I'm the same basin, been on it this week, managed a couple of social events well and hoping for at least 2lb off tomorrow to get last week's gain off plus some!

However, then we are all over the place for Easter weekend, plus chocolate. It's my dh birthday so me and him are going out for a meal (first time since baby was born), so will be off plan for that. Then I'm on holiday for a week!

Really need a good result this week I think!

OwlinaTree · 10/04/2017 09:24

Got to enjoy life, it's just trying to get that balance!

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2017 11:25

Exactly owlina, I am hoping to be sub 11 stones by end of April but with the amount of stuff going on I'll be lucky to not gain overall to be fair.

NSV today though, dug out the summer clothes and everything I didn't wear last year because it was a bit tight fits! Some of the stuff I was wearing last summer is too big.

OrianaBanana · 10/04/2017 11:43

I'm hoping to get to 11st 6lbs by the end of April, which will be 1.5 stone off where I started at the end of January. 20lbs in 3 months wouldn't be so bad Smile

Today's plan:

B - yoghurt, blueberries, nectarine, strawberries, coffee with HExA1 milk
L - speed salad with the Tesco ham hock pieces (delicious and free!), boiled egg and soldiers (HExB1)
D - SW Cajun chicken and wedges plus random speed veg from the fridge (prob broccoli and carrots)
S - hifi lights (HExB2), crumpet plus butter (6.5), Philly light with carrot sticks and sweet chilli sauce (HExA2 and 1.5 syns), flat white (HExA3) and prob some cheese for snacking (HExA4). Also clementines and apple if hungry.

8 syns? Hopefully if I take a hifi light out with me I can resist the coffee shop cakes.

Does anyone else's family eat their nice slimming world stuff? It irrationally annoys me. Spicy beetroot is a TREAT to me dammit, and DH ate it because 'it was there' and he thought it was a bit spicy Hmm Then he ate the rest of the roast beef last night because 'it needs eating' despite the fact we had had roast beef for LUNCH and I was looking forward to having some at lunch today. He drank my Pepsi max after telling me not to buy it because it wasn't good for me, because he likes it.Angry Why can't he buy his own stuff if he wants it?

OrianaBanana · 10/04/2017 11:45

Agreed Owlinatree, after this week's weigh in I have hot cross buns (a real weakness of mine) and Easter eggs to contend with so I'm really concentrating!!

Glad DS is better Basin.

latedecember1963 · 10/04/2017 13:25

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. I've lost 1.5 lbs this morning so I've lost last week's gain & a little more.
My consultant has the patience of a saint. This morning's gem from a lady who was most disgruntled at her little gain was that she had eaten one of her grandchildren's Easter eggs and had then eaten her other grandchild's E egg in order to be "fair"! Lots of chat ensued about the perils of Easter chocolate. When I was giggling with DS2 about it later he said I was making chocolate sound like a class A drug.

OrianaBanana · 10/04/2017 13:46

ALWAYS there are people in my group who are pissed off with a small gain, and then it turns out they had the weekend off-plan, or three meals out, or whatever!

calzone · 10/04/2017 15:13

The amount of syns for an Easter egg is shocking.

Apparently they are coated in oil or butter to make them shiny! 🙄

Much better off to have normal chocolate and syn it if possible.

ALemonyPea · 10/04/2017 15:24

There are roughly 75-80 syns in a Cadbury Easter egg Shock

People who get weighed week in week out and haven't stuck to plan at all get on my nerves. I really want to grab them and tell them to stop wasting their money.

Getting weighed early tomorrow, then not until Friday or Saturday next week. Going to try stick to it for the majority. Have a few things planned for the Easter weekend, hence the late WI next week as dont want to feel like I'm being strict. I'll probably still stay on plan

What?! Easter chocolate is coated in oil???! For real?

Groovee · 10/04/2017 15:42

We've had a different consultant the last 2 weeks. Worried about the change in scales this week. I'm 2lbs off my 2st!

ALemonyPea · 10/04/2017 15:59

Bloody hell that is a lot of syns lemony!
I had no idea there were that many syns in Easter eggs. I love them too, I don't know why they taste better when the are shaped like an egg (maybe the oil/butter!)

ALemonyPea · 10/04/2017 19:34

Isn't it! I'd rather eat 70 syns worth of proper chocolate bars than have an egg. At least then I'd feel like I'd had something substantial.

OP posts:
BasinHaircut · 10/04/2017 20:44

I'm glad I know that now, will help me not to eat any. I'm not madly fussed about chocolate but would probably eat some for the sake of it without really thinking. I don't think I'll bother now though.

Anyway I didn't go to weigh in tonight, I'm going to go Thursday instead as I missed the early session and then me and DH needed to go shopping for birthday presents so couldn't make the later one.

Problem is, Thursday is a morning class so I'm going to be lighter aren't I!

ALemonyPea · 10/04/2017 20:51

Yes you will Basin, but it'll be a good boost and incentive for you to stick to plan.

Now, I really need to avoid the pack of hot cross buns sitting on my kitchen bench

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2017 21:53

Yeah that's what I'm hoping lemony! I will have breakfast first though.

Anyway today wasn't really on plan because I skipped lunch as I was rushing around and so quickly had weetabix and milk for lunch when I got 5 mins. So 2 lots of HEXA&B but 9 syns if I syn it.

Dinner was pulled pork, carrot, swede and potato mash, sugar snap peas and coleslaw. 4 syns all in so finish on 13 syns.

Maintained again tonight. Grrrrrr.

I have to remember I have lost 2.5 stone but I'm trying to get into a size 10 dress for August.
I really don't think it's going to happen. 😨

What can I do to shake myself up this week?

I've had a sugar binge tonight and I'm over it.

More water this week......less carbs......more speed.

latedecember1963 · 10/04/2017 22:13

Had a fall from grace this evening. DS2 has gone off on his D of E expedition and DS1 at his girlfriend's so DH &I home alone. DH persuaded me to have fish & chips as a treat. We shared 1 fish and had a smallish portion of chips between us. Shouldn't have wavered but it's done now. I haven't bought any hot cross buns yet as I love them too much. Will get a pack on Thurs ready to have on Friday. Have prepared 3 day's worth of syn free pasta salad so at least my lunches are organised.

LavenderRains · 10/04/2017 22:56

Well done to anyone who has lost. It's a tricky time of year!
I've not been to weigh in for the last 2 weeks cos of work. Due to go on Wed.
Feeling a bit nervous as although I've not been too bad I've had a few meals out with puddings, but I reckon I've been 93-95% on planConfused....... the scales will reveal all!!!

Groovee · 11/04/2017 07:47

Good luck to everyone weighing in today.

@calzone what about mixing things up a bit. Different breakfast, different lunch, different evening meal!

Groovee · 11/04/2017 07:47

Oh forgot to say that tonight is when I start my Burlesque chair dance class. Nervous.

ALemonyPea · 11/04/2017 07:53

That sucks Calzone.

What about having a speed B choice? So one Hifi/Alpen bar or 2 ryvita, and there is always tinned/stewed/dried fruit as well.

I only have carbs with one meal, it does help.
