Well done groovester!

lilac it's likely sugar withdrawal. Try to pre-plan food for the day, especially SW friendly snacks for if you feel your energy getting a bit low. It will pass but you need to get through t best you can!

em your body will do what it needs to do whilst you are growing a person! I am a firm believer in that. just do what you can.

Em just backing up what others said. The first trimester in all my pregnancies were always about chips, mash, white toast and crisps. The thought of fruit or veg made me heave (except mango with one of the girls) my second trimesters were a bit healthier!

Good day yesterday and feeling positive about today. I'm out on Saturday night at a Sri Lankan restaurant no on line menu which is making me a little nervous! Has anyone ever eaten Sri Lankan?
I'm guessing maybe curries? But I have no idea really.

Yesterday was a total washout. Spent most of the time from 2pm throwing up, bloody kids and their germs. Still feeling ropey this morning, a few days off my food will have a good effect on my weight loss I suppose Hmm

Em, the first trimester is the hardest food wise. Eat whatever you can keep down.

Em I have a 7 month old DS and he must be 50% pot noodle 49% rustler burger and 1% healthy food Grin I had no real appetite and almost constant nausea all through pregnancy and junk food was the only thing I could reliably force down

I've just done the first day of the beginners 30 day shred. I'm dead proud of myself, I've not exercised for years. I managed to do it all the way through without stopping I did shout fuck off Gillian a couple of times! my legs and arms feel like jelly now though I think I'm going to hurt tomorrow.

Em I ate a revolting amount of pizza with a fuckton of anchovies on in the first 4 months of pregnancy. I used to buy cheese and tomato pizza from the supermarket and then smother it in anchovies and extra cheese and olives Grin.

Ds is fine and was a healthy weight and I only put 2.5st on all way through. After the first 6 months I was plagued by acid indigestion so didn't eat much so it all balanced out.

2 lbs off today, so 12 lbs since mid-January but according to my Slimming World records half a stone in total. And I don't get an award (my 2 stone) until I've lost 2 stone 5 in total since Jan as I've had the others already! Sad

Why didn't I just rejoin??

Poor you lemony, hope the kids are better so you can at least feel sorry for yourself properly!

So today I got lunch bought for me from the food market opposite work. A chicken and lamb wrap. I'm assuming probably 20 syns but rest of the day was/will be on plan and syn free so I'm not too worried.

It was bloody delicious so totally worth it too.

oriana, yes you should have re-joined! Can you do that now??

What a happened to calzone after her 'I've been bad' post? did I miss it or is she in hiding because we all threatened her with the stick?Grin

Thanks everyone. Just had an Indian takeaway to celebrate. I chose wisely. Chicken shashlik which is like tandoori and comes with lots of tomatoes, onions and peppers.
Resisted a huge slice of homemade Victoria sponge filled with fresh cream and fruit at lunchtime for a work colleague's birthday.
Back on it in the morning.

I gained 4lbs this week Blush. I was disappointed but know I deserved it, after 2 weeks off and lots of birthday celebrations. Back on track now and determined to get it off again! Today's food:

B - banana
L - homemade chicken soup
D - steak, new potatoes, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and courgettes
S - a hifi (HEB) and will probably have some pufts later (3.5)

I joined last week and it's going OK (so far). I'm filling in the online planner with everything I eat and then transferring it to the weekly food sheet I was asked to do for next week. BUT I'm getting all confused. I make a lot of soup, it's just vegetables, water and a stock cube, but there is no way of adding that to the planner, so do I just list the veg that's in it?

Just had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast.

Everyone on my FB group seems to be doing SP - I struggle with this because I don't eat meat. It is still possible to lose while eating pasta/spuds, isn't it?

I am counting down to a holiday in 10 weeks - hoping that a stone and a half is doable in that time.

Morning folks!

Have been reading through this latest thread and some of your losses to date are absolutely fantastic! Really!!! Groovster, Lavender, Positive & others, it's very inspiring to read how successful some of you have been during your weight-loss journeys, and it's made me so determined to lose all I need to lose.

Great advice up thread to focus on the small goal of losing 1/2 stone increments, rather than the end target, which in my case seems sooooo far away at present!

Still, staying positive, I lost a further 3 1/2 lbs at my WI this morning, so that's 15 1/2 lbs since I started 4 weeks ago. I'm delighted I've had such a good month and am over that first stone threshold! And although I know my weight loss may begin to slow, it's helping me project where my loss total could be next month, and the following month and so on. Amazingly, I'm not dreading summer the way I usually do!

My only regret is that I didn't begin at the start of the year as I could be so much further on. Ho hum! But I'm on it now and there will be no stopping me, just you watch! GrinWink

I have the same dilemma, Agnes. My consultant has told me generic terms such as veg pasta bake (homemade) won't do but there isn't room to include every last ingredient on the standard sheet they give us. I've created my own diary sheet using a word document which I'm filling in this week in the hope that she'll be happier with my diary.

Welcome newbies.

I have the joys of BIL being here this weekend, so every conversation with him revolves around what I should be eating, what he eats etc. I can kill him right? Beat him to death with a courgette? What an arsehole. Usually I hide in my room and fill my fade when he visits, can't do that now though. Might pretend to be ill again and just go to bed.

Youre I've lost over 2 stone since October and never done SP. I eat mostly unprocessed carbs (lots of potatoes, brown rice). Most people only do SP if they need to boost their weight loss. I'm happily losing 1-2lb most weeks just sticking on plan.

Lemony I think with someone like that you have a few choices. Nod and smile, say 'whatever' type statements, 'thanks for the input'. Personally I like to play bingo, how many times will he mention it during the visit?!

I only record my syns. Any more than that and I get a bit fixated and am more likely to fall off the waggon!

I need to get my head back in the game.

Saw a doctor yesterday re one of my pre-existing conditions which could well get FAR worse during pregnancy (IIH, for anyone interested). She wants me to gain no more than 12kg (1 stone 12 lbs) during this pregnancy and ideally a maximum 10kg (1 stone 10lbs). Bearing in mind I gained 5 lbs over the past two weeks, I'm fucked. Although she was thrilled with the progress I've made since I was first referred to her (I didn't see her for the last two appointments, I saw one of her Registrars or whatever they're called these days ) bearing in mind I've lost 4 stone since then - apparently she wishes everyone would do what they were told like I did!

Now I know the past two weeks have been awful (assessments at college, bleeding etc) but I just can't face "healthy" food. All I want is white bread (toast with LOTS of proper butter), cheese, crisps. All the stuff that I've been avoiding studiously since starting SW.

I just need to get back into it, and get back to how I was before. One pound at a time. And one pound a week adds up to 3 stone 10lbs in a year... (and an average of 0.75 lbs in a week got me to target in 17 months so slow and steady does win the race!)

Soooo, apparently as I won biggest lose at group I am entitled to enter the national competition but have to sign away my right to privacy re photos on magazines etc
BUT I have lost almost 4 stone whereas most people in the mags have lost 6 stone at least! ( lemony should win I reckon )
so I might not bother. What do people think??
