We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

I hope this gets sorted quickly for you Calzone, you must feel wiped out :(

We need a new fridge freezer so will have to do the same and have a restock.

Doing h/m turkey burgers or Turkey chilli tomorrow for dinner, and lunch time doing homemade nuggets as DD has a little friend over.
Want to try the salmon & prawn fishcakes from this months mag soon too.

Groovee · 13/04/2017 06:58

Oh oh oh I can feel the effects of Burlesque. Dunno if I can walk 😢

BasinHaircut · 13/04/2017 07:30

Here is some of my meal plan for the next week if it's any help....

Tomato and chorizo spaghetti with feta and salad

Chick pea and sweet potato curry, rice and sugar snap peas

Paprika chicken and rice (Risotto type thing) and salad

Roe, potato wedges and BNS

Linda McCartney sausages, peas and carrot, swede and potato mash

Weighing in tonight and feeling good. Fx for a loss.

Frouby · 13/04/2017 07:52

Morning all.

Not logged for a week as been doing MFP alongside sw and found I was constantly thinking about what I was eating.

Finding it different to log everything with calories in mind rather than syns. But easier and not as limiting. I don't have a big appetite and don't actually eat a lot. Finding 1250 cals quite doable. Especially combined with lots of salad and veg. So still eating in a sw style but watching the volume of some of the free food, especially carbs.

Have just weighed myself and am 1lb down from my last sw wi and 2lbs down from last week. And it's star week and I haven't had a poo for 3 days (due to star week and a reduced amount of food I think). So am happy with that.

Groovee · 13/04/2017 08:26

Nice to see you @Frouby and well done on the loss x

SideOrderofSprouts · 13/04/2017 09:32

Morning all. According to my phone I walked 5,000 steps yesterday. 2.2 miles!

00100001 · 13/04/2017 10:27

Found you all!

Thingsgettingstranger · 13/04/2017 10:28

Hi all. Am thinking of doing SW but not sure. Need to lose 1st 5lbs. Could someone tell me a bit more about it. I know there's different types of plans but I don't know an awful lot about it.

FaithAgain · 13/04/2017 10:43

Hi binary!

Hello there Things. Personally I would highly recommend SW. I've gone from being obese to overweight so far - lost 2 1/2 stone Smile since October.

Basically it's pretty simple. Most carbs, fruit and veg are 'free'. You can have a certain amount of dairy and fibre per day (you're given an idea of portions). Anything above that you count. You get 5-15 'syns' to have on treats. These include sweets and chocolate, alcohol, sauces, extra fibre or dairy. You're encouraged to have fruit and veg with every meal, preferably those labelled as 'speed' food (all in the book). This will fill you up and decrease your likelihood of snacking. You are meant to eat when you're hungry.

There are certain foods that are 'free' like muller lights and mug shots. Personally I avoid these! (Hate the taste of sweetener). I cook a lot from scratch, have loads of fruit and veg. I've never felt deprived or starving on SW. If you stick around on this thread, you'll see what people eat in a day and how they use their syns. It's well explained at your first meeting.

Typical day for me-
B: GF cereal with a sliced banana and a squeeze of honey (1 syn for the honey, that's my fibre and most of my dairy allowance - I use the rest for milk in tea).
L: Tuna salad with GF pasta (2 syns for low fat mayonnaise). Apple.
D: Usually meat with potatoes and veg. Also have bolognese, cottage pie, chilli and rice.
I often have a frozen curly Wurly or a Freddo as a treat (6 and 5 syns respectively).

NotStoppedAllDay · 13/04/2017 10:44

So 22 and a half pounds gone...BUT.....not really dropped a dress size yet? Work trousers still slightly tight on the waist!

What's going on, I don't understand it

Groovester · 13/04/2017 12:03

A pound off for me this morning. Was expecting a wee gain/maintain so really pleased. So...holiday has been had, I've managed to claw it back and now I'm back on track. Pleased as a week without any syns was starting to cause me pain! Phew!

4 stones 2.5 pounds GONE!

OrianaBanana · 13/04/2017 12:31

1lb off this week. A bit disappointed as I was 100% on it this week. Ah well, Easter week now. I've worked out the hot cross buns I want to make are 10 syns each so I'll freeze them individually. I'll try and portion my egg into reasonable size portions too.

Beef ragu pasta bake tonight, looks nice (let's hope it is!).

OrianaBanana · 13/04/2017 12:40

Today:

B - bacon sandwich (2+HExB1), coffee (HExA1)
L - speed salad with turkey, ham and egg
D - beef ragu pasta bake (HExA2), asparagus, broccoli (it has other speed in it)
S - hifis (HExB2), latte (HExA3), mozzarella (sneaked it while making the bake (HExA4), orange, clementine, coffee and tea.

Groovee · 13/04/2017 12:52

Well done @Groovester and @OrianaBanana

Just took Ds to subway for lunch. Then we popped into matalan! I got a new hoody. Ds got some joggers.

My Fitbit is all set up. I slept 7 hours last night.

ALemonyPea · 13/04/2017 14:28

Welcome newbies, well done losers.

NotStopped, depends on how much you have to lose before your clothes start to be loose. Maybe try some smaller clothes on rather than rely on your current clothes.

I forgot I won the raffle this week. Won scan bran 😂😂😂.

So making a scan bran cake x

NotStoppedAllDay · 13/04/2017 15:50

4 stone to lose in total. Nearly half of that gone now

I'm hoping for a London marathon slimming world place for next year

They seem to have a fair few runners

LavenderRains · 13/04/2017 18:51

groovester we have lost exactly the same now!! Grin

OwlinaTree · 13/04/2017 19:01

Well done losers!

OrianaBanana · 13/04/2017 19:20

Oh Groovee show us the cake! Which cake will you make?

This was the ragu bake! V nice. Next time though I'll mix penne or spirals through the ragu before putting it in the dish - I don't like when uncovered pasta gets cooked and rubbery in the oven.

0.8lb on for me today, we were away over the weekend and I may have eaten chips twice and rather more bread than SW recommends.

PA - grr, how annoying, I'd be giving that pub a little review on Trip Advisor Wink.

BasinHaircut · 13/04/2017 19:43

oriana that looks delicious! What is the recipe please?

2lbs off for me tonight and got my club 10! So chuffed I'm only 1lb off being sub-11stone now (I'm 11st 0.5lbs) and can't remember the last time I was less than 11.

Hopefully this will help me not to go too mad over the weekend. Although I may have bought hot x buns for breakfast and plan to have them with real butter, mmmmm. I told myself I wouldn't have them if I lost less than 1 lbs tonight so I think I deserve them Grin

BasinHaircut · 13/04/2017 20:08

Oh plan dinner for tonight though
