Groovee I got them in Sainsburys but I think I've seen them in waitrose.

OwlinaTree · 08/04/2017 21:31

Thanks lemony.

Have family visiting this weekend, just had Chinese takeaway. Had hot and sour soup and then chicken in black bean sauce and boiled rice, and miraculously for me didn't eat it all! I got full and then I stopped!!

That's 12.5 syns according to the app, but who know really. I feel I've made the best possible choice. No wine either as no one wanted wine, they were all on beer and I didn't want to open a whole bottle for one glass worth.

Really hope I see the difference on the scales on TuesdayEnvy

Groovee · 08/04/2017 22:01

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2017 08:14

Morning.

I just had a bathroom scale weigh and at the moment it looks like I gained about 2.5lbs overnight! I was on plan with 3 meals but no snacking at all apart from an apple yesterday so I have no idea what's happening! Probably didn't drink as much as I should have yesterday so maybe that's it? Will up my water today. Really don't want a gain at weigh in tomorrow.

Was meant to be at a christening this afternoon but DS has vomited twice this morning and is now sleeping on my lap so we aren't going to go. I'm secretly glad because there would have been a buffet and as hard as I try I cannot resist a buffet. Today will be much more on plan as we will be at home.

Really fancy a spag Bol.

KnobJockey · 09/04/2017 08:18

Had a challenge set by our leader to stay 100% all week, and post pictures of every meal and snack on our facebook group for 1 week. Surprised to say I've kept up with it! Last week had a 3lb loss, but that was after a 2ll gain the week before. Now at a very slow and steady total of 11.5 loss since 17th Jan, 9lb more to go to target.

Tip of the week is the peppa pig/ Yoda/ storm trooper ice creams in Aldi. £1.09 for ,4, 0.5 syns each. They're not particular nice ice cream (mini milk type), but they are very good for not feeling deprived when everyone else is having one. Peppa is strawberry, Yoda chocolate and the stormtroopers are vanilla.

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2017 08:54

knob that's a pretty good idea, sharing pics of ALL food. I used to always post a pic of dinner on here which I think helped. Might start doing that again.

OrianaBanana · 09/04/2017 09:19

Here's my dinner from last night! Bacon double cheeseburger, paprika fries, corn on the cob and salad. 2 days on it 100%, I'm so proud! Can't quite believe I'll lose, eating all this tho.

Today's plan:

B - coffee, weetabix and milk (HExA1 and B1), clementine
L - speed salad, ham (probably)
D - roast beef, mash, sweet potato, Yorkshire (2), carrots and broccoli, with SW free gravy, horseradish (1?), strawberries

S - hifi lights (HexB2), light Philly (HexA2) with sweet chilli sauce (1.5) and carrot sticks, fruit. Babybels maybe (HExA3)

Here is last nights dinner for me: beef and noodles with a sort of teriyaki sauce and stir fry veg. Was yummy and huge!

Looks great Basin!

Groovee · 09/04/2017 11:22

Food looks fab. My presentation is never great lol x

KnobJockey · 09/04/2017 11:26

Neither is mine Groovee! Most people post masterpieces, mine often looks like someone's been sick on a plate.

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2017 12:15

It was too spicy mind you, too much chilli.

I have been photographing most of my dinners since I started and putting him in an album on my iPhone. I look through it when I'm meal planning so I don't forget about any of the new things we've tried and get inspiration. So I try to make it look nice for the photo Blush

I've just done a fuckton of batch cooking and now I'm treating myself to a sit in the sun listening to Al Green and having a coffee. Bliss.

DS threw up all over my bed an or so hour ago but on the plus side seems much better for it. He had been a crying mess since 7am but hopefully that's the lot now.

latedecember1963 · 09/04/2017 12:57

Oh, poor mini-basin, what a shame to be ill on such a lovely weekend. At least you didn't get to the christening to have him throw up. Years ago we drove from the NWest to Oxford for a christening where DS2 was violently ill and we sat at the back of church with him hunched over a bucket just in case he was sick again. We sat through the ceremony, apologised to our friends and began the trek home. Your comments made me smile because DS1 was most indignant about missing out on the buffet because of his nuisance of a brother.
I hope you have a loss too but preferably not because you've caught DS's bug!

Groovee · 09/04/2017 13:00

Lol Knob are you my food presentation twin 😂.

Aww mini Basin hope you are feeling better x

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2017 13:08

Thanks guys, he seems ok now, just looks a bit grey round the eyes. Trying to keep him inside which is no fun as I want to be outside!

BasinHaircut · 09/04/2017 14:15

Loads of people losing and planning! Just what keeps us on track and helps us keep going. Smile
My eldest had a sleepover last night, so we've been den-making and playing outside since 7am! Shock Had a BBQ last night and lots of leftovers for tea today though...so no cooking all day bar breakfast.
Food Today -
BREAKFAST: Bacon medallions, poached eggs x2, mushrooms & w/m toast x1(1/2 heb), strawberries a sliced apple.
LUNCH: Sliced chicken, w/m bread x2 (3s - 1 slice was 2nd 1/2 of heb), beetroot salad, lettuce, sliced tom.
DINNER: Leftover chicken breast, steak and jacket spuds from BBQ last night. Will rustle up a salad with red onion, pepper and cherry toms to go with it all.
Lots of strawberries, apple and grapes to dip in sweetened ff fromage frais if we're hungry too.
SNACK for my 11am hunger-madness: caramel Dowe Egberts, toffee muller light.

Going on a nice walk later on with the dogs too. Loving this amazing weather! Smile

ALemonyPea · 09/04/2017 16:17

Basin, step away from the scales! Hope your DS isn't too ill over the next few days.

Lovely weather here today. We've had a BBQ, so much yummy food, but I was good and stayed away from all the high fat foods. 2 syncs for all my yummy stuff, which was 1 sync for the prawns in sweet chilli sauce, and 1 sync for the salad cream.

What chilli sauce do you use Lemony?

ALemonyPea · 09/04/2017 17:08

They were already marinated in it, they're from Tesco, half syn each. They're in the three for a tenner deal, you only get four in a pack though, but worth it.

lemony that looks delicious. Spag Bol with broccoli and 3 syns of Parmesan cheese here for dinner. I've got some mini twister lollies in the freezer that I think are only 2 syns so gonna finish with one of those a bit later.

DS gone to bed nice and early, got a bit of food down him this evening so I think he is ok now. Wondering if it was due to being or in the sun on Saturday now.... which makes me feel like a terrible mother! Confused

Basin my friends son has returned from cub camp with heatstroke. Hope mini Basin is ok x

Spaghetti Bol looks fab. That's on the menu for tomorrow x

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2017 07:29

I think that's what it was groovee, once he had finished being sick he was fine. Just a bit off his food yesterday. His ahem number twos were completely normal so doesn't seem like a bug.

So the good news is that the weight I gained overnight on Saturday seems to have disappeared again last night. Think I'm on course for a maintain this week though which I'll be disappointed with as apart from my cheat meal I've been on plan.

Next weekend however is going to be tricky as I'm out for a meal and drinks on Friday, then staying at my parents for Easter and at a beer festival on Monday. Shock

And my consultant is open on BH Monday so I need to get weighed! Although I'll go in the morning instead of evening and hope the time of day means that I don't gain, then I've got a week to sort it out (although I'm on a hen do the following Saturday).
