We are all hiding in here, away from the hot cross buns and Easter eggs.

Welcome all, old and new.

Haha boat. Dd would eat Cajun chicken pasta daily if I let her.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 28/05/2017 21:58

Thanks for the link grooves

ALemony thanks, I went to that receipe site you recommended, was reading one of the posts, by the time I got to the actual receipe I'd forgotten what I'd even selected to look at 😂

Groovee · 29/05/2017 08:33

Cast, I struggle with the artificial sugar principle too. I have had several months of coconut oil, full fat etc. Lost a few pounds then maintained. I have decided the health benefits of losing weight will outweigh the muller lights! Though I have suffered with headaches since I started 4 weeks ago which I am sure is connected. But I've had a sighting of my waist already, hurray! I'm determined to stick to it and have a countdown card. I've paid for it so I'll be going.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 29/05/2017 10:20

My group leader said the countdown card will be starting next week , I'm going to get one, with a 12 week start I hope that whatever I lose in that time will then be enough to keep me going.

I tend to lose focus but if I can get enough weight off, that then becomes motivation in itself.

ALemonyPea · 29/05/2017 10:25

I hate mullerlights, they're awful. If you feel you should be eating yoghurt, can I suggest Danone Light and Free ones. They're Greek style, have pieces of fruit in and lovely and filling. They're also free, less calories that mullerlights as well. They're bringing out a lemon flavour one, I can't wait to try it.

FoofFighter · 29/05/2017 14:46

Never a mullerlight or a mugshit crosses my lips, think they are awful! Totally doable on SW to avoid all that kind of stuff, although I can see it's grab n go uses.
Also totally doable to not stuff yourself full of pasta if you don't want to. I have it once a week maybe.

mutley1 · 29/05/2017 14:50

Hi Everyone
Weighed today (first week) and have lost 3.5 lbs so I'm now below 11st mark. I'm pleased and hopefully will keep motivated as I know I've got to stick with it for the long haul to really see any difference

good loss mutley, well done :D

ALemonyPea · 29/05/2017 16:59

Well done Mutley.

Foof, I only have pasta/potatoes/rice with one meal a day, and even then it's roughly a quarter of my plate. I find it helps with my weight loss. No way would I be able to pile my plate high with carbs and have a loss. I'm not sure how people do manage a loss eating huge portions.

FoofFighter · 29/05/2017 17:48

When it was the old green and red plans, I simply would not lose weight, and even sometimes put ON weight doing green, white carbs are not my friend unfortunately as I LOVE pasta.

Groovee · 29/05/2017 17:52

Well done Mutley!

I was always hungry on green days. I do love extra easy as I can have chips if I want but also fish 😂

ALemonyPea · 29/05/2017 18:33

I couldn't get away with the old style SW. Did WW for years on and off, but couldn't stick with it. Wish I'd done SW when they started the new plan, I'd be thin already.

emwithme · 29/05/2017 18:55

Back in The Olden Days I mainly did red, because I could gain a fuckton of weight eating ALL THE PASTA. I loved it when EE started but sometimes I did miss the second A choice!

I'm going to need to shake my food up, though, DH has just got a new job (YAY) but it's 12 hour shifts, 4-on-4-off. He's pretty easy to please though, very traditional, would eat some form of "meat, potato, vegetable" 5 days out of 7.

Also need to shake it up because we got a BFP today Grin so my new mantra is "today, I am pregnant". Bit worried it will all go to shit like in March but just praying for a healthy, sticky bean. So my plan for hopefully the next 9 months is (1) don't vomit when feeding the cats - although hopefully I won't be feeling pukey for the whole 9 months and (2) eat sensibly and healthily, without worrying too much about what I'm having but also without eating ALL THE CHOCOLATE AND CHEESE.

Groovee · 29/05/2017 19:06

Congratulations Em x

LavenderRainbows · 29/05/2017 19:08

Fab news em fingers crossed this timeFlowers
Welcome newbies. We had a big annual family picnic today. I made myself a sw friendly sarny and left it behind!! So had lots of fruit and some pops crisps.
I'm not keen on mullers. I second the Danone ones or I have natural Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey. I hardly have pasta as I don't like it much.

OwlinaTree · 29/05/2017 19:46

Congratulations em. Keeping everything crossed for you here.

I'm getting fed up with this constant talk of sw pushing mugshots and Muller lights. That's never been my experience. My leaders never say much about them, and have always talked about eating filling foods etc. Some people like Muller lights, some don't. Some people like mug shots, some don't. Neither standpoint is a crime!

FoofFighter · 29/05/2017 20:05

Same here, it was only mentioned at group if a new flavour came out that everyone raved about.

Lovely news Em, congratulations Flowers

PositiveAttitude · 29/05/2017 20:26

Congratulations Em

My niece's wedding at the weekend. it was brilliant from the social/fun side of things. As far as SW goes, it started well. The meal was a hog roast in a bun (which I declined) with loads of salads. I thought I was on to a winner!!!!! Then I discovered a hoard of pimms. A quick google at the table and I discovered that pimms is low syns, so I was even more pleased.........but an over indulgence in pimms has a serious effect on will power. In fact it was like a pendulum effect. The more pimms that went into me the more will power seeped out of every pore until I was so full of pimms there was no room for any will power......and then the chocolate cake and cup cakes appeared. Blush I ate a years worth!!!! Blush Blush Blush
This morning I peeked at the scales and had put on 5lb!!!! 5 bloody lb of frigging yummy chocolate cake and a load of cupcakes. It is going to take me weeks to get that off. A few hours indulgence and now weeks of hard work. Angry

Not looking forward to WI tomorrow.

ALemonyPea · 29/05/2017 20:38

Em that's lovely news. Sending lots of sticky vibes. Hope your morning sickness isn't too bad, and the odd eating what you like won't do much harm, you're at target after all.

PA, it's a one off, and it'll not be real weight, just sake weight and should be off by next week. Don't beat yourself up, I'd have down the same and had the hog roast as well

OwlinaTree · 29/05/2017 22:48

Lol PA, that made me laugh so much! lemony is right and it will come back off quick.

Bet you had a great evening!!

Groovester · 29/05/2017 23:29

Welcome noobs.
em wonderful news!
pa you've already done so well you know it can come off again just as quickly. As long as you enjoyed yourself. We've all still to live!

Work conference today with lunch supplied. I took fruit and a yoghurt. Was at a wedding on Saturday and enjoyed the buffet so clawing it back and having a strict week to compensate. I'm feeling like I've lost this week though so fingers crossed!

Groovee · 30/05/2017 06:19

PA you make me laugh but I am sure the weigh in scales will be different.

I have a urine sample to collect! I hate trying to get one.
