea swim and a 5k lido swim which is helping me to stay motivated. Also hit 15,005 steps yesterday!

BF: Eggs and ham
LU: Chicken salad
DI: Veggie curry

Addicted to satsumas at the moment, unusual for me as I'm not a huge fruit eater.

Usual snacks, HEX's, steps and a long swim.

Hope everyone is doing well and doing OK. 🍉🍐🍉

SharkSkinThing · 12/07/2017 05:40

Hello everyone.

Wednesday is my long day at work where get trapped at my desk, but still aiming for a decent amount of steps.

BF: Cottage cheese and crudités
LU: Left over veggie curry
DI: Jacket and beans

Only seem to be having one Hex (sunflower seeds on my yoghurt) but feel OK on it. The test will be not having wine this week!

Hope everyone else is OK (and still on the thread!).
